"Post Ultra!", An Ultra Street Fighter IV Combo Video

- For some reason this video rendered in 50fps despite me setting my editing software to 60, so we'll just have to live with it.
UPDATE: Due to hardware failure I'm having issues with pretty much every aspect of making videos, be it labbing, recording, video and image editing, you name it. As such I can no longer finish my next USFIV video in 2021 as I intended. Labbing is the main issue, I have no idea how to proceed on that point, and as such I have no choice but to put the video on hold until I can figure out a solution. I know the video will be worth the wait though, I've found some insane stuff. Thanks for your patience!
Full rules:
-Must be performed in the latest version of USFIV, no edition select.
-Must be possible in VS mode, no training mode only glitches or infinite meter.
-No trades of any kind during the entire combo and its set-up.
-Start from 0 stun. 0-stun combos are OK.
-As long as another move connects after a Super/Ultra hits it counts.
-"Moves" are defined by the character's in-game movelist. If it's listed separately there it's a different move, and if not it's not.
-Passive/Non-hitting Supers/Ultras have to be started and ended inside the same combo, that includes the entire duration of install type moves.
-No cheating/modding/extremely game-breaking glitches.
Honorable mention to Gen's Mantis U2, which you can combo after in many different situations but not within these rules. Here's an example of a Post U2 combo where you trade moves before the Ultra: • "Gotta Patch 'Em All!"...

Again, that's probably one of the most interesting things I've seen in years! The Ken combo from U2 to EX srk was my favorite. And the Guile scream made me laugh. And dhaslim reminded me of the Catastrophic Rebound video.

On some characters, like Abel, you can actually get away with just doing dash to U1 after cl.MK, no need to jump cancel into dive. A tip if you're struggling to land it in VS.

Thanks, I actually found a way better version of the U1 combo, but it involved a more complex set-up so I'm saving it for my next video :P
Makes me wonder what other abilities are possible after single hit juggle u1. If this works how I think it does, it may be possible to do quite a bit after full juggle (ex ssb) vs focus crumple. Duds 1hit duck upper on crumple doesn't give full, so I'm assuming this is similar.
May play with this.
@@Rhuel47 When U1 hits like this it adds 1JP per hit. Super has JP5 on the first three hits which is why only the first and 4th hits connect (4th has JP6).

Hey Doopliss, I just wanted to let you know I found another post ultra set up for Oni! It gets 1 connect of EX Tatsu like in the rose combo, but it's with the grounded ultra 1, and it's on Dee Jay! I love rewatching your videos it motivates me to get in the lab and make videos!

The alternative way to combo after Gen mantis super is that on Balrog and Zangief you can do nj.hk x2 into Crane Ultra as well.

I love going to training mode, Picking (me) Ryu vs (CPU) Sagat. Get Sagat to the corner, jump in with RH, c forward, EX Tatsu, ultra, super (or reverse I forget!). Of course you need infinite meter and the combo is super easy with minimal practice. Too bad such situations will never see the light of day in a combo video forbidding infinite meter. I just like fun combos is all.

It is possible to do a light Rising Jaguar after Adon's Super's neutral ender juggle. I've done it once in training but I wasn't able to replicate it. I'll try and post the link here if I get it.
I believe you can get U2 as well in some situations actually. Keep in mind that if you get the wallbounce midscreen it lasts for longer than in the corner.

watching this made me wonder
what's the most you can get away with, and still get a full animation Ultra? I always found it off that Ultras become glorified Supers in most scenarios.
Also - I find it funny that Shout of Earth (anti-ground) actually juggles better than (anti-air)?
It's usually based on juggle potential, some moves will only trigger an animation at JP0. Someone like Gouken for example can carry that 0 for a long time, but as soon as it's 1, his U1 won't animate anymore.

The only problem with this video is music is way too loud taking away the epicness of these sick combos... :/ other than that... unbelievable-first-time-seen combos and that comes from a person who completely skipped SF5 and still plays sf4 since 2009! Desk would be jealous!
I forgot to turn up game volume when recording so I had more issues than I normally do balancing sound effects and music, I won't make that mistake again next time ;)
Also I didn't SKIP SFV but I gave it up around two years ago :P
