I think that you should treat yourself to her latest original. It’s been out a little over two weeks. It’s called “Love Don’t Let Me Go “. Please check it out when you can. I would love to see your reaction to that one.
What a nice reaction. I would like to suggest: "It is a man's World", Angelina performed in the open with the Staff Brassband from the Norwegian Army when she was 12... To me it is one of her very best performances (although all her performances are impressive, to say the least). When you add the search with "adhanced version" you will get a video with better sound quality and subtitles. On that performance professional recording was not allowed.

Another classic performance, age 12 I believe: I'd Rather Go Blind. no big band, just her sitting mild-mannered on a sofa, with a backing track. Then she brings out the bazooka 🙂

Hi Nina! Another great reaction and analysis to another great Angelina performance (well, they are all great, we all know that by now), with so many more to come, yay. Doing it chronologically requires a lot of discipline for sure, but has the advantage of seeing Angelina’s development and builds up the tension quite nicely. And boy does she ‚develop and advance‘ right now with Republic Records :) Let’s hope she‘ll become the superstar she was born to be.
Most fans & vocal coaches believe that her voice was that of a fully grown vocalist buy this age (10), but in the 7 years since it has continued to be more refined, powerful & controlled & that will probably continue into her mid to late 20's, which is hard to comprehend. This is my favorite version of this song by anyone, male or female of any age.
Angelina lost indeed somewhere along being ten the last traces about being a child in her voice. Definitely I'm Still Holding Out For You. Stay chronological. She has at least one incredible performance every year. At eleven she did an outdoor concert in Norway. Truly incredible. At twelve it is hands down Its a man's world. Etc.
10 was a banner year for her. Really started being her own way and less mimicking. Wait til you hear the very modern Im Still Holding Out for You, or the Ella standard , Every time We Say Goodbye, rooftop version where she stands right next to Ella and does her proud.

You should really do "I'm holding out for you" next. This was a song she and her Family decided to never sing again, due to its references to suicide. But her vocals in this song are stunning and I believe she is either 10 or 11 in that video as well. Its mind blowing. (not that that should come as a surprise...lol) I feel like that is one of her best performances I've heard to date.
Great reaction and observations Nina. Angelina by this age of 10 has left her child voice behind and is gaining maturity in all aspects of her performing. This was the song that first introduced me to A.J. and I was blown away by the power and control that she was showcasing, it really shook me. Even at this ridiculous young age Angelina.s performance is full of subtle nuances and showed that she really knew exactly how she wanted this to go down. After watching it 3 times I was hooked and now I need my fix of A.J. in the morning with my coffee or the day just is not starting out in the proper way lol. Thx again NIna.
She has some short vocals that she publishes where she is singing in an underground car park into her phone in LA. They’re all cappella and only the echo of the car park. I think she is the absolute most talented singer I’ve seen or heard in my time on earth, since the late 50s. Better then the King (Elvis)

Enjoyed your reaction and analysis, this time you heard her more consistent voice with more fold closure. Angelina seems to be able to completely change her sound depending on the song. This is such an amazing performance for any age let alone a 10-year old. The big blast at the end is incredible, but all along the way beautiful things happen in a wonderful build up in intensity and dynamics. Angelina seemed to be very pleased with it judging by her smile and giggle at the end. She stands there with a big band on stage singing live for an audience in lights and camera’s on her and she owns the stage and performance.
It's at age 10 that she really finds herself and gets into her stride. There's a confidence that (at least in retrospect) was not quite there before. From now on, her age is irrelevant. We are in the hands of a master.

