Some tuning has been done for Necrotic Wake and City of Threads now! This video was made before these nerfs: www.wowhead.com/blue-tracker/topic/eu/mythic-tuning-now-live-21-sept-538673
I’ve been trying to find videos exactly like this to try and improve my play. I nearly got out damaged by a fellow fury warrior 20 ilvl below me in M0 City of Threads yesterday which was really humbling as a new retail player coming from Classic. First time I was not comfortably top dmg in a M0 so maybe he was just a beast. But this is fantastic for those of us learning M+. Please make one of these for each dungeon!
WTF at 28:42 you can skip the "trial" by being in a leap at the end of the cast?! I never knew that!! Is it the way it works or is there any other kind of voodoo to make it work?
hello :) i got some question about plater addon, where can i check in the settings to show name of the monster inside the nameplate? (mine was under the nameplate) pls help thank you!
Fairly new to retail and I'm having a really hard time finding a guild to raid with. The in-game function seems like shitter haven and there no real server discords like classic any help for a noob trying to raid?
Heyooo Critcake, nice video! I got 2 quick questions: 1 - It seems that you prio BB/BT over CB/RB. Is there a specific reasoning behind this? I know the 4 set afects our core trio abilities but just wondering how you decide on what to prio. Is it aoe prio BB and single target prio RB? 2 - Do you go for any haste soft cap? Seen that you have 20%. Is it because you also raid M and need to balance stats or you playing with what you got? Im assuming it also helps smoothing out the rotation and enrage uptime. Thanks again, giga warrior inspiration.
As someone who plays arms and ret paladin man the ease of use when playing Ret they have like zero CDs to manage they just blast from start to finish! Aoe 3 buttons single target 3 buttons.. positioning doesn’t matter the range on all your skills always lands ! Compared to missing cleaves because its range is so short having to position for cleaves/ sweepings having to know when to use your burst. I parse 99 on queen as arms and average almost 96% parse on all other bosses on raid logs as arms yet when I play my try I’m like why am I playing warrior lol
Its very hard to dps as Arm , always see the placement and look if is possible to dps or cant because you are to close the adds/boss ... i dont know but before Df and tww Arm have à better range for dps ...
The ret rework is really beautiful, glad they didn't mess it up going into TWWI. It's a banger spec with very satisfying rotation, sound, visuals, and CDs.
You will get a timer debuff if you skip the banish. I think its 1 min? Basically you can skip if you have a battle rez or the boss about to die. Otherwise you will die after that timer is up.
@bruceduffy3122 Nope that's correct, you can also put thunderous roar in there too since they all line up and reck + ava are off the gcd. I have my macro this season as; #showtooltip Recklessness /use Recklessness /use Avatar /use Thunderous Roar Add in any racial offensives at the start like blood fury for orc, berserking for troll etc
One thing I would like to say about culling cyclone. You called it a misconception that it "doesnt give anything to aoe" which is very wrong mathematically speaking. If we take what it is saying and apply it to some simple mathematics: If bladestorm deals 1000 damage per tick by dafault, with culling cyclone this would be 1200 damage (20% increase). If there are 4 targets, each would recieve 300 damage (1200 devided by the 4 targets). So as you can see, when they say that the increase is split evenly, it just refers to the behaviour of bladestorm in multitargeted situations. They just add that in the text to explain how the buff works. You're still buffing bladestorm by 20%, they just worded it differently to explain what bladestorm does. to determine the overall performance from aoe situations. Its still a 20% increase. And if its 1000 (default bladestorm in this example) the damage per tick on 4 targets would be 1000/4 = 250. So in this situation you can see that bladestorm deals 50 more damage per tick on 4 targets assuming the overall damage is 1000. TLDR: Bladestorms total damage wont increase in aoe situations as per how bladestorm is coded. It will always split its total damage among all targets. Only reason it would do more damage in singletarget is because all of its damage is spent on one target instead of more targets. So the damage per tick would be higher. Then you add a 20% damage on top of that. Everything about bladestorm gets buffed by 20%. So in reality that talent literally gives bladestorm 20% more damage. So short summary: The talent increases the total damage output of Bladestorm by 20%. Since the increased damage is split evenly among all targets, each target still takes 20% more damage per tick than they would without the talent. My tip to anyone for the future is to do the math to your questions before judging a talent around numbers and just performance in general. You do not know until you do.
No, Culling Cyclone is a single target talent. It splits the single target damage evenly across all targets. 20% against 1 target, or 1% against 20 targets - it's the same number either way. Baseline bladestorm does not work that way - it deals full damage up to 8 targets and then is soft capped above 8. It's very counterintuitive.
@@Critcake Yeah but Culling Syclones increases the total damage output of Bladestorm by 20%. This increase applies to the total damage dealt over the entire duration of Bladestorm, not just per hit. You're almost correct in saying 1% to 20 targets. The number for 20 targetrse is still derived from 20% of total damage. Let’s say Bladestorm has a total damage output of 7000 over 6 seconds. with culling cyclonle it becomes Total Damage with Culling Syclones=7000×1.20=8400. So the total damage of bladestorm will not be different even if you increase target count: Damage per Target= 5/8400 =1680. So total damage per target over 7 seconds would be this number. And this is for 5 target. As you up the target count, you just devide target count with that same number. What this means is that you get an additional 1.4k damage assuming those numbers but that added number would be split evenly. Realistically speaking, you would be doing way more damage with bladestorm on one target, a 20% increase gain from that split evenly across targets would still give you a + 20% increase of the first target as a bonus damage. I wont say its really good, but its not entirely useless either. No matter the target count as long as the damage equates to the original 20% bonus. So its like taking the 20% buff and adding it as a constant to the rest of your targets. But the overall wont be changed. This number is still affected by the 20% buff, it just becomes smaller as you add more targets, especially after the 8 target count where the numbers change slightly. And you're right that 20 targetrs would amount to 1% increase, but its not the same number as the old bladestorm. What you're describing is just a sumation of hits across the interval of 7 seconds (full duration of bladestorm) when targets increase. And every point within those intervals will add up to the total number (increased version). But yeah if you look at it in detail, its true that the number is smaller (DPS vise). But its still a useful talent in aoe, especially if the target count is lower. Because you're still buffing bladestorm by 20% total damage wise. Like sometimes you have less than 20 targets to cleave down. And the opposing talent isnt much better either, because it still requires a bladestorm to give you that bonus. Altho you still have a bladestorm so I can see the appeal. I'm just saying that culling cyclone isnt so bad for aoe as you make it out to be.
Blizzard's designers are incredibly unprofessional. First of all, I doubt they've ever played the games they make. Second, I think they adjust the in-game balance with their own biases; Fury is already a bad experience so far, and they will only make this class worse.
