I was at this show on the other side of the stage!. When I saw him live at the Rebel Lounge in October 2016 he played I've Been Doing Well right into Time Out! He really went off in Time Out! Too.. It was amazing.
This song is immortal to me. It embodies this feeling of regret and sadness that one can only feel after a quarter lifetime of failed relationships, achievements and self-sabotage in all of lifes aspects. To me, it has the same iconic value as Death Cab's famous line "Sorrow drips into your heart through a pinhole, just like a faucet that leaks and there is comfort in the sound." - Hearing this live version with its many postrock elements, driving drums and lowkey flow/rage was almost as if I was hearing the song for the first time again. Thanks for recording and uploading and for doing such a good job with it. What device did you use? The part before the last verse with the music, guitars, drums=perfect.
A year ago he did some solo shows when he was on tour with La Dispute. When he played "I've Been Doing Well" he went straight into Time Out! it was absolutely gorgeous.
