Hey everyone! Narrator here. I'd like to apologise for the quiet audio on the last 2 videos of mine. I am still quite new to the VA space and didn't realise how low the recordings were when sending it off to the editor. I've talked with the other VA's today about what settings and levels they have theirs set to and have made a new vocal chain for my narration going forward, so you should be able to hear it a lot louder from now on. The previous chain and levels after processing was hitting -12dB peak and now is hitting -6dB. Please do let me know on the next video if it's still a bit too quiet and I'll bump it a bit more. I do hope despite the audio cuffuffle that you all at least enjoyed the episode. As for my voice, I can't really change that much, I guess I have a very mellow and relaxed tone, as someone in the comments said "airy". Though I shall try giving it a bit more oomf. I understand you have all been used to the previous narrators, but I too want to do a good job for you all. Thank you for the much needed feedback. I honestly love your voice. I would love to hear you Narrating a story with a more serious or mysterious tone. Also I think the audio problem is on the background sound being louder than it should be.
Yes this seems to be a issue on multiple videos, I'd say about 15 to 20 percent of new content, volume is mix way more quite then rest, and on that note the same applies the other way, I'll cue up a list, and when another video plays I blow my eardrums because the audio doubles in volume.
Well, I liked it. Another good story, different from most, and a narrator I hadn't heard yet. Didn't have a volume problem. My phone's audio is bluetoothed into my hearing aids, which may make a difference.
This was frigging AWESOME! I was off a little at first with this new guy's voice being so soft. But, he's good! He carried the story, drawing me in. And this was one of the best stories I've seen recently. The different perspectives, the way the story went into Mike's training, accentuating a true fighter, not just a brawler. This was very, very good.👍👍👍👍
Micheal Reeves is not only an amazing RUclipsr, he proved his metal at Creator Clash. Not the best fight I've seen, but I couldn't help but keep thinking of him during this story
Sound volume, yes. It's been addressed, and should be fixed in the future. My real issue is the readers "tone" or softness. It would be great for a bedtime story, but for a boxing match or alien fight? Please understand I love Starbound. I am working my way backwards while keeping up on current stories. I think you do a great job in your reading and delivery, but I'm not sure these are your best match ups. PLEASE keep trying. I want you to succeed.
We understand that muscle mass, and bone density decreases in low gravity. So Human gravity advantage will be lost within months. So how does that impact the story?
Might result in a loss in flexibility. Either they need to rush down the human with a swarmer style because we are known for our endurance and strength. Speed might be their best bet.

I'm in a noisy environment so I have my smartphone audio run thru a small amplifier so volume is ok for me, (headphones would be deadly for my occupation)there's nothing wrong with narratior for most, however I prefer a faster cadence..using the onscreen settings I've simply increased playback speed from 1.0 to 1.25, much smoother listening for me....
I always enjoy new episodes of Starbound, but this time there was this high pitched sound warbling in the background the whole video. Might have been supposed to be atmospheric but started giving me a headache.
I played it at 1.25x speed and found the narration pretty decent for setting the story's tone. I play virtually all this channel's narrations at higher speed so nothing different there.

Check your equipment, my volume is at 30%, on the verge of too loud with this story.

Volume of the narrator is a bit quiet compared to the background sound.
Great story, but same problem as everyone else, mix is a little low. I listen to these while I'm making deliveries, and can't hear it over the road
