This is the Bofa budget setup for Inferno. This is the lowest gear I'd recommend, although it's certainly possible to do Inferno with much more budget setups.

Amethyst darts or Dragon darts recommended.
95 range, 95 mage, 80 defence, 92 prayer recommended, higher is better.
Some downgrades:
Zaryte vambraces to Barrows gloves
Virtus Top to Ahrims top or Mystic top (Ancestral is fine ofc)
Kodai to Ancient staff or Ancient sceptre
Ring of the gods (i) to Ring of suffering (i)
5 brews as a minimum is good if you want more slots for restores or other things, adding up to 3 for a total of 8 maximum is what I recommend.
Magic legs are NOT considered valuable in any way.
Ring of the Gods (i) in combination with Devout Boots give essentially infinite prayer with minimal flicking, negating the use for any Lightbearer or Eldritch, which I consider to be heavy noob traps that only detriment first-capers. Crystal armor in general has amazing prayer bonus and range defence.
These runs have a focus on good solves, melee dig preparation, and simple prayer flicking solutions.
The plugin to hide dead NPC's and prevent misclicks is "Entity Hider", mark "Hide Dead NPC's" in the Plugin. There are not many other useful plugins for Inferno, Tile Markers can be good, but don't overuse them!
Many players have had great success in the following days trying to imitate this style and while there will always be a learning curve to the content, putting some time in to learn the likes of 1 tick alternation at the very least will add a powerful tool to help you on your road to first cape.

Plan is to do this series in a smaller more edited way for ToB learning - finding teams and such, and I'm looking to do more content for overall improvement in pvm.
My tob learning experience was awful. Whole time I felt like I just had to apologize for everything and act overly grateful. I had to range xarpus (obviously) and got flamed immediately. Also found teams in 416 want absolutely nothing to do with you unless you're mdps with scythe or 100+ kc. So would appreciate you putting more tobbers in the game lol

Edit: ALSO sent like 20-30 attempts, died my first Zuk attempt cuz I ran out of brews at healers and sent another attempt same day and got it after tanking a Zuk hit. Aside from that, stay motivated boys!!! Jads and Zuk are way easier than waves. Stick to shield and pause between the final waves to calm your nerves

Congrats! I died at wave 68 last night. I guess I just gotta practice the Jad challenge in Mor-Ui-Rek so I don't die there again. It sucks to finally get through the waves and die at triples and not even get to take a crack at Zuk. :\ I was so ready for him too. For some reason though I wasn't nearly as bummed about this death as I normally am when I get this far. I feel good about the inferno right now. I don't think I'll have an problem getting there again. Zuk will soon be mine!

Currently paused at Zuk for the first time with pretty much this exact set up. Watching this and a couple other guides before I go ahead!
Yesterday I finally got my first cape, after 44 attemps and 4 Zuks. I have to thanks you, your simplier way to solve the Waves helped me a lot, I used to overcomplicate the solves, your tips save me. Thanks my friend
I really feels cheesy and almost like an infomercial, but after watching 3 of these videos I got to zuk within a week. I needed a mental break so I haven't finished the grind yet but hopefully soon I'll have my cape.

Your videos have really helped me brother. After 14 attempts and watching a lot of your inferno vids- I made it to Zuk- and died getting pulled by blowpiping ranger on the 2nd set after healers.

Just got my first cape on my first zuk attempt! Died to triples 3 times but zuk was a breeze thanks to these guides, can't thank you enough for being clear and concise!

@@PaulB-bm2mo I had max pretty much - masori top legs helm, tbow/blowpipe, ring of the gods (I), devout boots, zaryte vamps, Ava’s assembler, anguish, dragon arrows/darts virtus top/kodai, occult, crystal shield. Think that’s everything. I’m not going to lie though, my tbow was hitting some major 0s on zuk, thought it’d be way better. Think I was getting close to my 3rd set and I wasn’t missing any ticks to do damage to zuk
do you think it woule have been a big difference with bowfa? or tbow and masori definetly worth it? and did you pray flick?
@@PaulB-bm2mo I think tbow is actually only a super big difference for the mages, probably not a super super huge difference on zuk (I was hitting a lot of zeroes with max range)
Crystal also has better ranged defense when having to tank rangers at the start of waves 50+, if you have bowfa and Crystal I say just go for it, more than enough.
For prayer flicking I didn’t have to conserve much but I did it when it was easy and I was only fighting one monster, had to 1 tick flick a couple times with rangers/blob and mages/blob and do an off tick type deal with rangers/meleers sometimes
at 4 kc and still watching to get reminded of good inferno habits :)

Excellent guide brother, why don't you use the set timer plugin? I've already used it and it helps a lot with the timing of Mage-ranged Sets. I have it, it's the "Space" key. As soon as the fight starts, Zuk activates it and the 3:30 count goes. When you reach 600, press again and the time stops and adds the additional time and when Jad comes out, press again to start the time.
I was having a lot troubles getting past wave 60. But after watching your videos, I got to zuk on the next 4 tries and finally got the cape on the 4th zuk. :)

