This is my third time watching this and I took notes my goal is to became familiar with financial statements so that I can trade better long term wise. Thank for this information 💯
Great video ! Loved the fact that you didn't go too much into details. As someone who feels like a balance sheet is a bunch of hieroglyphics it's good to have a general overview of the matter. Thank you for this 🙏
If you can read all the financial reports of every company listed in your countries stock exchange and all the there history(Almost 10 year's history)and about all the management of these companies then you can earn upto 40 to 60 percent profit within 2 to 4 years because in stock markets you have to be fearless and patient 😉
It would’ve been helpful if as you went through each section, you analyze what we were looking at, and explain the plus and minuses of this financial statement. For rookies like myself, just understanding what the sections represent without an explanation of the actual statement and what we can deduce from it, is difficult to assess. Please make a video that looks at a statement like you did, and explains whether this company is worth investing in, or are there is reasons to hesitate taking an investment step.
Can you do a in depth video on each of the statements and breakdown on some examples from companies? You explain it so well would love to watch a more in depth video!

That's nice, it's interesting understand the different financial statement of a foreign country (I'm from italy). It would be awesome go further into this topic
This was almost too easy. English is not my 1st language so when the teacher was explaining it I was abit confused. But 11 minutes and I understand betetr. Thank you
The real question is do these figures really project the future of the company? We all remember how Tesla was struggling to keep up with their debts and the demands for the cars. But look at the outcome of the Tesla.
great video but not for newbies or amateurs, as the technical lingo and the lack of associated to simple examples makes it difficult to implant knowledge and understanding. great video for experienced financial professionals who needs a refresher
Not sure I understand how shareholders equity can be negative though I get that if liabilities are greater than assets then equity has to be negative just don't understand how that would look. You have shareholders equity which includes the market cap right? So how would the total equity be negative can you give an example
No, at the time this video didn't get many views, so we didn't go ahead with it. Since then it seems to have picked up a lot from search. We may put together the follow up videos. Thanks for watching. ~ Nicholas
Thanks for the video but I've been wanting to ask this question, can a company make a false financial statements about their company to attract investors? If so can you know or spot the lie in it?
the company i'm looking at says '30' for profit and loss account in 2016 and '(957)' in 2015. what does this mean? why is one bracketed? why is one so much higher than the other?
the two most important are income statement and balance sheet. Cash flow statement is important but if you can read the first two, you can pretty well decide if its an undervalued or overvalued investment.
Hello, can you please explain why figures in income statement are small numbers for ex- total revenue is just 4,751 and 3,975 ? is it in millions, billion? I never understood it. I mean Tesla’s a huge organization but these numbers are small. Moreover, for all the other companies income statement on yahoo finance are also like these. It would be great help.
It will usually be in millions, but it depends on the size of the company. Smaller businesses will often show it in thousands. It will usually say somewhere on the statement.
Forget fundamentals .. Just buy companies in uptrends and quit thinking your trade will cause a reversal. So hunting for “cheap” stock that’s in reality hasn’t had a higher low in years is a retailers game

The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham is an excellent book for long-term investing. Buffett calls it the best financial book ever written.

Your voice has a wonderful tone, very pleasant to the ears. You must be a baritone singer? Great content.
The more I learn the less I trade.. Thanks so much for helping me in my filtering process 🥺💕🙌🏾🇿🇦
That’s a really good take. I like that. I’ve done the same. I stopped doing so many trades and prefer to make fewer, but smarter, trades.
