I winced when the drill began to smoke, but great job. Probably the best part was the interaction between you and your wife. She checked your hillbilly drawl, and you toned it down, then you tried to put her in her place with "Sweetie". Very funny stuff along with showing us how to solve the transom problem without putting holes in the boat. Great job.

@@doingstuffwithdylan4367 I got this cheap 35hp with a long shaft I want to put on my little v hull. I also want to be able to switch between my 10hp short shaft so trying to see what I can do to make it work. Good ideas in the video!
That is absolute overkill. Way too much material for the job. Drilling the transom and using some aluminum plate on each side would have been so much easier.

Thanks! She is pretty good at balancing me! Thanks for watching and the comment!
“Where’s it going? Nowhere“ Boondock Saints quote. Impressive
Love that you caught it! Thanks for the comment!! Made my night!!
The Americans won ww1 and WW2 because of their ability to improvise!! This is awesome! GRIZ.
Thanks man! I appreciate the comment!!
The americans?? It was the allies who won the WW2, Great Britain, France, Belgium, America etc. Not just the Americans.
@@boothillcustomleather8652 Well then, don't forget the Soviets.
“I’m putting the clamps on” 😂 good call.
Better safe than sorry. Was a tight fit! Thanks for watching and for sub!
Good job. Nice t-shirt too!!! 🇮🇪💚☘
Thanks man!!!
Your motor is that 2 stroke or 4? That motor almost looks similar to a johnson same color
4 stroke
Great idea!! Thank you.
Thanks glad it was helpful!!
It went 16 knots with the motor raised but how fast did it go before you raised the motor?
It went the same. I did not get a speed increase raising the motor. That’s why I did not want to make it permanent. Thanks for the question!
Could you put a link for the hammer you used?

Might want to try a diy cavitation plate. Motor giving all it’s got. Pretty heavy boat ya got there.
I ended up lowering motor one inch! Helped a lot. No more cavitation!!!
I like it! Thanks for the video
Thanks! And thanks for commenting!
I have a 15 transom with a 17.5 shaft, where did you end up? got the link to the update video?
thanks for posting!
Ended up probably an inch up from where I started maybe a little more I’ll try to get one posted this year
@@doingstuffwithdylan4367 so go 4''
Is that a 2 stroke drill😳
I wish it smell like two-stroke smoke lol! 😂
Your drill bit is either dull, or a wood twist drill, that you have dulled.
I think it was getting dull got the bit from harbor freight. It was new when I started and I did not use oil. Thanks for watching!
Hola que tal, mejoro al subirlo? En que altura te rindio mejor el motor
No Habla Espanol
wanted to know if raising the engine improves performance?
Ya know, I woulda figured a guy like you would own a truck to pull his boat with.🤷🏿♂️
Yep my truck needs work. Thanks for watching
Solid.
Thanks!
Hate it when you "let the smoke out"of power tools.
Yeah me too. They never work the same. Thanks for watching and the comment!

Bet that's heavy
Very true. Aluminum may be better
Never lend this guy a power tool
I buy my own tools. And if I would’ve smoked the drill after I borrowed it, I would’ve replaced it. Thanks for the comment.
Put some earl (oil ) on that bit..
Defiantly should have! Keep it lubricated!

Would have been tough to title the video “no holes”
I love your redneck hammer! A brick! Lol
