I always learn good info from you. This is something I don't have a need for, but I appreciate that you are a perfectionist and willing to share your vast knowledge.
I’m new to REL and really new to multiple subs. The REL magic is really what their subs do the the Mids, Mid Bass and Highs of the overall sound signature of the whole system. I thought subs were all about bass. I learned subs are the foundation of the sound signature and overall sound quality. When i compare subs, I use a lot of Tracks that have very little to no bass. Obviously a bigger or more powerful sub will have higher SPL and lower frequency extensions and that difference is easy to evaluate. It’s how the sub impacts the mids and the highs that makes the difference for me. Also, I think they package them upside down so you can flip it over onto its feet. You won’t be able to pull a 70 pound sub out of the box like you did with the zero. Good luck with your journey. Watch out for the rabbit holes…. The first hole is the two sub question. Get two and you will never be happy again with one, I think. Or your room and ears may refute that claim. But try it, if you dare….
Hi Mike, great unboxing video. You have great taste in speakers and music. A few months ago I replaced my Paradigm speakers with Sonus faber Sonetto IIs. I absolutely love the natural sound of Sonus faber. I have been looking at getting REL subwoofers and am trying to figure out if I should get dual T/5x or T/7x. I am very curious as to how you make out. I have seen several studies over the past year about the improvement that more than one sub delivers. No matter the size of the room, multiple subs will even out the bass in the whole room, so that there are no bass "voids". Looking forward to your next video.
@@craigforeman903 Thanks so much! I’m just trying out the Tzero now, you can actually get a lot of bass out of them but my application is so subtle I’m wondering if they really add all that much. Sonnetto IIs are great! I’m hoping one day to get the Vs if only because it uses some of the Suprema technology in that cork basket. Thanks again. I’ll try to post a review of the Rel soon.
Bass is mono and the same on both channels so theres no stereo effect just 2 woofers playing the same thing if your in a small room 2 subwoofers is redundant and unneccesary 1 good sub fits in and phases in with your system you will overpower your midrange and create a disco
@@danemoreno88 yes but listening to it for the past few days it does add quite a bit and can be dialed to really add a bass you can feel. But I agree with you. Maybe the T7 might be a better choice.
So the REL goes to 37 and after experiencing it I believe that. It feels lower, quite frankly. Thanks for your comment, I agree a T7 would probably be a better choice but it’s so much more expensive and I’m finding good results with this one.
@@archivestereo Will try but if you pull up sub crawl on RUclips you can get a more detailed info. But basically you put your subwoofer where you are going to sit. Put on a good bass track your familiar with and then crawl around the room till you find the best bass your looking for and put the subwoofer in that spot and blend to match there.

Thank you so much Larry! Hope all is well!
Small room,1 subwoofer =EXCELLENT!!
I read that a subwoofer should be one with other speakers
@@ronaldweed6103 Thanks!

I appreciate what you’re saying and tend to agree. Thank you so much for your comment!
Seems kind of a waste that rel only goes to maybe 40hz your speakers end at 55hz wouldn’t it make sense to get a sub that goes to 20hz at least?

Do not buy another one till you do thr subwoofer crawl. You may not need another.
@@badlloyd Thanks; can you define the subwoofer crawl?
