This is the Bofa budget setup for Inferno. This is the lowest gear I'd recommend, although it's certainly possible to do Inferno with much more budget setups.

Amethyst darts or Dragon darts recommended.
95 range, 95 mage, 80 defence, 92 prayer recommended, higher is better.
Some downgrades:
Zaryte vambraces to Barrows gloves
Virtus Top to Ahrims top or Mystic top (Ancestral is fine ofc)
Kodai to Ancient staff or Ancient sceptre
Ring of the gods (i) to Ring of suffering (i)
5 brews as a minimum is good if you want more slots for restores or other things, adding up to 3 for a total of 8 maximum is what I recommend.
Magic legs are NOT considered valuable in any way.
Ring of the Gods (i) in combination with Devout Boots give essentially infinite prayer with minimal flicking, negating the use for any Lightbearer or Eldritch, which I consider to be heavy noob traps that only detriment first-capers. Crystal armor in general has amazing prayer bonus and range defence.
These runs have a focus on good solves, melee dig preparation, and simple prayer flicking solutions.
The plugin to hide dead NPC's and prevent misclicks is "Entity Hider", mark "Hide Dead NPC's" in the Plugin. There are not many other useful plugins for Inferno, Tile Markers can be good, but don't overuse them!
Many players have had great success in the following days trying to imitate this style and while there will always be a learning curve to the content, putting some time in to learn the likes of 1 tick alternation at the very least will add a powerful tool to help you on your road to first cape.

Just want to say this series is the best inferno guide out there. After 8 attempts my PB was 38 and I’ve now done 20 attempts with my last 4 being in the early 60s can feel myself getting to jads soon and hopefully can get my first cape. Cheers mate.

thanks for doing these videos, i was stuck at around wave 57-58, and after watching a couple of your videos I improved rapidly, got my cape in about a dozen attempts after. Your explanations and breakdowns of waves is top notch imo.

Got my cape yesterday on attempt 49, after about 3 weeks of trying. Had to come back to say thanks so much for these videos, couldnt have done it without this series. I'm no longer a max cheese caper!! 😂
A guildmate convinced me to switch the setup a bit to bring justi and dinhs, which was handy when I was learning waves. But once I got good at waves it ended up being more of a hindrance because I never used it and it meant I'd bring in fewer restores. So I did it with less supplies than I probably should have had, but in a way that really made me get good at flicking blobs and other mobs so I could conserve prayer. Cheers again
Something worth mentioning is giving the 1 and 2 jad challenges a go. I tried to go straight for jad and triple jads, let me tell you it sucks to spend so long doing waves to just die at jads so fast due to inexperience. After a few deaths I sunk the time to get used to jads outside of the inferno, and I never died at jads again.
Thx for ur videos, helped me a lot through the inferno, around 10 attempts in total, 2 attempts at zuk and the cape is now mine. Did inferno around 2 years ago on max acc with tbow but this helped me refresh my memory and get back in the groove. Proud iron owner of an infernal without rigour

I know you are more experienced and better than me at inferno, bur I like lightbearer + eldritch alot. I’ve come to zuk with both kodai+rotg and eldritch+lightb and the latter was so smoother. Thanks for the vids. I also bring full justi and eldinis f because at higher waves 55+ i cant setup the npc’s.

Aaty my brother I’ve been commenting on your vids a lot lately on the inferno grind. My first Zuk I only got there with 1 brew and 1 1/2 restores, so made it to Jad and died. Today I got to Zuk for the second time, and made it to healers, beat the healers, then got a 3rd set while Zuk was on about 310hp, and my first two sets I got insanely unlucky and took over 110 damage EACH SET from the ranger, and couldn’t kill him my first rotation over by him either. I brought 4 1/2 brews and 5 restores into Zuk, and would’ve been totally fine if it wasn’t for the ranger smacking the hell out of me every set. Had no trouble with any of the fight except for the damage I was taking that I couldn’t avoid. 🤷🏻♂️ Hopefully soon we will have this cape my friend! Day 11 of the grind, attempt number 15 coming soon!

I usually never comment but wanted to thank you because after 14 attempts i managed to kill zuk on my first time making it to him and it wouldn't have been possible without these streams. I finally get to retire my fire max cape and am very happy. :)

If you're a full screen gamer and don't want to switch, use stretched mode and make your UI much larger. I normally play on a very weird resolution except when I'm doing difficult content like inferno/colosseum. I switch to full screen +70% scaling for those two specifically.

