Jumping jacks are action for whipping...Papio love them and are used to munching.....
I like lighter drags when fishing circle hooks, spectra, & live bait. More action on the rod is good with spectra too. The live Oama are money. Been meaning to try using them for Uku from da boat.

Yup, thats where that guy (Sky's Daily 808) is from as well that caught the 5.5lb Omilu off of the aholehole. I used to live Waimea, Big Island get action for fish and dive. 🤙

Bummer about that big omilu missing the hook! Regarding the first lai. If you are using an offset circle hook you will hook more fish deep in the gut. The offset point defeats the purpose of it being a circle hook. Inline circle hooks rarely get stuck anywhere other that in the corner of mouth.q

You have to lube up your knots with fluorocarbon. Too much friction. Try spitting on it before you sinch it. Happen to me when i first used it.

I use 15 and 20lb leader just so fish dont pop my line on the strike
i dislike that knot due to it cutting on itself. i wish i know what the knot i use is called id let you know ... much harder to cut itself off. never did have one cut on me yet
iirc its the palomar knot, bulkier, but wont cut on itself.

Heres a trick from an old japanese man once told me for live bait. Instead of always swapping and dumping watah from bucket to bucket. U already have 2 buckets, take 1 bucket and drill it with plenty holes. Maybe 3/8... this bucket is for ur bait. Now the other 1 is just for clean watah. The 1 with holes go insai. Now all u gotta do is fill the sleeve bucket to change watah. Wen gotta change, lift da bait bucket, dump and change watah.. Den drop the bait one rt back in... Easy
