Caleb Meyer just listen very VERY closely at some instrumentals on youtube. If you listen very closely to every element (especially drums and background sounds) you can easily distinguish the real ones from the good remakes or just try to extract the vocals with whatever software you want to do it with. Some producers like mike will made-it sometimes drop their instrumentals on soundcloud. Some older songs have instrumentals bundled with the original song and sometimes even the acapella on spotify. And if you can't find it there you can try looking on gotinstrumentals.com or on reddit. If that doesn't work there are ways to request a remix so you'll get the instrumental and acapella by the record label themselves.

The use of human voice as an instrument is becoming more popular and respected in music. Before it was seen as shameful to use auto tune, just look at the initial reception to 808s and Heartbreaks. The fact that a video like this can have positive reception just shows the shift in people’s ideas behind auto tune use. Just an observation
Michael Michael exactly, and people always bring up “808 and heartbreaks”, but T pain’s “rappa turnt sanga” influenced Kanye to make 808’s and heartbreaks
Michael Michael I’m not saying Travis or Kanye started the wave , im saying that artists like T Pain weren’t getting the proper recognition or respect they deserved for the genius behind their music.

How the hell did you do this. It literally sounds clean as fuck as it was literally just the vocal tracks of the song raw.
you can even do it with audacity (free)
how or where do you get instrumentals that are exact?
Caleb Meyer just listen very VERY closely at some instrumentals on youtube. If you listen very closely to every element (especially drums and background sounds) you can easily distinguish the real ones from the good remakes or just try to extract the vocals with whatever software you want to do it with. If that doesn't work there are ways to request a remix so you'll get the instrumental and acapella by the record label themselves.
People who have licenses and permission to sample songs leak the instrumentals and vocals because the record labels hand over the full studio files.