WDR guide has solves for pretty much every pillar stack and I’d highly recommend. Helped a ton for my first cape 1:08:15

Learn to 1t flick the blobs and corner trap the melees. Once you know how to do that its just use all your supplies every single run until you get to triples/zuk, then use the simulator until you clear it twice in a row and send it.
Hey aty I started the inferno grind roughly 3 days ago, getting consistently to waves 50+ , today I got to 60 with decent supplies to complete inferno (4 brews 6 restores) and I forgot my boots 😂, but I have a big issue I splash so many times on nibblers or straight up forced to barrage 3 times even, and I lost the run coz pillar rip at wave 60 due to that.
I'm using ur setup except I got Tbow, thanks for the awesome guides.

100%, keep it up and don't get too drawn into nibbler chasing! a moderate amount to save pillars pre-50, and a good emphasis on saving north post-50 is all you really need.

I don't have access nor want to account share for one - it'd be interesting since you cant rely on tanking, but it'd also probably make me lean towards too advanced methods as well to be greatly useful for people.
I have been learning inferno on a pure and i have to say, atleast for me, it was the right choice as i had to learn pretty much perfectly to flick prayers correctly and not rely on tanking at all. Havent gotten to zuk yet but its getting better every run.
My pb is zuk rn died on wave 64 lastnight going to watch more so I can master this I hope I can get my cape soon .. ty for video atty

How do you ping the tiles when using the party plugin?
You talked about the blood ancient sceptre, any thoughts on the ice one? I've done a few tries after getting the ice quartz and based on those the extra 10% accuracy on freezes felt really good, and as a small bonus it seemed to hit the mage mini-blob much more consistently for slightly faster early blob waves.
Did get lucky on a vestige afterwards though, and now I'm wondering if I should buy the kodai or potentially save up for vambs.
These videos are amazing btw, by far the best inferno content for building confidence and consistency out of all the ones I've seen. I haven't managed to get my first cape yet but am already having tons of fun sending attempts
I'm unsure about the Ice one, I'd imagine as long as you have 4 slot rune pouch it's marginally better than Kodai, although you will potentially heal slightly slower.
damn that ranger at the end was harsh on you! i liked the idea of just killing off mager and let the ranger stay on the shield. most likely would have worked just killing mager on the next rotation, but thats only because ur shield was extremely healthy

For tasks do you still take rotg(i) and devouts? I was playing around taking one less brew and one extra div bastion. Speeds up wave 40 onwards
GZ! Yeah they're still broken good for tasks - You can take up to 3 bastions as you improve, and as you go faster you can take more restores/add items like Chins. Inferno Speeds discord is the best place to learn to go consistently fast for tasks, not just speedrunning: discord.gg/93t6Zph

@@XhunterDragon96 100%, you'll die even at 25kc to some crazy wave completely randomly, but that's also the fun of it - always something to learn and improve and you feel that progress each time you step foot in the inferno :D

what about the ice staff? 10% increased accurecy on the unfrozen nibblers sounds like it would help a lot with not splshing on the nibs giving people more time to see what is going on in the wave and have a moment to think before you execute

Hey bro - Thank you so much for putting these out each week. They are a helpful resource and your way of explaining things has made me feel a lot more comfortable in the inferno.
I have a question about 1t alternating. Currently when I alternate I do the Mage on -> mage off + range on -> repeat (i.e., no prayer loss flicking). However, I occasionally stuff up the cycle with misclicks when I have to continue it for a while (e.g., killing magers with blob on me). I would find it a lot easier if I could just alternate each tick without turning off the prior prayer. Is this possible? Just going Range -> Mage -> Range -> Mage ... without turning off each prayer?

In general when 1t flicking is not the lossless version as its much harder for 1st capers who aren't even used to any sort of flicking - so 100% ignore the lossless version and stick to a consistent normal one.
A big point of these runs is to show that we have near infinite prayer, and so trying to save it causes mistakes/bad play. Tldr click boss Camp pray dps good we win

Virtus top is current bis for inferno, it's marginal but that alone is good.
Would you recommend amethyst or dragon darts when learning? Also is twisted bow a big upgrade in finishing the inferno faster?
ame is fine, dragon once you get to zuk once perhaps so you're doing potential cape runs and not practice
tbow is a big upgrade but you still need to learn the same stuff to get the cape, its maybe ~20-30% easier but hard to put a number on it - most of that is jads+ made easier
@@aatykon thanks, what are your thoughts on eldritch staff and bulwark with justi just to get the cape compared to the method your using here? Which do you think would be faster cape overall?
@@reactz1287 defence/tank gear slows down your learning as well as greatly reduces your kill potential.
in order to get a cape you need to learn some basic solves, many solves are simple if you dps.
in short, defence gear is a big noob trap and anyone advocating for it isnt likely to have more than 1kc, it's slower to get cape with it and you don't improve much either.

