Thanks again Kit. This year I started using small soft-plastics on my sabiki for catching live-bait. One of my best moves of the year. So easy, effective and fun, and no risk of leaving squid to dry in the car!
What I am worried about is when the fish are spooky, the hard jig head makes a loud banging noise when it hits a rock underwater. I’m going to dip my lead weights in plastidip and use soft plastics that are overmoulded and cover the weight.

Those are called swing head jigs. They sell them for freshwater bass in the states

you are overthinking things...the knocks actually attract fish.
