    RUclips has been giving me so many issues uploading my videos. Sorry for the late upload, had to re-upload it because it didn't do it the first time. Either way, hope you all enjoyed the review! Would you take a this IS 350 F Sport or one of these other premium offerings below below?
    Audi A4
    Mercedes Benz CLA
    BMW 3 Series
    Tesla Model 3
    Acura TLX
    Infiniti Q50

      I would absolutely take the IS350 AWD F-Sport over any of the other offerings. The IS is made in Japan at the Tahara plant, it is RWD-based, the AWD system is an old school (read: reliable, predictable) planetary geared center diff setup and not a Haldex or on-demand system, the V6 has port/direct injection so you never have to worry about carbon buildup, there are no turbos to blow up, no turbo lag to deal with, etc. It's basically a reliable Japanese 3 series built during a time when BMW had been the Ultimate Driving Machine, and I'm seriously contemplating buying one in 2020, at the end of its cycle and (theoretically) at the peak of its reliability.

      Replaced my IS300 with a Model 3, which imo is vastly superior in every aspect except reliability, build quality, and interior design... Then, bought a used IS350 AWD, just in case the Model 3 leaves me stranded, and for when the snow gets really bad 😅

    1) Next Generation IS coming next Fall as a 2021 Model
    2) Nice color combo : ultrasonic blue mica 2.0 + red = spiderman colors.
    3) Agree - ISF should be available with the 5.0 V8
    4) Agree- with the IS F sport wheels. Been on the car forever now - but they are much similar to the LFA wheels.
    5) Key fob is outdated - will get the new fob next fall to share with the LS LC UX ES 2020 RX
    6) NOT WORTH IT? For those having a hard time with the price - The leasing incentives on it are absolutely rediculous for September.
    7) Rear sunshade is a cool addition we rarely see here in the midwest!!!!
    8) I don't like the mouse interface - The touch pad in more modern Lexus vehicles is 10x better imo.
    9) Sport + Mode enables stiffer steering, more sensitive throttle and stiffer suspension with adaptive variable suspension.
    10) Back seat: I'm 6'1" - Back seat is tight but NO ONE sits with there knees straight ahead - at least dudes will spread eagle a bit and straddle the seat to make it more comfy.
    11) NO connectivity in the back seat is frustrating on Lexus vehicles - they are fixing this with 2019 refreshes/remodels and newer but the IS is still suffering from a lack of updates.
    12) I haven't driven the RWD IS 350 with the 8 speed, but the 6 speed is perfection.
    13) Handling - car is planted and a blast to drive hard
    14) Good review overall Forrest :)
    15) Shameless plug - my YT channel is all about Lexus. Feel free to stop on over. Peace!

No silly joy stick and much better cup holder/armrest placement. Plus the power of the red sport cant be forgotten. Great review. Am a fan of the night drive. Gives a good impression of interior lighting 👍

    If Lexus made a full blown IS F or IS500 or whatever that they've hinted at and plopped the RC F V8 in it along with an updated touch screen infotainment with android auto, then I can seriously see myself upgrading to that car in 5-8 years when I'm done with my Miata. Like, if I could just get the exact car your reviewing in that exact blue/red color combo, but with a V8 and better infotainement, then it'd be my favorite compact luxury sport sedan. As of right now tho, I do still really appreciate this car and am glad it exists, especially in the RWD F-Sport V6 config.

    Hi Forrest! I apologize I haven't been commenting on your videos lately. This is a cool sporty Lexus. I love that the wheelbase looks long because of how far the length is from the door. Its kinda rare to have that kind of length on a Lexus anyways. Arm space is important because my passangers almost always set their arms on the center area. I do too! Headspace is important too... That vehivle would probably be too small for me to sit in the back. My car doesn't have enough headspace and I didnt realize how important that would be for me until I owned my first vehicle. Yeah, if I had the money, my next vehicle would have to be more sporty, quick to accelerate to 60. The headlights have a really good lighting range! Great quality video as always!

    Footwell lighting is definitely a first world problem.

  • @DaEverything1
    @DaEverything1 5 лет назад +1

    It is a shame that Lexus does not update this car. They are using their history of reliability to not modernize their cars. Yes the engine is very good but that is only half the car. If you buy this, its like you are buying a 2012 car in 2019. When was the last time you saw a footwell e-brake?? How does a 2019 car still use an e-brake in the footwell??
    Also, this car does not have apple car play or android auto. The cars navigation system is terrible. Looks like something from 2010.
    And this car DOES NOT have full LED tail lights. The turn signals are not even LED.
    It lacks too much technology to remain competitive in one of the most competitive compact car segment. Like Audis, you literally have a dash that you can adjust to your liking and even put a navigation in there!! Yet this car, the little lcd screen in the dash only shows you basic information like tire pressure and gas mileage remaining... A 2008 BMW has those features...

    There is just something so off-putting by the "look" of Toyota products. They need a 180 design turn-around. (Supra is looking good, at least in pictures). 50 K + for vinyl seats, that can't be good. Especially in that color combination, that car is a "Hot Mess". (shitty fuel-economy to boot.). Doesn't really sound like a "Solid Choice". Maybe the very base model (at a huge discount) is a better choice. Better yet, get a Lincoln MKZ.

    • @forrestsautoreviewsofficial
      @forrestsautoreviewsofficial  5 лет назад +4

      Yikes, the Lincoln MKZ is NOT a better option by any means. It handles like a boat, has about the same level of tech as this and looks worse. Looks are objective and differ between each person so I won't include that as a hard fact. Where this vehicle gets value is the reliability, and quality for the price. It's a Lexus so it WILL 100% hold its value tremendously well. I can go snatch up a used MKZ for very cheap. The IS also has a naturally aspirated V6 which you rarely see anymore, a smaller size which means it's not trying to be too large, and a solid chassis that is a joy to daily drive. Vinyl seats are something a lot of manufacturers are moving to in order to be sustainable. Audi, Porsche, Tesla, BMW, and many others have vinyl seat options as well. As for the color combo, I'm a huge Spiderman fan so I think it looks properly cool.

    We should do a comparison video to find what’s worse, a Lexus IS, Acura TLX or Infiniti Q50. They’re definitely the three worst luxury sedans on the market. The IS is literally the same car it was in 2006, except it’s gotten uglier with the addition of Lexus’ hideous spindle grille, droopy taillights, Nike ✔ DRLs, and the terrible interior with Lexus' atrocious infotainment. Not only is it running the exact same boring 3.5L Camry-special engine that debuted back in 2006, it's also stuck with Toyota's slow shifting 8-speed automatic. There's not much to like about the IS or any Lexus for that matter.

    • @dionjeremy1711
      @dionjeremy1711 5 лет назад +3

      What I've learned observing the car market is the financial health of the company and sales of their vehicles answers those questions. Most people aren't super picky on cars and the top 10 best selling us vehicles show that . Since most of the cars are Toyota,Honda,Ford, Chevrolet, and ram. This shows most people are not as picky
      as you lol. The cars from Toyota and Honda are boring sedans, and crossovers . So it's fairly obvious reliability and a to b driving dominates the market choice.
