I rode this train from Lisbon to Faro back in September 2022. One of the most comfortable travel experiences ever. Easy to relax and enjoy the scenery. I will never forget the green curtains. Train travel in Italy was also great.
A few seats have power sockets. You just have to book the right seats. They are marked on the web site booking (but not on the app) It is the conductor that makes the announcements
19:37 The line doesn't really get into Almada city. That's Santa Marta do Pinhal, which is a neighborhood of Corroios town, which belongs to a parish of the Seixal municipality named Corroios as well. I know this because I lived there for many years.
7:25 its not the driver who does the announcements, its actually the conductor, at the end of each carriage there is a Mic for him to announce the stations
Sorry to quibble, but that was not a Restaurant Car on the train, it was a rather sad looking Cafeteria Car. Oh, how I remember that days of the beautiful Restaurant Car on the Sud Express from Lisboa - now that was a Restaurant Car. Thanks for the review of the Faro line, not the most scenic but still interesting. Cheers!
Just a quick note mate, the 5600 doesn't go up to 220km/h and yes 200, the only train that achieves 220 is the Alfa Pendular service with the FIAT / CPA4000.
A 5600 locomotive does get to 220, however, a consist comprising of a 5600 locomotive and corail cars won't be able to go past 200 - because that's the speed limit of the corail cars.

@@darkendemon4400 Tourism consumption in Portugal “was decisive” for the expansion of the Portuguese economy in 2023, contributing to almost half of real GDP growth. Why be rude to those promoting tourism?
@@seekingtravel This is Portugal, not UK or USA, so you need permit to film on public space when showing people to display on public space as YouTUbe. You also need permit from CP as you are showing their private property and permit from IP for showing their infrastructure. Sharing on RUclips does not qualify as personal use. Just for your information. You might get luck and nobody cares about that, but you should ask permission/inform about filming before filming.
Thank you.

The cars are the old "Corail" french type, first built in 1975 but refurbished, of course.

Thanks for the answer.
Exactly. On the Intercidades cars, only about one-sixth of the seats have a power outlet.

The IC service does not have restaurante service, only bar service.
And since ermidas sado to Pragal station is Setúbal district....

Great the backview to Ponte de 25 de Abril!
Glad you enjoyed it.

A Cafeteria Car doesn't really roll of the tongue :D
Serra de Monchique range is north of Lagos. What you passed was the Serra do Caldeirao range 😉
Thanks for the info!

The 5600 Siemens goes to 220 yes.
Maybe doesn't reach it, but it could, technically.
@@seekingtravel Just confirmed it by a photo of the speedometer. VMax red line on 220 Kmh and speedometer ends at 250 Kmh.

@@josemiguelcosta6372 that is correct. They should make 220 corail cars too.
Stadium Algarve is NOT home from Farense team.... São Luís stadium in Faro is Farense team futebol home
The toilet had no running water in the sink, but you still rated it 4/10?
I guess I’m more lenient :))) I also travel with a lot of disinfectant
think its an old TEE corail train from the 60s!
No, Corail type ! Corail means "COmfort + RAIL".

Thanks for letting me know. It was hard to find reliable geographical info in English
@@seekingtravel if you search on Google caldeirão mountain for example you find information

Where did you get the permits to film onboard the train and showing people?
Public space. You don't need permits.

An old, tired, noisy and clunky gem... It's a crap, that what it is. It's stopped in the 80's from last century. 🤮
New isn't always better. You do have AP for a more premium experience. The comfort was really good though