The Norwegian barefoot princess now living in LA is the best young female vocalist we have today - Now 17 years old. Angelina sings better than already established world stars. No one can stop Angelina from becoming a world star. That's just how it is! Her first singel will be released 5th Mai 2023, and her album will be released later in 2023 with Republic Records. Over the years, she will become a legend for the great moments in the world. She has plenty of time. Remember she is just 17 years old today, which we forget when we see her perform. Republic Records who should also be praised for appreciating this unique talent.
We have been told she has an EP coming out in June. All originals. Whether or not this will be part of a later released album in the fall nobody knows.
She sang a Disco song at age 10 also "I WILL SURVIVE" ,,, another unbelievable one to hear is her (leaked) version of "IM STILL HOLDING OUT FOR YOU" ,,,, and both of her Allen Walker back home concert Where AJ was asked to open his concert with "SING ME TO SLEEP" AND "FADED" (they were sung back to back except Allen spoke to crowd in between so don't turn it off after the first one) all these were when AJ was 10 years old
Hi Nina, Great reaction as always. Since she is 10 here, she also did a (Baby Fuzz cover called I've been Holding Out For You) at the same age. You have to listen to this because this shows the beginning of her maturity. I think this must have been done well before 'The Feeling Good" performance where she sounds even more mature. When Angelina was 7 years old she sang the Billie Holiday cover 'I'm a Fool to Want You' on Norway's Got Talent in which you did a reaction to. She did the same cover at age 11 at a recording session with her grandmother. You have to hear this because her voice had so matured that you would think Angelina had become Billie Holiday. Angelina did an Elvis cover 'How Great Thou Art'. This might not be my favorite but since you're a vocal coach I would like your analysis of how a 12 year old girl can sing in the same key as Elvis.

I'm a jazz lover so i"m a bit bias but from this period of career, her In-studio rehearsal of "I'm a fool to want you" is simply amazing. also her performance with the KORK orchestra of "Summertime" is really beautiful.
Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. In my opinion, she is the best singer in the world, and there are thousands of others who would agree with me. Every moment you spend featuring her on your channel will being you great emotional satisfaction. There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed. (1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice. (2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move. (3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus. (4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance. (5) That wonderful crescendo at the end. (6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance (7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand. (8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 5.03 in your reaction video. (9) The sideways look and grin she gives to her instrumentalists just after she curtsies to the audience -- as if to say, "Yeah, we killed it, guys! Now let's go get some ice cream!" (10) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child who,curseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause. Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. They just cannot be compared, for Angelina's arrangement is totally different
Hello Nina 👋 Fantastic reaction to our super impressive , Angelina Jordan . 😊 Now, my suggestion is that you allow yourself to hear couple more songs in this age group 10 _12 yrs old ,as believe it or not , you will note the extensive growth in her musical capabilities, growth in her physical stature and it is during this stage that her body of works became more prolific. Look out for fan favourites such as "Holding out for You " , "Its a Man's World " , " A Million Years Ago " "Stay" , " Young and Beautiful" and my absolute favourite, " I'd Rather Go Blind ". There are many many more that her fans ( Angels) will recommend to you at this age group ; and they are all equally enjoyable to listen and with your technical ear, I look forward to your assessment . Thank you Nina for reacting and commenting on Angelina's rendition of Feeling Good at just 10 years of age !I think she was magnificent in her performance and was really focused on her vocal delivery totally as you can see her managing herself throughout the song ! I like that she manages a smile when she has the camera blasted in her face and I'm sure that would scare the crap out of most people ! Loved her back to being a child curtsey at the end of her performance ! Her voice is absolutely brilliant but I'm more impressed with her stage presence and how she navigated with a live TV audience , the lighting , the cameras and a live band so naturally and fearlessly it's uncanny ! I know singing with a live band is a most daunting task and requires great intuition and especially timing ! The final minute of this song gave me goosebumps as I didn't know if she could rise , deliver and finish a most difficult section of the song ! She's such a little BOSS on stage here. She could have been buried by that big arrangement or just barely hanging on but instead she's somehow out front of the band and seemingly pulling the music forward. What a big time performance and what a little dynamo Angelina is.

