Very tempted to get a pair. Have been running in Salomon Sense Ride since its first version and love them, but this Genesis has a different appeal that I like. Time will tell, as I still have few pairs of trail running shoe to open and won´t be good to accumulate one more box under my office desk :D Cheers!
Your review is spot on! I’ve owned Genesis for six months, sized up 1/2 size as you recommend and love these shoes (despite not liking other Solomon shoes). Midsole is a perfect combination of responsive and cushioning. More stable than my Speedgoat 5s, and more bounce than Speedgoat 6. Stack height feels similar to Speedgoat, despite the numbers. Matryx upper is the best in the biz- breathable and doesn’t stretch (unlike SG5 uppers). Traction is outstanding with the 5mm lugs. This shoes is a winner. You did a perfect perfect review!

How is the wear on outsole? Does it wear out quick? I was thinking of pairing it with Mafate Speed 4 as daily trail shoes.

How would they do if you ran through a river. Would they hold water or dump water and dry quick?
They’ve got great breathability so they should drain fairly well after a river crossing.
