Awesome video!! The one way I tell between the Harley tags is that the late 80s early 90s Harley Davidson tags said “Harley Davidson Motor CLOTHES”, then in the mid 90s they changed the tag to “Harley Davidson Motorcycles”. So the Harley tag that says CLOTHES is older! AmaZing collection! ❤️
Speed limit 70, Fruit of the loom and other brands also have licensed merchandise. Especially in the 70's 80's and early 90's. Those clothing brands was official.
So, very weird thing has just happened to me. Recieved a HD from a giveaway and I kid you not, the front has 2003 copyright but the back has 1996 copyright. It is double stitched but it’s the one u would typically see as the vintage double stitch and it’s by holambek or whatever it is
That just means the last copyright on the art on the back was in 96. This happens from time to time when they use older art. 2003 would be the more Like age.
hey! i don’t know if you really even use your channel anymore, but i’m stumped on this harley tee i thrifted recently! it has a licensed by harley tag ( never seen one ) it’s single stitch and a turtle neck ( which ive also never seen a long sleeve turtle neck harley shirt ) if you could help me out on dating it, that would be amazing
Hi, I do have here a harley davidson tshirt but i dont know what year is this and I've research for the design that I have but I wasn't able to see same design with me. I dont know if this is a rare design or a vintage.
Harley tees were often printed by local Harley shops and often didn't use the standard Harley care tags. This means they could have ended up on a variety of blanks. I think you're probably in the clear.
Hi there I just recently acquired a 1994 Daytona bike week xl Harley tee, it has the correct copyright and tag but it is double stitched and I haven’t been able to find a shirt with the same design in my search. I am super curious about it’s design and how much it may be worth now. Please let me know if you would be willing to help me in identifying it!
The industry began transitioning around 1996 so it's certainly possible that Harley tees from 1997 would be double stitched. It's also possible to find them with single stitches around this time still. Thanks!
Hey, I've recently acquired a made in USA vintage 100% Leather Harley Corset and would really like to know the year and how to price it, would you be able to help out?
Is there a genuine vintage Halli T-shirt that doesn't have h.d copylight printing? I have vf image wear usa made harley t shirt (black brand tag) But that t shirt doesn't have a h.d copyright printing anywhere So I'm afraid it's fake or modern.
I have one like that also. . I was going to ask him that question but you did it for me 😬 I am puzzled why he said to usr the newer date?? Would it be better to use older date for Vintage? I don’t know I’m just starting to look into this kind of thing, thx!! it’s fun!
@@msw785 I guess it would just make more sense for it to be dated on the most recent date since they wouldn’t have put copyright years ahead of when it was produced
@@msw785 Because the newer date is more likely closer to the true age of the item. You can't have a copyright date in the future so the t-shirt must be at least as young as the copyright date. If one date is 1988 and one is 1994 the t-shirt must at least as young as 1994. It can't be older than is youngest date. Thanks for watching!

I have multiple Harley Davidson shirts that have 3D emblem art on them dated 1991, but they have Harley Davidson motor clothes tags. Are they real or fake?
I have 2 Harley shirts that have 3d emblem artwork from 1991 on them. They both have the small bar and shield tag on the front bottom, but they have Delta tags inside. Is this something you have came across?
I have a Chinese collar Harley t , with a white Harley tag ( r.k. stratman on back of tag ) without any copyright marking n is double stitched , what year it can be ???
Possibly. Could also be pre 1980s or just worn off. If you want you can send me some pictures to lootfam1@gmail.com. I’d love to take a look. Thanks for watching!
last time I went into a harley dealer all they had were t-shirts!! no motorcycles!! they should be out of business soon once all the old farts die off. Kids today have no interest in harleys if they ride a bike at all its a crotch rocket
@@LootFam well i hope that doesn’t happen but even Harley’s attempt and newer modern bikes aimed at the younger crowd are mot going over very well i think young kids today would rather ride motorcycles in video games!
So I recently found my first Harley shirts thrifting today, one of them is clearly dated 2018 but my second shirt has a white tag is this older or newer?

