Harmonies are LIFE!!!!!!!!! When I meet someone who feels and hears music like I do, it's an instant connection! I love music! Imagine what heaven's music sounds like.. 😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤
My mom passed down singing to me and to be honest, I did everything pretty good but I had no idea what I did 😂 I'm so glad Tara you explained the technicals 🔥
I've been all my life enjoying vocal content as an espectator. This was my first time trying to sing along and it was so awesome. It came out so well right at the spot. I'm so happy, thank you guys ^^
I'm also a choir boy. I picked up the third right away too. Appreciate this teaching but C is a pretty easy key to find harmony in, and it's a very common key for songs to be sung in. What about unusual or rare keys? How do I improve harmonizing in F sharp major or B flat minor? In harder keys i sometimes royally mess up my harmony and sound like I have no idea how to sing.
Thank you so much! I was totally harmonizing with you. This is helpful, and I was able to find the 3rd and 5th. These tips are great. I'll work on them. Also, I'm very much the DIY person. Definitely interested to level up in my singing career. Thank you and God bless you.🙏
Thank you so much for all of your tutorials,I can't even tell you how much have they helped me and still continue to help. All that I can say is THANK YOU for everything❤
you did it! You got through to me. I was always overwhelmed and couldn't figure it out. you gave me a new key. the. metaphor of the baby was perfect. Thanks so much
Always up for a good challenge. Maybe, after I master this, just maybe I can do the free assessment , and get into Jeremie's s schedule. After I do Sing Smarter Not Harder, of course. I really would like to do that! What do you think?

Just found your channel from your Disturbed on Conan vid, but I gotta comment on how intelligently you guys are speaking. Tara used the word "regurgitate" perfectly. Really, big ups.
@@Tarasimonstudios Thank youu. And you are welcome. Keep up the amazing work. We learn so much from you. I'm happy you have several videos about harmonies and they are very well structured. Also, it's amazing you included the male voice too, because I can relate more as a tenor myself. :)
Truely speaking! Tara you have really improve my voice since I started following you. I can go to program, I can even go to anywhere I get invited. Thank you so much. Thanks for your help. Much love ❤️🥰🥰🥰🙏☝️👏👍
I'm confused. Is it emerge or immerse? Cuz they have essentially opposite meanings. Great informational video...I can always tell when I hear great harmony and I love it but I didn't really "know" the reason it's harmony. This technical stuff is fascinating...easy to tell what you like but this helps understand why.
I found the third!! Also, I love this tutorial it has helped way more than any tutorial I have ever tried. In the back of my head, I think I always knew these steps but Tara, you just put them into words that actually made sense! thank you so much!!
This is so helpful! You mention listening to harmonies to help train the ear. Do you have a list of artists I could listen to, to find those great harmonies? When you talk about harmonies I’m reminded of Out Of Eden (Christian female group). I love their harmonies.
i learned about harmonies from What I've Been Looking For from High School Musical and then i just listened to a bunch of musical duets bc they had the most harmonies and i just learned
1. Thanks so much for the intelligent and useful information. 2. Gotta edit the beginning. You’re talking about “immersion”, but you wrote “emerge” on the video. Just a quick fix. Thanks again. Lovely work you both did. Will subscribe.
Glad you found the video helpful! And welcome to my Tarabyte family. So happy to have you here! Yeah, the misspelling was noticed after the video was posted. Unfortunately there isn’t a way to edit it without taking the video down, fixing, and then re-uploading again.
I really like a prefer to sing harmonies and it's not always easy and is definitely easier for some than others. But as I tell my children and students and athletes...... Everything in life is hard....... Until it's not.! There was a time when we couldn't walk or talk or read or whatever. .... but with time and practice and "immersion" those thing became second nature and we do them without thinking about that we're doing them. So practice properly and realize that things take time. If it's something you like and enjoy and want to do it is worth your time, however long it takes
Hi. Interested in your comments. I've sung in a 4 part harmony Male Voice Choir for well over 30 years. I play guitar and sing in small acoustic ensembles. Believe me I am immersed in the music. In choir I have to sing harmonies all the time. BUT, they have to be learned by rote, note by note, repeated ad infinitum before I can sing the part. I have no ability whatsoever to simply harmonise against another singer without being strictly taught what to sing. Playing in pubs/clubs with various ensembles over the years it would have been great to sing a harmony against another singer. I always end up singing the melody. Personally, I think there's rather more to it that just being immersed in the music. Despite the fact that I've been doing it for 30 years, if you sing me a note, I won't reliably find the third, until someone sings it for me! That 'next step' has always eluded me!
Thank you so much for this very helpful especially for the 5th twist. I have been trying and mostly comfy with the 3rd but my 5th always sounds so flat.. I like what you did hear. Can you kindly keep giving us more simple examples like this for beginners like me just the Root, 3rd and 5th next week if possible again 🙏🙏
I’ve got no problems with singing harmonies 🙂. I do blind harmonies on almost everything 😅, so this was just too easy for me, but it sounds good 👌🏼🙂! Btw, I just found your channel TODAY & this is the third one I’m listening to & I totally LOVE your channel, Tara 😍❣️ Thank you so much for the work you put in to make those videos 🙏🏼🙂❣️ I can’t wait to pick the next one to listen to 😀‼️ Love ❤️ to you from Lena (Sweden 🇸🇪)❣️
Thanks love. I did a couple other tutorials on harmony besides this one. Just do a search with my name and harmony and you should be able to find parts 1 & 2.
Super fun video.. was easy doing it cuz i knew how. But yeah can be strange for others to try to find le tird one the first time.. Super fun video tara :)
I love harmonies!! I really love 4th Impact’s harmonies!!! I’m going right now to relisten to their Leave the door open and practice!!! I saw your ad on RUclips!!! Great job!!!! Love you my Queen!!!!!
Good stuff... I was just talking about needing a video like this.. thank you, thank you so much for your labor in the love of music!!! Tara your team rocks!!!😊
Your tutorial is good. But the reservation l have is that of the 5th second Harmony party. Does that mean 3rd and 5th can end at thesame note 3rd (m r d r m) 5th ( s s s f m) 1st ( d t l d) But normal 5th ( s f m f s). Explain further with chord also
Hi Tara, Nice job explaining the root, third, and fifth. I developed a good ear back in 2014 for barbershop and vocal jazz harmonies. How about you do dominant seventh, sixth, and add9 chords.

It sounds Wonderful Trust me

I CAN'T do harmonies, but I found the 3rd right away! YAY. I'm amazed
Lucky, I couldnt
Me too! =)
"Talk to the baby" - such a great tip!! ❤️❤️❤️
I like fast and smart people. This video gives me the vibe that y’all are smart. It’s refreshing. Weird to say probably… but it’s true.
Right that’s why they used the word emerge throughout when they meant immerse

Of course you were lower than the both of them right
As a serious a capella fan - I can't thank you enough for this🙏😄
It would be helpful if you could expand that past the major arpeggio. Into lower lower harmonies maybe?
Excellent tutorial! Very informative and encouraging us to harmonize with you, a lot a lot fun!
This is great thank you. Can you do more interactive harmony videos like this? I enjoyed singing the third with you guys.
Been listening to this video on repeat the last day and can already see improvement! Thank you so much. I hope I can get it someday!

The more you practice, the easier it'll get, to the point where it'll become second nature
