I found this podcast to be very informative. Nothing like a conductor who really understands every function of every musical instrument. True experts taking their time to explain things. Thank you professional speakers.
Great podcast! I’m glad to hear how Dr. Sarton repeatedly points out the importance on taking the time to assess each patient and that there is no blanket treatment for pelvic floor issues. Listening to this podcast, I was amazed to hear how the pelvic floor works and interacts with the rest of the body. All this extremely well-presented information made me angry at my doctor because it helped me realize that a lot of my chronic pain and general discomforts may actually come from the pelvic floor issues that were diagnosed but not taken seriously. I am grateful to now be equipped with this knowledge, which I hope will guide me to wellness once I get my doctor onboard!
Hello and greetings from Jamaica in the Caribbean, Dr Malik🌻. I recently subscribed to your channel and I must say how AWESOME my experience has been...👏👏👏. I absolutely admire the candid way in which you expertly address sexual & urological issues that mean sooo much to me. Especially in this episode with your sprightly and learned guest Julie😊. I have gained soooo much confidence as a 50 yr old man who had sooo many uncertainties and unfounded fears with my changing urogenital functions. Thank you for being such a wonderful support for our male community in particular... prostate, urine flow reduction et al. I will definitely share and encourage other men to subscribe to this healthy impactful channel. Be sure to visit Dr Sarton's office and do a PT episode, ok. Thank you again and God bless you, always 🙏
not many of us have 1:50:34+ hours to watch hour+ videos - shorter is better, breaking these long videos down into shorter videos is better and recommended
Great information! Yes I would like to observe Dr. Malik having a pelvic floor exam (curtains up if course), but to hear the specialist describe and demonstrate how an exam is performed. Lots of specific exercise tips were mentioned for strengthening the pelvic floor.
Some brains can't take too much information at one time ,so learning to deal with it helps . Being able to be educated helps yourself improve yourself , great video.
I love seeing a scientific look at things in plain language, no guilt or shame about anything at all. So much guilt and shame around sex over the years and it's exhausting. And wrong in my opinion, there shouldn't be any.
For a woman that lives with a stage 3 rectocel living in Thailand I found this video sooooooooooooooooo valuable! Thank you so much. And yes please go to Dr. Sartons office! Oh and living in Thailand I have access to frequent affordable message which I have found very helpful for my overall health ❤
Rena pleasure note to yourself to verify every audio setting next time you record, on RUclips it has always been said that audio above all should be perfect! Nice to see you focus on what your audience is there for ! Good luck !
I started experiencing leaking at 18/19, once I got to college. I did sports growing up, and throughout high school I did cross country. I did softball until junior year. I didn't play a sport in college and physical activity was much less. I never had a kid either. I don't know if it was one or a combination of the freshman fifteen, my athletic history, birth control or something else that caused my weak pelvic floor. Doctor didn't even have a good answer. I dealt with it for several years before I finally saw a specialist and started pelvic floor physical therapy. The therapy definitely helped but I haven't been good at doing what I was taught/learned since the appointments stopped. Things could be better still but they are improved. I don't wear a pad every day like I was. I'm scared for if I ever have a kid how bad it might get again...
Hi, Dr. Malik! Andrew Keener here. We’ve communicated via email a while back. I injured my back in June 2023 doing back squats on a smith machine. How could that have impacted my pelvic floor? Yes. I did go to my PCP. She was not happy with me. After I initially injured myself … I slept. I don’t typically do that after an injury. My lower back still hurts sometimes. And my lower back often hurts if I sit for a prolonged period of time. Mainly when I eat. But I’m a concierge at an apartment building on the third (overnight) shift on Monday through Friday. Same here too. And definitely when I ride public transportation (metro train) to and from work. I live in Reston, Virginia.
a wash cloth rolled tight about 1 1/4" diameter- sit on it. on a hard surface. semi-soft surface. do both. lengthwise- DUH. on a shoulder press machine. the weight presses you down. use those muscles to push back against the weight. it works. incorporate a vacuum ab contraction . tightens and strengthens whole lotta stuff. also activates TVA > reduces pot-belly (YMMV). do it EVERY DAY. squeeze that muscle while doing a headstand. everything helps.
Love the cocontent doc.I learnt so much while multitasking. The length of the vid is perfectly fine to me, I made sure work on my attention span and my patience. I took notes as well so thanks a million to both of you ladies🤝🤍
Thank you for all the detailed info, especially regarding kegels and tense pelvic floor. It was very difficult to find this kind of informations until now! As a sex coach for men, thank you again.
I'm watching this and usually you talk about men's issues. I really like her energy and the way she explains things. I have always been able to visualize inside of my body and she gives great visual images. I'm wondering, do these exercises also work for men? Sorry if that's a stupid question.
I got alot of beneficial tips that I can show women and thanks for the Information. If you ever need to practice these techniques Dr. Malik I would happily volunteer. 1:48:27
I want to ask whether the sex positions described in the erotic book Mates by Sobers Rodrigues are practical. I find the book very fascinating. I would like to apply some of the moves perform by its lead protagonist.
I really like your RUclips videos wish you were in New York City. Can you do a video on testofen (fenugreek extract) and tribulus terrestris for better sexual function? I'm a proponent of natural treatments but I would love a smart person's opinion on efficacy and potential toxicity. Thank you so much!
The style of toilet found in much of central Asia. Basically an oval hole in the floor with extra traction for the feet. Some have a "hood" at one end to help catch the urine stream.
Julie Sarton mentions a lot of medical blabber and like a politician talks a lot without any concrete information in her talk - this video could have gotten the same info across to us within 30 minutes !!🤬😠😡
Like I say all the time, these sex discussions are 💤 boring why is all this sex information needed? The bottom line is,you do what you do and keep it moving, I don't want to turn into a 🤖 robot