Instead of kodai, whats your opinion the the new ancient staffs like blood and ice quarts. Ice quarts could hold the nibblers longer however blood heals more

What size monitor do you use? Should you use 1040x635 on any normal size monitor? Is that size client the same size on any monitor e.g. 24inch 27inch 29inch etc or is it relative.
To note on the fullscreen comment, I just increase the scale of my UI and can also move my inventory further towards the middle of the screen to mitigate the distance issue.
I’ve been using master wand instead of ancient staff is that ok? Or better to just use ancient staff ?
Thanks for all this information! How would you handle wave 64 if there is 2 melee directly to the west and 1 mager east and the ranger north. I assume there is only 1 option to prayflick them? Cant seem to trap the melee because i tried to freeze the nibblers😢
at 6.43 u explain where to stand by shift clicking the tiles and it highlights them for a second, my runelite does this and i dont want it to, do u know how to turn it off please and thankyou

That's no plugin! Best bet is to google "vial smasher osrs", it's the bar crawl thing by Barb Assault, and the guy up there is the toggle (they may have added it to settings im not sure).

I'm and Ironman and I really want to try doing inferno with arma crossbow, I have full stats, I will get the new BIS archer ring, I don't have rigger. Do you think it is possible? I'm new to inferno but I have done a good bit of pvm overwise.

Hey aaty, as an Ironman running over dr for the BofA, is it unreasonable to send attempts with Ahrims ancient staff, dcb/Karils? Is that pushing way outside the bounds of skill for most players?
A level 39 combat with fire blast has done inferno, pretty much anything can work its just dependant on your mental to grind, learn, and improve.
D blessed dhide instead of karils, acb if you could get it is marginally nicer, otherwise grind out bofa/ rigour as those items are super useful elsewhere too
what's your client size/resolution? i remember hearing you talk about it but don't remember which fcf it was and am interested in changing the setting

In lieu of a assembler max cape would you recommend a trimmed ranging cape or an assembler? Not sure if the 5kg weight saved and +4 prayer bonus ends up mattering more than the ranged atk/str on the assembler.
assembler > max cape > ranging cape
(max cape + ring of suffering is nice optionally)
weight is a non issue, +4 prayer isnt nothing but devouts + rotg is already more than enough
(92+ prayer is massive as well)

so, devout > pegs & gods > suffering?
Devout > d'hide > pegs
gods > suffering | (max cape + suffering also v good)
you can always adjust based on remaining restores/brews as well, but until you pretty much get to zuk it's hard to tell and more prayer tends to be extremely useful when taking a learning approach
I like the tips, but lightbearer is definitely bis for inferno. Having extra pipe specs is so insanely good for 50+ and zuk

@aatykon treehugger30 (rank 2 UIM inferno) and Joebie (grandmaster) both coached me to learn inferno and recommended lightbearer. Pipe specs save you so much time from having to blood barrage, and having them in a pinch can save you on a bad solve.
Edit: prayer is also usually not where people struggle, it's running out of brews or just planking. If someone is getting to triples or zuk and is just out of prayer then maybe rotg would be a good addition, but that's definitely not the norm for a learner.
Im glad this wasnt just a personal preference thing but 2 players -1 a uim, doesn't say anything about the overwhelming majority of the inferno community recommending against lightbearer and for rotg.
I grant pipe specs are fantastic but having 6 restores for free is a much greater benefit for your average first caper - especially when they're rocking 77 prayer and stressing over supplies.
In some cases LB can be alright, say with pvm experience/max cape/max gear, but in terms of the average first caper it's highly detrimental, learning to phantom stacked minis is a much more effective and consistent solution, and consistency is key.

go to wave 4 and sit there burning brew/restores/stams while you learn the flicks and make sure you understand how to time/correct/manuvere while dealing with a blob.
most FCF have blob explanations in detail at the beginning of the runs - if this one's not clicking check another FCF.

besides you can take any ~20 seconds of any run and look at it and say i got lucky, but for every 20 seconds of luck there's 20 seconds of bad rng, if you go looking for that you'll find it as well.@@spitalovic9455

mage only is hyper trolling anyone saying otherwise is doing it to be different :P
there's some argument in favor relying on some twisted-strike-of-fate ironman who has full mage but not bofa, but tldr its just very bad/worse than bofa