Nina, AJs range and depth of voice at this age made me thrill to listen to it. Here at 10 she recorded a cover called "Holding Out For You" that was made as a demo tape. It was not meant for release but was so good that it found its way online anyway. This would be my top suggestion for AJ at this age of 10... it is a radio ready masterpiece. Just a year later at 11 her lower register dramatically started opening up and she started recording songs that Elvis had sung but in the key that Elvis sang in! She also recorded some Lana Del Rey songs exhibiting low register legato lines that displayed AJs growing breath control. For her 11 year old stage presence growth I would recommend covering AJ doing "Loving You" live in an outside venue. (make sure it is the one outside and "enhanced" as there is another inside recording of lesser sound quality).
There are many recordings of Angelina doing that song, there is a recording of her on piano trying to figure out how to sing it; then several rehearsal and live versions where you can see how she was improving that performance. Her voice isn't changing, she changes her voice delebrately on every song, every song, to fit a style as he wants it to be. Other than her first time in the studio at 6 years old, and I not sure if she didn't already know how to manipulate her voice at 6, every song she sings is completely unique. Just one of the three attributes Angelina Jordan showcases.

Earlier in that year, she performed at a festival, bright daylight where she could see every distraction from the audience, and her jumping eyes gave her a weaker start - there were sooo many distracting signs, fans, etc. But, in the second half, there's something powerfully good that audiences can 'give back' - enthusiasm. An emotional tsunami that is seen and felt - and her climax at this same song is so more powerful. Compare the two... she's got two versions of SUMMERTIME (you've seen the karaoke version; there's a lunch festival version that is slower paced and all the more mesmerizing with a live orchestra)... compare those two as well.

Angelina was introduced to the song by dj Avicii when Angelina was 9 years old. Angelina did sing with him in a Volvo commercial. Angelina's full version here is based on Avicii's version but added Nina Simone horns and her own special ending.
I am very partial, but think she sang this spectacularly. Angelina is beautiful, in voice, in soul, and in person. Oh, I think you're rather special too. Please continue on your journey with Angelina. There is a lot of wonder and beauty in her early years that I would love to review with your oversight.

Brandon tried to get artists, including Angelina, to produce a demo for established artist(s) to release. Due to little interest Brandon decided to release the song himself in December 2018. Angelina's LEAKED video was released to RUclips by unknown 3rd party(s) in November 2018. The video is a B&W slideshow of public property snapshots. IMHO This Jazz, Soul, R&B recording is a masterpiece that should have been a #1 hit. Close your eyes and put yourself in a jazz club listening to a (?) year old Diva.
First, I love your reactions. But, having said that, I recommend reactors ignore Angelina's age. It can diminish her artistry to qualify comments with age references. Instead just treat her as the world-class artist she is. For example: how old was Nina Simone when she recorded this for her album "I Put a Spell on You"? (I believe she was 32, but who cares?) I'd evaluate this performance straight-up against anyone else's, including Nina's, because it compares well. I'd say the same about Angelina's "I Put a Spell on You" (at 9) compared to Nina's from the same 1965 album. I find I often prefer Angelina's interpretation of a song to others' -- at any age. So sure, this was awesome "for a 10-year-old," but I'd argue it's a great performance for any artist, at any age. This frees us to spend time on topics like different vocal qualities & techniques, arrangements, emotional content, storytelling, etc.

I would like you to react to 'Lovin you' (aka I want to make love to you). Choose the version from 'Prøysen festivalen' (from the farmland where the Norwegian singer-songwriter Alf Prøysen was born). That is 6 months later than this performance and it is even hotter than this one.
I am sure you noticed Nina, how nervous and jerky she was lol. It's like she is waiting for a bus, no nerves what so ever. But although you would never hear her say it, she knows how she is going to perform this, what inflections and tone changes to make, and how to thoroughly entertain. What is there to be nervous about. She has mentioned in interviews that she never gets nervous on stage, and this is why. BORN MUSICAL GENIUS!!
Nina Simone's version of this classic is considered by most to be 'The Gold Standard'. To me, Angelina, here at 10 has produced 'The Platinum Standard' fir the song. Have never heard a better rendition than this, which includes her vocals, her arrangement, and control over what the orchestra instruments will be complimenting her with. The great orchestra KORK from Norway refer's to Angelina as 'The Boss' whenever she was involved in using their orchestra, beginning at 9 years of age.

That's up to you. The videos don't build on each other, so the order doesn't really matter. And each performance is different anyway.

To me it is one of her very best performances (although all her performances are impressive, to say the least). When you add the search with "adhanced version" you will get a video with better sound quality and subtitles. On that performance professional recording was not allowed.

