Usually, when a song makes someone cry, it's only the first few times and then they begin to desensitize the more they listen to it. But this. This cover is one of those things I can listen to hundreds of times and it still hits me just as hard as it did the first time I heard it. The funny part is, while Nyxi's vocals are amazing and angelic and her performance hits me hard here, the part that really gets me in the feels the hardest is the slow fade out at the end, when all that's left is the piano playing the main melody. The way the melody is played during the fade out is just heartwrenching. Absolutely beautiful job, guys.
@@ThomasDiognardi I'm a musician too so I learn to appreciate the smaller details (although I'm more of a guitarist/vocalist than a pianist). If you ever plan on doing a Simple and Clean cover with a male vocalist and I have good enough recording gear by then, hmu.
This is better than the original version, both the vocals and and the instruments. Also, I'm really glad you chose not to add that weird processing on the word "this" at 1:53. It really struck out to me the very first time I listened to Utada's version in 2018, has something weird and it didn't sound good at all.
That voice, so heavenly. Perfectly sung, conveying so much emotion. This arrangement and the vocals complement each other so well. I know what I’m listening to on repeat from now on. ❤️👑🗝

I HATE that I cry on the inside literally everytime I hear this song. Even though I knew damn well no dies in KH, that ending with this song hit me surprisingly hard.
About a month ago my girlfriend of almost 5 years and I decided to take a break in our relationship. We both were in very rough spots mentally and we agreed that some space was needed to figure things out. It didn’t take too long for me to realize that I’m still in love with her and that much i miss her in my life. Now I’m sure that I want us back together. We’ve been talking and we plan on seeing each other at the beginning of November, but nothing is certain of what will become of our relationship. I just want us both to be happy. This song and specifically this cover is pretty much the exact emotion I’m feeling. Just beautiful work.