I like to casually raid, solo ToA and such and I've been putting off inferno for so long because I only had an armadyl crossbow and I didn't want to go for my first cape with xbow for whatever reason. I still don't have Tbow but I do have a bofa and ancestral.
Seeing it done simple like this motivated me to get in there and give it some attempts now.

i already had 14 inferno kc when i started watching this series, you convinced me to swap eldritch for devout boots and ring of the gods (i) and now i finish with MORE super restores than i did with eldritch lol, thanks for making these
People still don't believe it's more effective but glad to see the improvement here from someone with experience!

He has said he doesn’t like to focus on specific wave number too much because people get in their heads about tricky waves, aaty suggests it’s better to just solve the wave infront of you and not worry what wave that is
I am at 21 zuks without the cape. I have over 900k in tokkul from failed attempts. Idk how to not die at zuk, but thanks to these videos I am a master at the waves. Thank you aatykon. One day I’ll get that beautiful beautiful cape and my suffering can end

I got infernal cape thanks to you and gnomonkey. Can't wait for the tob videos. Will it be a guide for complete learners or will it be for learners + advanced players that are looking to maximise efficiency? I hope its the latter.
It's going to primarily be about the initial leap from 0kc to 5/10kc, where players greatly struggle to find an entry point due to lack of team particularly. I want to show it's very possible to get into tob and give the best approach and mindset while doing so.
Those videos really make inferno easy, combined with the inferno simulator for the last waves. Got to zuk healers on attempt #10, and the cape on #12 just by watching an hour of guide inbetween every try. Thanks a lot :)

Love the videos, this series inspired me to do the inferno (WIP) and even though it is punishing it is fun + interesting content. This series makes the inferno extremely approachable and honestly came at a perfect time since I just decided to commit to it. Excited for the TOB videos in the future since I feel its such a great raid but many learners are intimidated by it. I can already tell that your videos will help open that content up to many people for sure.

definitely you are a true gamer I can't find a way to get that far in inferno I gave up a long time ago I have the excuse of getting the maximum cape and then progress to inferno or wait for any update for make it easy, i think is very hard for casuals

For triple jads, when does the damage register? Is it like the mager and ranger where the damage registers when the animation begins?
same as normal jad in the fight caves. when the animation happens exactly when the projectile spawns
Little late so you probably found out already but you can for the next jad as soon as it starts its animation. So if jad one ranges and you pray then jad two shows mage you can click mage instantly because jads 1 attack registered already.
So smooth. Learned a few tricks for the jads.
I’ve gotten to 6 zuks. Hopefully I get my cape soon.

Npc indicator plug in
when you flick rigour do you have it on one tick, turn off next tick, turn on next tick? or is it on and off in one tick?
You click Rigour the tick before you need it, then turn it off in the middle of the next tick, after it’s done its job of boosting your DPS for that tick.
Prayers only activate on the tick after you click them.

Virtus is not a middle ground, it’s a direct upgrade in every single way for the inferno
How do you start a 1 tick flick with blob in the back and mage in the front?
click mager, alternate - getting the specific timing vs ranger/mager start is just practice
I only have a zerk and really have been grinding for way to long to try get it, have you considered doing a guide on doing it on a lower defence account? Would be greatly appreciated! Thanks either way your guides have helped a lot furthest I’ve got so far is wave 58!
There's no real difference on a zerk - just need to be a bit more careful with melees and make faster decisions to dps or bp spec or brew etc
I also cant account share for inferno so doing this would be out of the question.

So when Zuk goes enrage he shoots out more attacks right? Where am I supposed to stand in the corners? Got 1 shot in the left corner trying to follow the shield, the tile markers I imported had some red tiles I’m not sure what they’re for? Subbed btw
the marked tiles in the corner are safe assuming you follow the shield into the corner. End of the day post-healer enrage zuk you must follow the shield 100%.
Red tiles would likely be "drag tiles", where if you shoot zuk from you'll be dragged into the middle a bit.
Hey aaty, i like watching these as an experienced player, however new players coming into the inferno may not know who you are, and after i saw u tank that mage hit, i wondered of maybe newer players would question u, (we all know ur goated but some people might just click off) what if you gave your credentials so to speak at the beginning of your vid, like who u are, ur most notable achivements in the onferno and such
It's not a bad idea and in some cases it's probably quite beneficial.
I guess it can go both ways - people don't want to listen to the "elitest endgame sweat" even if the advice is the best out there, and vice versa some people do and they almost trust a bit too blindly when it could be wrong.
It's something I plan on doing for future educational videos especially post 2k all raid capes - esp since i can frame it as "look i have a ton of experience in a variety of raids" rather than "i did 10000 hours of inferno speedruns"

