@@teamexploringuk when I started work there, the foreman put me with a charge hand and said follow him like a lap dog and learn how to run all the machines in the plaiting department, I made a lot of friends there, a lot of Pakistani lads, who were hard working and good natured. I could write a book about TBA. Happy times.
@@teamexploringuk OK, good luck, thanks. My first wage after working a week in hand was£6 a week, for 40 hours, we were paid in cash, in a brown envelope, on a Thursday, I used to give it to my mother unopened, she used to give me £2 back. I was always skint by Tuesday. 💓.
