Other way: • Shut Down • Turn On • Press CMD+R • Screen will pop up • Hit Utilities • Terminal • Type "resetpassword" • A window will pop up asking you what new password you want • Press "Save" • Shut down computer •And turn on again! • Enter the new password you setup • AND BOOM! Without even loosing the data!

So, and friend that had got the exact same one at a yard sale, gave it to me, but I could only use it signed up under guest, but I am unable to update anything (ya know, with not being the administrator) so it's starting to be useless. So, I tried what you said to do here on this video of yours and it seemed as if it was going to work. However, after rebooting, it came to that language option which i chose english, then the computer acted as if it was starting up, where you see the stars and welcome (i believe) in several different languages, then it freezes on one of the last foreign welcome, can you help or at least reverse it?

Hi, I just got a A1297, but it's going back. ( Is that a 32 bit and Catalina is 64 bit? ) to replace my mini. I'm not quite sure where to invest my money? But it somehow now doesn't work. After less tha one week. I love the 17" screen (lots of mirrored / reflected image, but it's cool, just gotta dim the room lighting. and the new 16"'is way too much for me now. But I did see a "Custom Instaall on an A1297, running Catalina 10.15.5. 2009 model. I hate my 2013 mini is not supported by tech support by Apple so much anymore, they are really great at apple! Not that they could ever fix it but the mini is sooo slow. You can turn it on, then coffee maker. The Mac mini, LATE 2014, 1.4 GHz DDR3 @ 1600 MHz Intel HD Graphics 5000 @1536 MB. Anyway I was looking for a helper, or some help to find another MacBook Pro! Thanks
So big, the question here is - can you access the other admin account WITHOUT changing their password (if you didn't know what it was or wanted to reset it to the original pw after you accessed their account) and not leave a trace that you created a secondary account?
this does NOT work if they setup the firmware password. you can not access the computers hard drive, usb, DVD, or anything to change anything without the password and there is no reset except flashing the chip.... which is what they do when you send it back to Apple.
Does this hack mess with any existing information (pictures, documents, files, Internet connections) that are already within the account. I have a MacBook with existing information and I'm hoping to gain access to the one account on it without losing any information that's on it. Thanks

ok thx...but i do habe another problem with my external Western digital - 2 TB external drive with a set password. the harddisc felt on a hard floor. the disk utilitiy check it and its ok.. no problems. but i do not have any access any more to enter my HD cause it takes very long to check the password i put it but it doeas not take it. how can i fix this problem.... cause my datas are still there. any idea....

What happens when you hit "cntrl s" and it goes to a blinking folder with a question mark in the center rather than a prompt? It won't go to the prompt no matter what I do.. Could there be something wrong with the hardware MB ect.?
Restart while holding the command +R, continue holding until you have passed select language. You will see OS X utilities > click firmware password utility on menu bar and then choose reset password. This will allow you to log into your user account, you will have to then reset the key-chain manager. To avoid having this done to your computer by someone other than yourself: encrypt your drive and set a firmware password. ( If you forget the firmware password you will need to take the computer to the Apple Store, or use Transfer mode)

You cannot enter single-user or verbose mode if the computer owner or administrator has enabled Open Firmware Password Protection.

Question... Why do you use "shutdown -h now" when you can just use "reboot"?
I don't think I showed the password screen because IT DIDN'T POP UP. That's the thing. This method allows you to BYPASS the PASSWORD SCREEN :P

It changes nothing. Allows you to log in as an admin.