Hey aaty with you mentioning client size for level pvm do you also think there are cons of trying to learn higher level pvm on fixed mode ?
fixed only really suffers from minor clarify/clutter issues, not the mode of choice for most big gamers but not overly damaging compared to fullscreen

Probably masori mask for the dps, don’t really need to tank anything with justiciar if you do things right
Why is suffering a noob trap? Do you mean because ppl take it for the defensive bonuses? As an ironman without the Ring of the gods, I use it to get extra prayer bonus over the new Venator ring. Or would I be better off using something else? I also use Guardian boots over Blessed d'hide for the same reason.
Finally got through the waves yesterday for the first time, choked on triples twice in a row, sending another attempt today. Thanks for the vids, seeing solves for the 60s really helped me with my runs.
If I said suffering I misspoke - justi/lightbearer/eldritch are noob traps, suffering is perfectly reasonable as a first-cape ring.
It's especially good with max cape as that carries the wrench effect instead of rotg.
as an iron you could grab a rotg quite easily nowadays, but you're fine using suffering + d'hide boots (guardians are find but i still recommend d'hide boots)
I was planning on using masori tbow with max cape and suffering and eldrich just for more prayer. Also probably guardian boots but maybe devout idk yet. I’ll start my first attempts this weekend when I get back from vacation I’m so excited to try
@@brody8857 Just got the cape on Wednesday on my iron with bofa. I'd defo go for devout boots and ring of the gods if you're main to have more chill runs in general. I tried to conserve prayer by lazy flicking, which made runs more intense.
@ yea I think I’m leaning towards devout for sure but I’ll prob use suffering and max cape since I don’t have zar vambraces
@ yeah it’s a decent chunk I’ll try it will suffering and eldrich staff to make up for the prayer and just see. If it really comes down to it and I need more prayer I’ll try the rotg

Virtus is better because it buffs Ancient Magics (Barrages) more than Ancestral
From being afraid of the inferno after watching xzact/dearlola/gnomonkey's guides, tried it and i kinda gave up soon after reaching wave 60 once. Your vids made me actually get good and now I enjoy inferno for some reason. Close on gettin' the first cape, but my goal is the pet now, so perhaps many more after the 1st. Thanks dude :)

Just something to note: 1 tick alternating is not actually 100% required. I did my first cape just fine without doing it
there's a 39 combat cape with fire blast there's a lot you can do without but the skills and gear and stats make first caping drastically easier
@@aatykon I feel like I had an easier time not doing it though. Like it was much easier to just turn the first prayer on -> attack the stack -> switch prayers appropriately -> quickly go back behind pillar -> repeat
1 fuck up with the 1tick alternating could mean instant death. But obviously you know best, just sharing my personal experience with it
@@HotLeafJuicer i appreciate that it worked for you, but it's also a 1kc sample size which is why most learner testimonies can't be used for understanding whats a good method or not - the 1t alternation opens up possibilities to fight in the open and not just for pillar stacks, e.g dpsing mager + 2 blobs with a ranger/melee camping other side of the pillar

i have max cape would that be better over the assembler for the +4 prayer? i dont have zaryte vambs so idk if that would be a max hit or not. other than that im running the same setup in the video.
Although the prayer bonus probably not relevant because you won’t run out if you have ROTG and devouts, the HP regen from HP cape might help slightly. But considering you won’t run out of prayer anyway, I’d use an assembler for more dps personally.
it's a good option esp for max players who can flick a little - used in conjunction with ring of suffering (you get wrench from cape instead) makes for an overall tankier setup with -4 prayer (i think)
If I have ahrims skirt but only mystic top do I bring the ahrim bottoms or the mystic top for the mage switch?
whichever gives better mage bonus, but check you're maintaining decent tank stats for whatever you switch out. It's minimal overall.

yes its an option, although that itself carries risk
1: mager can melee you as you run around/through, and it can move while you run through it to an awk position
2: you'll take hits from blob anyway while you do so
its better to learn and use simple 1t alternation for a wave like this, because its a 1 solution for all waves type deal. if you cant 1t alternate on command on demand it will be much harder to get a cape - so i stress learning it/practicing it, and being able to use it in situations like this, as they should be fairly comfy.

range cape if ~sub 92 prayer, assembler if 92+ (+4 prayer but very minimal overall, assembler if in doubt)

rotg doesnt just give you bonus it also gives you holy wrench effect which is majorly good
dps > tank almost always throughout the game, so overall i'd consider that setup considerably worse@@MacGuffin1234

Hey sorry if you hear this a lot but have you ever done a mobile inferno cape or guide? I'm looking to start trying my mobile inferno journey soon and have just discovered your guides so hoping you can help :)
Not personally, but I have a few friends who've done it - it's certinaly a little harder but very dooable.
Same methods, practice, time put it in will pay off, no difference in approach other than being aware it may take longer due to the ui limitations - good luck!
