I dont know who recommended this but this is not a song at all, this is technically an Arabic prayer and is not related to the persian art and culture.
Hi. I don't know who recommended this as a Persian song because this was not either Persian or a song. I recommend Sirvan Khosravi songs instead. Thanks, I'm Persian!
Personally for me Shajarian is a bit too old style for the modern Persian me, beside the fact I don't care for this Arabic prayer. For young traditional Persian songs I recommend Ehaam's "Soltane ghalbe man", "bezan baran", or "Cheshmanat Arezoost". For Persian electropop I recommend Sirvan Khosravi's "Tanha Nazar", "Monologue | Live ATTOT", or the new "Oon Rooza Ro Mikham". 😃
Mohammadreza Shajaryan was indeed the grand maestro of Persian music. His voice range was more than three octaves. He could play 12 instruments masterfully, wrote many books about the Persian music's Dastgah modal system, invented and improved multiple instruments and was one of the legends in the history of Persian music. This very prayer (which are verses of Quran) was improvised as a practice by Shajaryan in late 1970s and it was recorded on the spot on a day that he was in rush too! And it became eternal....
@@vascopalmanogueira4884 you're welcome. I doubt there are translations of his books. I think a few authors wrote about him and his techniques though. You can find them on Amazon.
He is a legendary singer but as an Iranian I preferred you reacted to one of his songs that he actually sings in persian this is an Arabic prayer but non the less it was interesting to see you react to this
He's reacting to the voice and technique of singing, don't bring politics into it. I'm Iranian too. learn to appreciate art for what it is without arbitrary borders put around it my friend.
The style of the recitation is purely Persian, just like how there is totally separate form of Adhan by Persians. There are styles of Islamic prayers developed in Iran which are based on the Persian musical systems and are totally unique to Iran.
holy shit My favorite RUclips content creator reacting to one of the greatest singers of my country :') am I dreaming? Unfortunately, he passed away a few years ago You should totally listen to more of his Persian songs since he's singing Arabic here. Also, his son is a wonderful singer too💙
You were left in shock and awe. 😊 He truly was the best. Many musicians in Iran believe the country won’t see any one like him again, which actually is sad.
thanks for your amazing reaction, here the Maestro is singing an Arabic prayer that are selected from Quran, and he has recorded it personally for a rehearsal intended to be performed by some other vocalists to be played in Official TV channels, but no one could perform it and they released the track performed by Maestro himself without his permission and illegally and so he banned the Iran's official TV organization for ever. I recommend other masterpieces of him singing in Persian and in Iranian traditional music. here is a song performed by his son Homayoun that got viral and it's just stunning, ba man sanama by Homayoun Shajarian: ruclips.net/video/wDES77ndVFg/видео.html or this one, Rumi poetry by Homayoun Shajarian: ruclips.net/video/NQQIEUDe6Qo/видео.html
Unfortunately, he has passed away. His son Homayoun Shajarian has a couple of great pieces of work as well. I'd recommend "Snama" by him. Absolutely beautiful!
He was recognized as a skilled singer in the challenging traditional Dastgah style. In 1999, UNESCO in France presented him with the Picasso Award and in 2006 with the UNESCO Mozart Medal. In 2017, Los Angeles Times cited him as the "Greatest living maestro of Persian classical music"
This piece is a prayer, reciting verses of Quran. .M.R. Shajarian is known as the greatest classic singer of the contemporary Persian music and is very popular in Iran. Unfortunately he passed away but will be alive in people's heart and mind for his great works. Plz react also the works of his son, Homayoun.
Day 88 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order.
You must know that this whole track was recorded in one setting during his practice, they never got to record a final version since Shajarian got in a fight with the recording crew. This was his WARM UP :))) May his soul rest in peace
Day 18 of requesting a reaction to the following openings: Chivalry of a Failed Knight op Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress op Darling in the Franxx op Kiznaiver op You could make a multiple op reaction for this.
Bro he was and still is the legend of persian music. Unfortunately we lost him few years ago. Now his son is following his steps and takes his father's place perfectly.
Yes, he is a legend. God bless his soul. This is one of his master pieces and it is a prayer in arabic which they used to play specially in the month of Ramadan. But his son is almost as good as him. His name is Houmayon Shajarian. You may want to listen to him as well. They both sing mostly traditional persian.
Good for you to listen to different voices around the world among other Iran and Persian Music considering that this song was not Persian Language without Arabic, but Singer Iranian legendary Mohammad Reza Shajarian. Tthis song was performed by him for a specific time calls "RAMADAN MONTH" and Muslims fast during this month...
Luuk bro i've been following you since you had i guess 60k subs and im a huge fan of ur reactions bro im iranian and im glad u reacting to iranian songs (btw this was a pray singing in arabic by an iranian) Iranian rap is really top heat we also have a rapper living in london that is really famous and really good at his job his name is 021kid he raps in both english and persian u should checkout the cold room from him Also as i see your reactions of have u love unique voices There is also a powerful female singer named sogand Checkout her song named broon(rain) Or salam(hello) Love to see u reacting to this songs dude Thanks again for your reaction
This is not a song. It is the daily lunchtime call to prayer which is called, "az-on". Shajarian was asked to record this after the revolutionary government of Iran banned the previous singer of AZON due to his collaboration with the Pahlavi regime. To pronounce the name correctly, say SHA-JA-RI-ON.SHAJARIAN BECAME AN INSTANT HIT WHEN HE SANG THE SONG, "POR KON PIALE RA", which means "fill up the goblet of Wine". The singing is not as incredible in this song as in Az-on however this piece was the beginning of a revolution in Iranian music. I highly recommend it. The poetry is somber, it is about an old man whose only pleasures, wine can no longer even carry him to bed. And yes, "rabbanna" indeed means OUR Lord. Shajarian was 34 years old when he recorded this 44 years ago. Unfortunately he passed away 2 years ago, however his son Homayoon is as impressive. Try "Rumi Poetry" by Homayoon Shajarian.
great reaction. Shajarian is a traditional singer but this is a prayer not a song(also i prefer his son Homayoun Shajarian). also please react to a traditional Iranian song: roozegare gharib(stranger times) from alireza ghorbani. he is a great singer.
btw ill give u a heads-up. Iranian instruments are numerous and great also the traditional singers are vocalists with great and long breath. these plus the capacity and deep meaning of Persian lang and poems makes soul touching art. sry for the long comment
He performed on NPR a few years before he passed away: ruclips.net/video/GnI4R9Bdl3g/видео.html Also his rendition of "Morgh-E-Sahar" is probably one of his most popular pieces amongst Iranians.
Please listen to " Nedaye eshgh'" and right there you see one of his true talents and let us know what you think? His voice is second to none! We don't have anywhere in a history of Iran someone with that power of voice. and I'm pretty sure we will never going to have one anymore.
bro you have to do the (sanama) from his son homayoun shajarian it's insane i promise it's going to be the best song you've ever heard it's super technical
He’s a legend In iran. But very different kind of music . Traditional. Check out alijenab by Evan band Check out shab beyt by Masih and arash Both are amazing
