Nice that there was a happy ending - but PLEASE don't encourage thieves by leaving a key under the mat. Lock boxes are reasonably priced and can be permanently attached to walls, railings, etc.
Where I live and grew up..alot of areas down south have very very family and neighborly friendly areas of living! In Alabama trust and believe someone would have either called or found a way to let leasing know that someone they hadn’t seen before was robbing anyone, or the would’ve met him at the door with guns, or gone right in after them! 😂 Alabama dont play that! If you get robbed here its a setup 👀

I can't tell you how many times I've gotten into a client's mistakenly locked house by looking under the mat or a nearby flower pot. People are weirdly predictable in some ways.