I've been doing male pelvic floor compression for a long while, and it would seem like this is greatly appreciated!
Thanks you for sharing all this information. Hopefully having all these resources available will improve the health outcomes for many in the future.
Great video! Would love to see what they do in office with you as the patient ❤
Keep making these longer vids Dr Rena.
I love it.

Lots of info, great stuff. Ignore the long comments. Chop up pieces for short clips but still post longer ones.

I have ehlers danlos syndrome. I am very active.. I would LOVE to have a consult.
For males my pelvic floor therapist used the term "nuts to guts" to describe a kegal.
I got alot of beneficial tips that I can show women and thanks for the Information. If you ever need to practice these techniques Dr. Malik I would happily volunteer. 1:48:27
Does the impact of jogging/running stimulate the pelvic floor to become stronger?
My tools is great tool and can grow up to 6 inches nicely without any pills now I m trying to get it bigger which is wonderful
i like the one hour long videos. i learn a lot and i get something to listen to for an hour. keep it up please!
I want to ask whether the sex positions described in the erotic book Mates by Sobers Rodrigues are practical. I find the book very fascinating. I would like to apply some of the moves perform by its lead protagonist.
i really enjoys your vids.
Interesting video.
I wonder how well julie sartons pelvic floor functions
yes lets see your pelvic floor being worked
What if ruining the orgasm is the point?
😂What can we take to get the blood flow that is too thick ,I am in Jamaica
Yo. Michael
The way she talks is weirding me out lol good information it's just hard to focus with the way she talks. Like its infantilising
Exactly! The way she emphasizes words like she’s talking to children. Also, a bit of a Valley Girl. Like each sentence is a question. May be high. 😅
@@karagi101 ok I thought it was just me lol 😆 I'm like was that a question or statement? Ctfu
@@icemanbtlr25 😂
Couldn’t watch any more. A one page summary is what I’d love to see.
Driving me crazy
Leaking?
Someone comment with a TLDR please! This is almost 2 hours!
When she sneezes or maybe laughs real hard, they leak a little pee.
Pee
Beautiful nerds.

What, pray tell, is a Squaty Potty?
The style of toilet found in much of central Asia.
Basically an oval hole in the floor with extra traction for the feet. Some have a "hood" at one end to help catch the urine stream.
It’s a little step you put your feet on while on the toilet. It changes the angle
Who has 2 hrs to watch a video? Suggest they be done incrementally. Twenty min segments
How old are you? Anyone under 70 knows you can pause at any time and continue watching the video later.
You can just watch it in 20 min increments if that suits you..
speed it up like speed reading ..all about your priorities
😢

These videos are too long...
It's a podcast. Play it in the background
I agree; shorts would help. I watch long ones on 2x speed
More info is better.
That’s the entire point of timestamps bud……..
Boo hoo
The opposite sex is ruining it for me
?
Tried so hard to listen to this, but this woman has the most irritating speech pattern and had almost nothing to say.
Doctor Malik looking sexy in glasses 💞
Switch to shorts please no long videos
Thinking the same thing.
Time. Stamps. It’s not hard to use them!
I agree ! Good information but way too long videos !
Shorts would be terrible. Now shortER videos could be nice.
Why so you use your brain and extend your concentration capacity.
Dr Rena, I believe you need a nose operation.I notice that lately. Because not physically appearing .it’s about your speeches.
Two hours of bla-bla with a total pure essence of 5 minutes spread across
Why does she talk like she thinks she’s cute and clever and flirting with the viewer?
Because she's cute and clever and flirting with the viewer
@@carolcooper3138 If you find her cute then your idea of cute is way different than mine. She may have been cute once - about 25 years ago.
