    How much cash does a company have, how much cash is it generating, does it have access to cash if it needs it and how much is it spending. If you run out of cash you don't have a business.

    a profit and loss isnt a snapshot - I would say a balance sheet is more the snapshot.

      Depends - here I am referring to the fact that the P&L is the story of only one year whereas B/S is the cumulative position to year end.
