Today we're breaking out the wargaming terrain for a Let's Play of the World Of Tanks Miniatures Game by Gale Force Nine.

John and Gerry go head to head in this miniatures game. As fans of the videogame they're finding a lot to like in this adaptation. One thing that diverges from it's digital forbearer is that when controlling multiple tanks there is the opportunity for teamwork amongst these metallic behemoths.

Only thing missing is the mighty jingles narrating. A 15 v 15 players on one large table would be great!

24:00 you forgot to subtract the -1 for point blank range and the -1 for a flanking shot. You mentioned the point blank a bit after, but not the flank. Also the crit damage card should have gone next to the tank card as a reminder until it was repaired.
I miss the Final Fury rule from the old game that allowed you to return fire in the turn that you were destroyed to represent that it is all happening simultaneously.
He didn't use the crit card when his t34 was destroyed they just wanted to see what it was, technically it should have been placed back on top and his Panzer wouldn't have taken the 2 dmg engine crit card, bit of cheat there.

The Panzer IV should not have been able to shoot at the Sherman as long as the Panzer IV was behind the cromwell with his turret, a dead tank is a non see trough object as explained in the rule book
and if im not wrong a tank that has just lost all his lifepoints can still shoot back in the shooting phase. Atleast in the german rulebook on page 21 it says that only after the shooting phase you make clear which tank is destroyed, and it says that if both tanks are destroyed its a tie.
because i just bought the game and im trying to get the rules right but the rulebook leaves me with a few questions
So what are you guys thoughts on the differences between the new World of Tanks version of the game and the original Gale Force 9 Tanks game? A lot of the rules are the same, but they have added a few new ones and removed a few old ideas.

@@davidburton2229 they are primed with colored primer. The ones from the original game were molded in colored plastic but you had to assemble those. The ones for the WoT game come preassembled as well.

Camouflage net was big advantage
In round 2 why did the T47 get 6 dice for defense, at point blanch and on the side and soon after the Sherman shooting at the Cromwell, the Cromwell only got 3 defense dice not even being at point blanch?
Haven't gotten to that part yet, but your dice pool is gathered from a total of your tanks defense, your current movement speed,, the current movement speed of the shooter, cover, and any other bonuses that you have and then you subtract any negatives (like being shot from the side).
you guy's did some mistakes at the end of a round. You didn't roll for repairs and all the critical cards in the discard pile should be shuffeld back in the deck.
helas, can i use the Tanks cards and minis for the World of Tanks: Miniatures Game ?
They are basically the exact same game with a few very minor differences. No reason why you couldn't use the old stuff in the new game. The new ones have slightly different stats, but it shouldn't matter in the end. I did a video last fall about the differences between the two games and one comparing the models.
what wave do all the overpowered Russian paper tanks come out then?? How do WG charge for Gold ammo in a tabletop game? its got to be in the fine print somewhere.... The biggest question is How does this compare to GF9's Tank's? I mean its the exact same mini's is it not?

Why do they design games where you only have two tanks? Tanks work in groups of five or more, not singlely or in pairs. If you're company is at half strength or less they usually get pulled off the line. It's because companies that suffer those kind of losses usually run away. There are exceptions but they're not the norm. Plus they leave out the RPM difference between the tanks. Sherman's fire ten times the RPM a T34 does and 5 times the RPM of a PZ4. US Army studies also showed the Sherman was a better tank at 600 meters or less. Besides firing much faster, the Sherman's could acquire targets faster. It took a Pz4 a full minute to do a 360 degree rotation, Sherman's did 360 degrees in 15 seconds and at 600 meters the 75mm on the Sherman handled the Panzers just fine.

@@readhistory2023 Its not, its an arcade with a historical element. A lot of the tanks in the game were just blueprint design ideas and never actually made or saw battle.
Yep, this is a very abstracted beer & pretzels type wargame. Aimed very much at beginners, hence the pre painted models and easy to play rules.
How was this designed to have only two tanks? This is just a starter set. You can play with whatever number of tanks
