I think he did love her as a daughter, watching her grow and mature.

I agree, I know it’s fictional but the look on Sam & Mr Doyle’s face when she asked if he’d be a godfather 🥰 beautiful! It made my eyes go decidedly glassy. On the whole I think they have a great relationship

It reminds me of Timothy and….his on screen dad, the doctor they have an almost family bond. I remember his speaking about the actor who plays Timothy maybe six or more years ago. Had someone not known they would have thought it was his off screen dad. He spoke so lovingly, yet so proud 🥰 my eyes are glassy again! Completely off topic but I remember Bob Geldoff correcting an interviewer who said he had how ever many daughters. He said no I have blah, at that time his ex, the mother of children had passed. Then the husband which left their daughter alone, Bob rightly said she was his child too, a sister of his daughters was good enough for him. Actually, I don’t think he could say no to a child who needed a home.
I used to teach and I always said genetics don’t matter much, the role a person plays in your life deserves the title of grandpa, aunt, dad…. I believe those roles are earned. A lady I worked with had 5 sons and over 30 grandchildren. As her sons got a new girlfriend she took all of the children as her grandchildren. Her sons weren’t so good at staying in relationships, hence the number. Staying at grandmas’ at the weekend had to be a rota 😂
Which is now reminding me of 2 ch. I taught, the eldest took my hand coming in from playtime. She told me she’d had a Christmas just like in books and tv. 🥰 She was with a foster cared, her birth mum treated her a her sister’s lives many times. They’ve now both aged out of foster care. But they’re still there with their mum & dad. Oddly their foster sister, was a customer of mine and I hadn’t realised until she picked up and order with them. Hugs and tears of happiness all around 😀The customer was put in foster care at 12, by 14 her previous foster caters didn’t want her because she was having a baby 😤 Guess who took her without any question?

If they were the same age it'd be all on. The video captures everything that matters in this world.

I think their relationship was like that of Tracey and Hepburn

She was a funny kid to him. He'd lost the love of his life and never found another. The people he was attracted to were women his own age and it never worked again. No way he'd take off after his son's former girlfriend.

Weird choice of song since these two were not 'in love'.

An original idea, well put together .....but it's essential to give credit to the music and singer; here it's Vic Damone with Jack Marshall's Music.
