Fall is here and what better way to spend rainy days than to build models. Metal Earth are tiny 3D-models out of laser cut sheet metal. Its fiddly but kinda cool. But for people like me that lack patience it might not be ideal.

Just finished it. It looks alright when displayed but it's easily the cheapest piece of crap product I've ever seen in a limited edition. It wobbles if you give it the slightest poke and you could crush the whole thing with two fingers. Very flimsy to say the least.

A clean white (or the like) work surface. Clean your hands to keep finger prints away. Maybe spray a coating of clear over the untouched sheet. This is not stainless so it may rust. I used a sharp knife to slice open the package, like letter. The sheet bends easily. The first parts I removed were solid one attached at only two points. Then the more spindly ones, again connecteded with only two points. 1st tool was small diagonal metal cutter to clear away unwanted leftovers. 2: small needle nose pliers with no teeth. 3: small magnet to pick up the parts that got away, LOL. A clean container to put in the parts after you extract them. For some of the three point connections I found it easier to use the diagonal cutter to remove some of the frame (connected to one of the points) and then just remove the part from the remaining two points. Finish it another day and have the glass of port at the end, not before!

IT looks the same im my case. Those models look easy to build only on commercials. Theyre extremely hard to build