Hi Nina! Another great reaction and analysis to another great Angelina performance (well, they are all great, we all know that by now), with so many more to come, yay. Doing it chronologically requires a lot of discipline for sure, but has the advantage of seeing Angelina’s development and builds up the tension quite nicely. And boy does she ‚develop and advance‘ right now with Republic Records :) Let’s hope she‘ll become the superstar she was born to be.
Most fans & vocal coaches believe that her voice was that of a fully grown vocalist buy this age (10), but in the 7 years since it has continued to be more refined, powerful & controlled & that will probably continue into her mid to late 20's, which is hard to comprehend. This is my favorite version of this song by anyone, male or female of any age.

You should really do "I'm holding out for you" next. This was a song she and her Family decided to never sing again, due to its references to suicide. But her vocals in this song are stunning and I believe she is either 10 or 11 in that video as well. Its mind blowing. (not that that should come as a surprise...lol) I feel like that is one of her best performances I've heard to date.
Great reaction and observations Nina. Angelina by this age of 10 has left her child voice behind and is gaining maturity in all aspects of her performing. This was the song that first introduced me to A.J. and I was blown away by the power and control that she was showcasing, it really shook me. Even at this ridiculous young age Angelina.s performance is full of subtle nuances and showed that she really knew exactly how she wanted this to go down. She has some short vocals that she publishes where she is singing in an underground car park into her phone in LA. They’re all cappella and only the echo of the car park. I think she is the absolute most talented singer I’ve seen or heard in my time on earth, since the late 50s. Better then the King (Elvis)

This is such an amazing performance for any age let alone a 10-year old. The big blast at the end is incredible, but all along the way beautiful things happen in a wonderful build up in intensity and dynamics. Angelina seemed to be very pleased with it judging by her smile and giggle at the end. She stands there with a big band on stage singing live for an audience in lights and camera’s on her and she owns the stage and performance.
It's at age 10 that she really finds herself and gets into her stride. There's a confidence that (at least in retrospect) was not quite there before. From now on, her age is irrelevant. We are in the hands of a master.

The Norwegian barefoot princess now living in LA is the best young female vocalist we have today - Now 17 years old. Angelina sings better than already established world stars. No one can stop Angelina from becoming a world star. That's just how it is! Her first singel will be released 5th Mai 2023, and her album will be released later in 2023 with Republic Records.
Over the years, she will become a legend for the great moments in the world. She has plenty of time. Remember she is just 17 years old today, which we forget when we see her perform. Republic Records who should also be praised for appreciating this unique talent.
We have been told she has an EP coming out in June. All originals. Whether or not this will be part of a later released album in the fall nobody knows.
She sang a Disco song at age 10 also "I WILL SURVIVE" ,,, another unbelievable one to hear is her (leaked) version of "IM STILL HOLDING OUT FOR YOU" ,,,, and both of her Allen Walker back home concert Where AJ was asked to open his concert with "SING ME TO SLEEP" AND "FADED" (they were sung back to back except Allen spoke to crowd in between so don't turn it off after the first one) all these were when AJ was 10 years old

Since she is 10 here, she also did a (Baby Fuzz cover called I've been Holding Out For You) at the same age. You have to listen to this because this shows the beginning of her maturity. I think this must have been done well before 'The Feeling Good" performance where she sounds even more mature.
When Angelina was 7 years old she sang the Billie Holiday cover 'I'm a Fool to Want You' on Norway's Got Talent in which you did a reaction to. She did the same cover at age 11 at a recording session with her grandmother. You have to hear this because her voice had so matured that you would think Angelina had become Billie Holiday.
Angelina did an Elvis cover 'How Great Thou Art'. This might not be my favorite but since you're a vocal coach I would like your analysis of how a 12 year old girl can sing in the same key as Elvis.

Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. In my opinion, she is the best singer in the world, and there are thousands of others who would agree with me. Every moment you spend featuring her on your channel will being you great emotional satisfaction.
There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed.
(1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice.
(2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move.
(3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus.
(4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance.
(5) That wonderful crescendo at the end.
(6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance
(7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand.
(8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 5.03 in your reaction video.
(9) The sideways look and grin she gives to her instrumentalists just after she curtsies to the audience -- as if to say, "Yeah, we killed it, guys! Now let's go get some ice cream!"
(10) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child who,curseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause.
Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. They just cannot be compared, for Angelina's arrangement is totally different

Look out for fan favourites such as "Holding out for You " , "Its a Man's World " , " A Million Years Ago " "Stay" , " Young and Beautiful" and my absolute favourite, " I'd Rather Go Blind ". There are many many more that her fans ( Angels) will recommend to you at this age group ; and they are all equally enjoyable to listen and with your technical ear, I look forward to your assessment . I like that she manages a smile when she has the camera blasted in her face and I'm sure that would scare the crap out of most people ! Loved her back to being a child curtsey at the end of her performance ! Her voice is absolutely brilliant but I'm more impressed with her stage presence and how she navigated with a live TV audience , the lighting , the cameras and a live band so naturally and fearlessly it's uncanny ! Nina, AJs range and depth of voice at this age made me thrill to listen to it. Here at 10 she recorded a cover called "Holding Out For You" that was made as a demo tape. It was not meant for release but was so good that it found its way online anyway. This would be my top suggestion for AJ at this age of 10... it is a radio ready masterpiece.
Just a year later at 11 her lower register dramatically started opening up and she started recording songs that Elvis had sung but in the key that Elvis sang in! She also recorded some Lana Del Rey songs exhibiting low register legato lines that displayed AJs growing breath control.
For her 11 year old stage presence growth I would recommend covering AJ doing "Loving You" live in an outside venue. (make sure it is the one outside and "enhanced" as there is another inside recording of lesser sound quality).
There are many recordings of Angelina doing that song, there is a recording of her on piano trying to figure out how to sing it; then several rehearsal and live versions where you can see how she was improving that performance.

Her voice isn't changing, she changes her voice delebrately on every song, every song, to fit a style as he wants it to be. Other than her first time in the studio at 6 years old, and I not sure if she didn't already know how to manipulate her voice at 6, every song she sings is completely unique. Just one of the three attributes Angelina Jordan showcases.

Earlier in that year, she performed at a festival, bright daylight where she could see every distraction from the audience, and her jumping eyes gave her a weaker start - there were sooo many distracting signs, fans, etc. But, in the second half, there's something powerfully good that audiences can 'give back' - enthusiasm. An emotional tsunami that is seen and felt - and her climax at this same song is so more powerful. Compare the two... she's got two versions of SUMMERTIME (you've seen the karaoke version; there's a lunch festival version that is slower paced and all the more mesmerizing with a live orchestra)... compare those two as well.

Angelina was introduced to the song by dj Avicii when Angelina was 9 years old. Angelina did sing with him in a Volvo commercial. Angelina's full version here is based on Avicii's version but added Nina Simone horns and her own special ending.
I am very partial, but think she sang this spectacularly. Angelina is beautiful, in voice, in soul, and in person. Oh, I think you're rather special too. First, I love your reactions. But, having said that, I recommend reactors ignore Angelina's age. It can diminish her artistry to qualify comments with age references. Instead just treat her as the world-class artist she is. For example: how old was Nina Simone when she recorded this for her album "I Put a Spell on You"? (I believe she was 32, but who cares?) I'd evaluate this performance straight-up against anyone else's, including Nina's, because it compares well. I'd say the same about Angelina's "I Put a Spell on You" (at 9) compared to Nina's from the same 1965 album. I find I often prefer Angelina's interpretation of a song to others' -- at any age. So sure, this was awesome "for a 10-year-old," but I'd argue it's a great performance for any artist, at any age. This frees us to spend time on topics like different vocal qualities & techniques, arrangements, emotional content, storytelling, etc.

I would like you to react to 'Lovin you' (aka I want to make love to you). Choose the version from 'Prøysen festivalen' (from the farmland where the Norwegian singer-songwriter Alf Prøysen was born). That is 6 months later than this performance and it is even hotter than this one.

great orchestra KORK from Norway refer's to Angelina as 'The Boss' whenever she
was involved in using their orchestra, beginning at 9 years of age.
