Surfed dat spot on some epic days. Yeah, nothing beats live Oama, like you said " everything eats Oama !" Those trumpet fish got nice white meat, especially at that size and bigger, plenty meat and only center bone, totally kid friendly eats. To bad Mr. Puhi taxed your La'i cuz dat one got nice white meat too.🍻

What length rod do you recommend for whipping?
I wouldn’t go smaller than 6’. I use a 9’ and prefer the length. It helps with casting distance and also helps with fishing off of rocks
