@macroevolve You're partly right. It's when Indiana and Caitlin Clark come to town that they sell out. In her last 2 years of college, not only did Carver-Hawkeye sell out every game, they sold out every road game and every tournament game. It's become known as part of "The Caitlin Clark Effect".

It would be nice, but her "team" has to be willing to work with her, and not ignoring her. Stats don't lie. The difference in those 2 games against Liberty prove it. Caitlin needs to be PG if they are to succeed.
I think Caitlin can execute anywhere on the floor and changing it up at times may help her be set to hit key shots and not always have those that are 3 inches taller all in her face beginning at half court.
@@valeriecaraotta7788 Whatever needs to be done, she can do it. She has this insane ability to see a play forming before it even does, or as they call it "court vision", and she is so good at it. She was practically born with a basketball in her hands and was playing with brothers and cousins as they grew. One time she and one of her brothers were playing in the basement and went for a loose ball. She shoved him into a wall, his head was bleeding and he needed 4 staples in his head! She has lived basketball since 6th grade between school and AAU ball, playing with/against high school girls, then before going to Iowa, she played on a U19 Team USA international team with Paige Bueckers and Hailey VanLith. They brought home the gold medals. From there it was on to Iowa where history was made then onto the WNBA where she continues to excel. She can put up a 3 from anywhere on the front court and she needs very little space to do it. That doesn't mean she will hit every one, nobody is that good, but she isn't far from it. She has no fear, she loves to chew on the ref's ears if she thinks they should have called a foul when they didn't. We'll see how that goes in the W. If her team is willing to work with her, they will be nearly unstoppable. She took Iowa to the NCAA championship 2 years in a row but they couldn't finish it with the win. She's still hungry.

I have the Fever to watch thanks to Caitlin, and the Aces to watch thanks to Kate Martin and Megan Gustafson, all Iowa Hawkeyes. Last night and again tonight they weren't televised, so that was a disappointment but there will be something on ESPN in the morning. There are a few clips here from the Aces game, but unfortunately they lost. Hopefully they will improve on that moving forward.

Because of Clark the sport might actually turn a profit for the first time since it started. It is a business like any other and whether you like it or not this is Caitlin Clark effect bring much needed exposure to a league that was literally a tax write off for the NBA. People pay to see Clark and hopefully it will allow other teams and players to get the recognition they deserve so can grow the sport more. Time will tell

I think this season Caitlin will be among the top 15 players in the league. I would not be surprised if she has a run to make the All-star game.
Clark is a classy act! Indiana lost, and she still said all that complementary stuff. Will Indiana make the playoffs? I have no idea.A lot depends on whether Christy Sides figures out what the hell to do with the team! Engineering an approach that maximizes everyone's strengths and minimizes their weakness will be tough. I do know the Fever need to be in better shape. Clark can run circles around some of them after the season she just went through at Iowa. They need to work on catching her passes. Attentiveness and timing need to improve. Screens need to improve. They need to be ready to drain threes when they get passes from Caitlin. They need to be at the basket ready to lay it in when a pass arrives. This takes time and practice and experience. We'll see continuous improvement if everyone keeps an open mind within that organization.
I ain't no expert but I suspect they'd have to win a couple of games to make it to the playoffs.
The fast paced game Clark plays demands other teammates be down the court ahead of her. Before last game she had breakthrough opportunities but no one there to receive or worse…get the rebound. Last game proved that hustling made a huge difference and kudos to those off the bench that were AMAZING!!

I’ll watch wnba this season only when fever is playing. I hope she becomes successful. She’s a target. like eveybody else can score except for her. That makes her the underdog for me. I like rooting for underdogs. Some old dogs are just plain mean. That kind of crowd won’t be there for other teams not playing the fever.
Even the greatest NBA player of all time needed help. Jordan needed help. First, he needed a coach, and then he needed Pippin along with other role-players. Jordan looked great from the beginning, but until he got help, there was no real winning going on. Clark is going to need help. Her team can't run the floor like she can. They are not in shape for it. Her coach doesn't know how to use her weapons or make adjustments. It's a mess right now. Surround her with the right people, and it will be showtime.
And to your point...Jordan was not heralded like Clark is as a rookie. And he was aware that he needed help. He did not complain about his teammates and told them to come up to his level. He enhanced the entire team and when his help came...he won six championships. Clark has help, but she is so engrossed in her own hype that she doesn't realize it. Yes, she needs time, but she also needs humility. And her so-called fans need to stop the madness. Clark is good, but not nearly as "great" as fans are making her out to be. And all the hype about filling seats...that is great marketing. If people are repeated told that something is really great, they will believe it and every little thing that comes from is will seem great.
@@glenparksbonanzahs6376 Funny how things are remembered. Jordan used to get on his teammates when he was winning. He continually pushed them from his beginnings to be better. Of course, he pushed himself to be better as well. He did have to wait for the right coach and the right teammates to come as well. There was humility, but there was confidence in what he was doing. A lot of people thought he was being overhyped. Clark has a lot of the same expectations Jordan had of his early teams. He wanted them to be better, so does Clark. Only time will tell if she lives up to the expectations put on her. I will say it will be interesting. There are people on both sides of the fence. Ones waiting for her to fail and those waiting for her to succeed.

However, they gave the credit to the two shots that Clark made, which by the way did not affect the outcome like fans are making it seem.
So CC team is the only team in the wnba that is allow to set pick on the opposing team so she can score but no team in the wnba can't double her where she is forced to pass pass the ball are cause a turnover.
So we team double her that's means she good so that mean if she need a screen to get a shoot off we can all agree she not that good but an average player
