At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children. The barefoot is part of Angelina's mission to get shoes all kids of this world and she set up a charity for this. When she visited Iran, her grandmothers country of origin, she saw a young girl barefoot begging at the side of the road. Angelina gave the girl her shoes and decided to always perform without shoes. Along with her grandmother, who is a known artist, they wrote and published a book about the incident. It made Angelina the youngest person in Norway to publish a book. The proceedes go to her charity, so far she has collected, along with others, over 21 million Euro's.
I truly enjoy reactions to Angelina from someone who is knowledgeable in the craft. The nuances you pick up on that Angelina puts into her performances that are so subtle on he surface is fun to watch.

This song was written by Sonny Bono, and originally recorded by his wife Cher. It was Nancy Sinatra's cover that really turned the piece into something unforgettable. No small part of why this is remembered as a Nancy Sinatra song is the tremolo guitar arrangement by George Strange that was admirably reproduced here. Yet again as you point out, Angelina has stunning skills as a vocalist, but its her musicality, her interpretive ability, on which she truly soars.

Yes she did turn 8 before this semi-final, the first live-part of the show. This reaction of yours, must be the best analytical reaction to this performance I ever heard and saw. I`ve always been totaly stunned and flabbergasted by young Angelina`s delcate and subtle phrasing and total controll in this song. RUclips’s algorithm remains a mystery! I have seen many reactions to this performance without this issue. Thanks for adding the rumble link :-) Also this shortened reaction is super interesting! What I found fascinating is that as compared to the other performances, is that she uses relatively little vibrato. Already at this age Angelina can turn that off and on as she wishes. Also the interaction with the guitar player was great: she kept a line open with him to keep it in sync. Go ahead and listen to whatever pleases you. Her originals are excellent! Nina, I was so happy to see you recently doing Angelina reactions. We go way back to when you discovered Dimash. Nina, in my most friendliest way I want to tell you what I think about her phrasing and choices she makes during her video's. She is aware of every note she sings. She is a great storyteller and she will find a way to tell us the story of the song which, often times, is better than the original version. I know it's hard to grasp what is going on with her because of how young she is but her artistry is on display with every performance.

Idk which ones you’ve done already, but her concert from last summer has the most stirring rendition of her brilliant and emotional song “Million Miles” written following her grandfather’s death. Angelina is such a prodigy it will NOT hurt your journey with her to jump around chronologically. She was so prolific from seven to seventeen that you'll not miss anything going back and forth in time. I've been an everyday Angelina listener for over two years now and I go back to the early years often to see and hear the genius at work. You owe it to your curiosity to hear her now, she will blow you away. Try My Funny Valentine at age sixteen or her live performance of her original song Million Miles this past summer in Norway. I’ve always loved this song, and Angelina does it justice. This is a preview of many of Angelina’s future performances. In her first two NGT songs, she was channeling Billie Holiday. Here, she’s channeling nobody. It’s her arrangement, and we for the first time we hear Angelina take a classic song we thought had been done to perfection-and she gives us her own take that respects the original, but shows us a new way to love the song. And we also preview (at 8 years old) her phenomenal control of that low register, as well as an ability to handle melancholy themes so intimately, but with such powerful effect on the listener. You’ll see, as you watch her later songs, that Adele’s songwriting is right in the center of Angelina’s wheelhouse. She has covered many of Adele’s beautiful compositions, and she just kills them. Her ability to handle melancholy lyrics, as we saw today, is so believable. And as much as I like Adele, she does not have Angelina’s vocal tools. I don’t know of any singer that does. Try Angelina’s acoustic cover, at 12, of A Million Years Ago. It’s staggering. Or her cover last year of Easy on Me will show you an amazing display of vocal tools and textures that make you shake you head as you listen.
You keep posting all night about Angelina Jordan, what she is and what she stands for number one her heart is open to love and understand what she’s doing. She knows exactly how she wants things done everything she does is intentional. I can’t talk enough about it I’ve been watching just one and a half years of age I’m getting to be an old man now and I still want you to be happy in my life world. She is inspiration to the whole world. She said she’s going to saying, bring love and joy to the world at age of six.

