Lots of people tell me the 5800X3D is the best gaming CPU, it appears not to be the case. I’m still on AM4 with a 5600X and a RTX 3060Ti. Run triple 1080P monitors for sim racing. Not sure of an upgrade path.

You can tell the 7600x was a good entry level cpu when you compare it to the top of the line one year before !

The 7900X is now less expencive than the 9700X while delivering much better multicore performance which is more important than single core, better or even performance at gaming and better multitasking capabilities since it has more cores, cache and a faster clock. Given the fact that the 9000 series had some architecture and performance issues, I am seriously considering upgrading to a 7900X from my i5 8500.

In my tests the ryzen 7 5700xd3d was 2% faster almost the same performance in most games but amd had like 50% lows and fps dropped a lot hese benchmarks are not accurate!

It's not a great comparison as on screen you're using 5600mhz for the 9950x and 5200mhz for the 7950x3d. Should at least set to the same speed as this skews the test.

I just got a 4090 but I’m still on Ryzen 9 5900x do you guys think it is bottle necking my card becasue I do compares of other peoples games fps to mine and mine is not up to par or could some other faulty piece of tech be hindering it ?

I dont know much about tech, but i believe the 9000 series still needs time for it to fan the flames. Maybe in the future, apps and games will get CPU optimization, smth like that, which eventually gets better and better.

But intel have higher temps isnt that gonna be a problem in the long run?

Is this with the newest bios patches that have come out recently to enable lower core to core latency?