3d emblem ended its ties with Harley by 92 as it’s the last year they worked with them. Tag for 3d then changed to the newer style tag.
Great info as always. However, one quick correction that isn’t related to clothes is that the bikes in The Wild One were mostly Triumphs not HD’s.
Anyone know how old a Harley Tee with an HL Miller Tag would be, or if it would even be authentic? Thanks!
Thanks for the info ❤
My Harley long sleeve is double stitched with a AAA tag

Hey man, I am in love with the fit and feel of these tees! DO you have any idea how to find out what kind of t-shirt blank they use?
Thats a good question! I’m not sure. Their were a lot of t-shirt factories back then so might have been their own custom design.

I have a Harley shirt that’s single stitch and it had a tag that says licensed by Harley Davidson but that’s all it says off the scale
Most licensed by harley tags are from the late 90s onward. Dope!
These are super helpful tips Thank you!

So if it has an additional size tag it’s probably modern ?
Generally, yes. There are some exceptions for shirts from y2k, but largely that is correct.
Hey man, I recently bought a Harley tee from a charity shop and am struggling to figure out the age, are you able to help?

Did 1997 Harley tee come with double stitches? (Plz answer my question🙏)

I have a screaming eagle button up orange and black with flame patches says main gate on the back of the tag.not sure if you know the age on it.
my harley shirt has a different date on the front and back what does this mean
It just means that the arts were copy written in different years. The youngest date will be the most accurate.
Hey, I've recently acquired a made in USA vintage 100% Leather Harley Corset and would really like to know the year and how to price it, would you be able to help out?
Not an expert on the leather stuff but i can probably get it close. Send some photos to lootfam1@gmail.com. Thanks!
My Harley long sleeve is on a tripple A blank, is it a bootleg or did tripple A also put out Harley ?
Is there a genuine vintage Halli T-shirt that doesn't have h.d copylight printing?
I have vf image wear usa made harley t shirt (black brand tag)
But that t shirt doesn't have a h.d copyright printing anywhere
So I'm afraid it's fake or modern.
It’s certainly younger if it’s VF. But probably not fake.
Amazing info!!
Thanks!
What if the sleeves are single stitch and the bottom of the shirt is double stitch is that still qualified as vintage?"
In most cases, yes.
Mine has a copyright date on the front and a copyright date on the back but they don’t match. Which is the correct year? The newer year or older year?
The copyright is for the art itself not the t-shirt. Though often the art dates are close to the age of the shirt. I'd go with the newer date. Thanks!

They are real but likely just using the 3d emblem designs.
Ok so real Harley shirts just not technically 3D emblem shirts? I appreciate the info by the way. I knew you would be the right person to ask!
i have a harley tee with a rk stratman tee what year do i date it as or do i just say y2k
Depends, if its black its likely mid 90s or younger. If its white its probably late 80s to mid 90s.
I have 2 Harley shirts that have 3d emblem artwork from 1991 on them. They both have the small bar and shield tag on the front bottom, but they have Delta tags inside. Is this something you have came across?
Yes, not uncommon to have HD print on other blanks.
That’s what I was thinking, but I figured I’d ask a pro.

I have t shirt if harley d
My shirt has a white Harley Davidson tag
Does that matter? 🧐
It could. Could you send me a picture of the tag to lootfam1@gmail.com?
I have found a Harley tee from 86’ with a signal mega-tee is that a legit tag?
It totally could be. If you'd like you can email me some photos to lootfam1@gmail.com.
Do you know what tag harley davidson before 3d emblem
Before 3D Emblem there wasn’t an official brand and dealers were choosing whatever blank ms they wanted from my understanding.
I have 1 Harley Davidson polo
What about the Biker Built by riders for riders shirts, are these vintage at all? :/
Not that I'm aware of, but I'm not super familiar with those products. Thanks for watching!
I found a 2000 year HD shirt and it’s single stitch is that common?
It's not common, but it is possible. Single stitch tees can still be found into the early 2000s. Thanks!
I have tag B.M.C
Made in Mexico
Is fake?
Unlikely fake, just more recent.
I have a HD tee thats on a screen stars best black tag, single stitch. No copyright. Would that mean that is bootleg ?
Possibly. Could also be pre 1980s or just worn off.
If you want you can send me some pictures to lootfam1@gmail.com. I’d love to take a look. Thanks for watching!
Will do ! Thanks for the info. Im a big fan of that channel btw🙏🏻
No, dealers were known to buy their own blanks. It would depend on the print to look for clues on authenticity.