I saw in other comments, a terrific recommendation of "I Put A Spell on You" arranged by Angelina at 9 years old where she decides to stick fairly closely to the original by Screamin Jay Hawkins from 1956. We all know that as we have listened to many child singers over the years. Perhaps, though, she can do so because she isn't a "child" singer in the normal sense. I've never understood why some reactors get caught up in these copywrite issues, having to truncate half the video, or having to make the video part almost unviewable. There must be triggers that cause these RUclips actions, but what are they? I love these four singing sessions of Angelina during NGT and am sure I have seen them all over 100 times or more. But always, I want to see the entire performance, to see her as well as hear her, and fall in love all over again with this remarkable person as she earns her wings. I wish I could advise you on how to get past those triggers. Regardless, please continue on your journey of these early Angelina treasures. She will always reward you.
Imo, she’s greatest phraseologist since Tony Bennett. I speculate that the change in tonality on that one phrase was due in part to uncertainty about the lyrics and a rush to get through them, or a deliberate change in the lyrics (from “didn’t take the time to lie” to “didn’t take the life? to chime?”) that was slightly awkward. Idk, whatever the reason, she sounded great and the little change highlighted her innocence despite the depth of emotion in this metaphor for rejection
Another fantastic reaction and analysis, Nina. I would say that you should finish your look at her NGT experience first ... and then branch out to whatever interests you. There were some great performances by her not long after NGT. I would say that her 8 year old performance of "What A Difference A Day Makes" after her NGT win and her 9 year old performance of "I Put A Spell On You" should definitely be viewed by you at some point. I realize that it must be difficult for a coach to react and analyze talents like Angelina because you get to the point of not knowing what you can say that you haven't already said. For whatever reason people are having big problems with this exact performance for copyright, which is weird. She never protected her videos too much that we can tell. Only her republic records videos ever have issues. Until this one. So I doubt it is TV2, I doubt it is Angelina, I doubt it is NGT. That only leaves the couple more popular versions out there, and their channel getting petty about something that was never theirs anyway.

The first TV performance after NGT was "What a difference a day makes" from "Allsang på grensen" (a sing along event). You need to do that. But basically, you need to hurry up because there are so many fantastic videoes to react to. You might consider combining two shorter videos in to one reaction. Some reactors viewed all 4 NGT performances at once, but I am glad you didn't do that. Including the pre and post performance interviews, judges comments, etc. (with closed captioning) is worthwhile in my opinion. I know generally extended videos may not keep the attention of the younger population, but the majority of "Angels" are of an age that would not miss a minute no matter how long your reaction is.

Problem would seems to be, you are too popular. A vast majority of reactors on YT appear to have no problem playing Angelina's music with no issues. This Freemantle controlled content and newer stuff since she signed with Republic, should be exceptions. But with almost 200K subs, somebody's got an evil eye on you. Sad, too, because you have really delightful personality and we thoroughly enjoy your reactions.
The copyright issues on this one are particularly galling (I think I know what you are alluding to). Anyway… Why would you listen to any of her originals without doing reactions to them? That's just mean.🙃
And no, be a fan as much as you want. Are you going to do 200 reactions? No. Just be honest when it is not your first take is all, or try to find the occasional one that seems less requested or whatever. Even stop reacting to her to immerse yourself in her music freely. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children.
The barefoot is part of Angelina's mission to get shoes all kids of this world and she set up a charity for this. When she visited Iran, her grandmothers country of origin, she saw a young girl barefoot begging at the side of the road. Angelina gave the girl her shoes and decided to always perform without shoes. Along with her grandmother, who is a known artist, they wrote and published a book about the incident. It made Angelina the youngest person in Norway to publish a book. The proceedes go to her charity, so far she has collected, along with others, over 21 million Euro's.

This song was written by Sonny Bono, and originally recorded by his wife Cher. It was Nancy Sinatra's cover that really turned the piece into something unforgettable. No small part of why this is remembered as a Nancy Sinatra song is the tremolo guitar arrangement by George Strange that was admirably reproduced here. Yet again as you point out, Angelina has stunning skills as a vocalist, but its her musicality, her interpretive ability, on which she truly soars.
It's a bit of a dream course in how to grow with your talent. Not only for the artist but for the support around her. I wonder if her mom and grandma will publish a book.

Yes she did turn 8 before this semi-final, the first live-part of the show. This reaction of yours, must be the best analytical reaction to this performance I ever heard and saw. I`ve always been totaly stunned and flabbergasted by young Angelina`s delcate and subtle phrasing and total controll in this song. What I found fascinating is that as compared to the other performances, is that she uses relatively little vibrato. Already at this age Angelina can turn that off and on as she wishes. Also the interaction with the guitar player was great: she kept a line open with him to keep it in sync.

