@@ant5963 Of course we get that but if you have a 5700x paired with a mid range gpu (which is realistically the case of most 5700x owners) and you are thinking to upgrade to a 5700x3D this video wont help you much make up your mind...
@@tayebdjemili honestly both can handle a med range gpu i owned 5600 paired with 2060 they ran very well toegther then my cpu died i replaced with a 4500 then got a 7700xt and they did ok in most games but did stutter in some so i got a 5700x and i have 0 issues so id say just get a 5700x for a med range gpu or 5600 honestly .
5600 and 5700x preform about the same and can handle gpus upto 6800xt or 4070 at 1440p ao if your gpu is worse than either just get a 5600
5700x3d is very similar to 5800x3d they can both handle gpus upto 4080 or 7900xtx without bottleneck. if the price difference is less than 30 get the 5800x3d despite its age its still a amazing cpu
Currently considering the 5700x and 5700x3D to upgrade my 2600, so thanks for the video, it's definitely helpful!

The 5700x advantage in productivity benchmarks won't make any real difference because in reality even those it's supposed to be better its still almost identical in productivity while the 5700x3D is much better for gaming
@@crisppzanuff2868 thats now what I see when comparing my 5700X and 5700X3D systems, the 5700X is faster in archiving, video editing etc, as you said its fairly close, but in long tasks the 5700X advantage starts to stack, in many video editing tasks, Ive saved more than 20minutes using the 5700X system, and doing it often as I do, I save hours per day

I want to upgrade and I mostly play CPU intensive games like old MMOs WOW and FF14. I think 5700x is fine because of the higher frequency?

A bit too late but i upgraded from 2600x to 5700x3D and in WoW (valdrakken) my fps jump from 45 to 138 at peak time.I think WoW benefiit from L3 cache.
@@mpower4204It's 3D cache. Try stalker anomaly with warfare mode, wow, mount and blade. For games like these 3D cache was created, i suppose

You should invest in cooling or do curve optimization for voltage, I have 5700x, and it constantly hits 15500+ in cinebench 23. My cooling is pearless assassin.
14200 is like really low, so I guess the 5700x3d score is also lowered. Based on this it's true to assume, that all the games showed can run faster actually. Anyway thx for the video.

what are your PBO settings ? I have my 5700X(ASUS ROG Hero VIII(WiFi) at 160PPT, 110TDC and 165EDC(have yet to find a good guide of setting these). Per core is -21, -11, -21, -20, -21, -16, -20 and -21. I pull 15239 in R23.

the X3D version is for gaming. It comes at a lower Cores speed with higher cache memory.
the normal version comes with higher speed, and this is what gives it advantage in programes..

There must be something wrong with my 5700x3d. I can get only 129xxk points on CR23 Multicore. Max temp is around 70-72.
AMD gradually reduces it's max clock depending on the temps. Looks like yours is throttling hard.
@@rchamy94 i dont think it would throttle at 72C. Anyway, i got it to work as normal when i reset my OS.

this is my problem also but for me i do gaming at 1440P that is why i am thinking of getting 5700x3d, if you are in a strict budget id rather go with 5700x or 5800x as you are playing in 4K, the higher the resolution the more GPU is being used. so you don't really care about CPU
Why not mention that AMD Ryzen 7 5700X can be overclocked nicely (on good AM4 motherboards), while AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D cannot @ all?
You can get maybe 4.7ghz. that's only 100mhz more than the boost clock...
you want to undervolt the x3D, better temp and performance

Why test with a $3000 video card? No one buying a $250 5700x is going to be spending $3000 on the graphics card.
This is a CPU test so it is important to use the best GPU to not have any bottlenecks.
Its to put emphasis on the cpu to highlight its bottleneck
So it is no use to get X3Ds if you have mid range graphics cards or under.