Nina, I was so happy to see you recently doing Angelina reactions. We go way back to when you discovered Dimash. Nina, in my most friendliest way I want to tell you what I think about her phrasing and choices she makes during her video's. She is aware of every note she sings. She is a great storyteller and she will find a way to tell us the story of the song which, often times, is better than the original version. I know it's hard to grasp what is going on with her because of how young she is but her artistry is on display with every performance.

I've been an everyday Angelina listener for over two years now and I go back to the early years often to see and hear the genius at work. I’ve always loved this song, and Angelina does it justice. This is a preview of many of Angelina’s future performances. In her first two NGT songs, she was channeling Billie Holiday. Here, she’s channeling nobody. It’s her arrangement, and we for the first time we hear Angelina take a classic song we thought had been done to perfection-and she gives us her own take that respects the original, but shows us a new way to love the song. And we also preview (at 8 years old) her phenomenal control of that low register, as well as an ability to handle melancholy themes so intimately, but with such powerful effect on the listener.
You’ll see, as you watch her later songs, that Adele’s songwriting is right in the center of Angelina’s wheelhouse. She has covered many of Adele’s beautiful compositions, and she just kills them. Her ability to handle melancholy lyrics, as we saw today, is so believable. And as much as I like Adele, she does not have Angelina’s vocal tools. I don’t know of any singer that does. Try Angelina’s acoustic cover, at 12, of A Million Years Ago. It’s staggering. Or her cover last year of Easy on Me will show you an amazing display of vocal tools and textures that make you shake you head as you listen.
You keep posting all night about Angelina Jordan, what she is and what she stands for number one her heart is open to love and understand what she’s doing. She knows exactly how she wants things done everything she does is intentional.
I can’t talk enough about it I’ve been watching just one and a half years of age I’m getting to be an old man now and I still want you to be happy in my life world. She is inspiration to the whole world. She said she’s going to saying, bring love and joy to the world at age of six.

We all know that as we have listened to many child singers over the years. Perhaps, though, she can do so because she isn't a "child" singer in the normal sense. I've never understood why some reactors get caught up in these copywrite issues, having to truncate half the video, or having to make the video part almost unviewable. There must be triggers that cause these RUclips actions, but what are they? I love these four singing sessions of Angelina during NGT and am sure I have seen them all over 100 times or more. But always, I want to see the entire performance, to see her as well as hear her, and fall in love all over again with this remarkable person as she earns her wings. I wish I could advise you on how to get past those triggers. Regardless, please continue on your journey of these early Angelina treasures. She will always reward you.

Imo, she’s greatest phraseologist since Tony Bennett. I speculate that the change in tonality on that one phrase was due in part to uncertainty about the lyrics and a rush to get through them, or a deliberate change in the lyrics (from “didn’t take the time to lie” to “didn’t take the life? to chime?”) that was slightly awkward. Idk, whatever the reason, she sounded great and the little change highlighted her innocence despite the depth of emotion in this metaphor for rejection

Another fantastic reaction and analysis, Nina. I would say that you should finish your look at her NGT experience first ... and then branch out to whatever interests you. There were some great performances by her not long after NGT. I would say that her 8 year old performance of "What A Difference A Day Makes" after her NGT win and her 9 year old performance of "I Put A Spell On You" should definitely be viewed by you at some point. I realize that it must be difficult for a coach to react and analyze talents like Angelina because you get to the point of not knowing what you can say that you haven't already said. Thank you for satisfying the Virgo in me with detail and by always trying to be the best you can be.

you should take a bit of a break from 7yo to current summer concert in norway. Million Miles....and it's her original. So many more, but that's probably her best to date.
For whatever reason people are having big problems with this exact performance for copyright, which is weird. She never protected her videos too much that we can tell. Only her republic records videos ever have issues. Until this one. So I doubt it is TV2, I doubt it is Angelina, I doubt it is NGT. That only leaves the couple more popular versions out there, and their channel getting petty about something that was never theirs anyway.

You might consider combining two shorter videos in to one reaction. Some reactors viewed all 4 NGT performances at once, but I am glad you didn't do that. Including the pre and post performance interviews, judges comments, etc. (with closed captioning) is worthwhile in my opinion. I know generally extended videos may not keep the attention of the younger population, but the majority of "Angels" are of an age that would not miss a minute no matter how long your reaction is.

Problem would seems to be, you are too popular. A vast majority of reactors on YT appear to have no problem playing Angelina's music with no issues. This Freemantle controlled content and newer stuff since she signed with Republic, should be exceptions. But with almost 200K subs, somebody's got an evil eye on you.
