Please don’t quit I have learned so much from you in only a few videos. You are a big inspiration.
thank you so much for watching and supporting my journey this far ♥️
Hang in there . I am transitioning and had my first interview which took 2 years, 2 certifications, and a bootcamp. I’m still learning and I am happy I took this leap. I feel like you have so much potential and experience. Good luck to you. If you’re interested in a free virtual bootcamp 10 weeks long M-Th from 5:30-8:30. Sign up with TechBridge cohort. I learned Servicenow didn’t know what it was when I enrolled .
ServiceNow is a great technology to know. Good luck on your continued journey! ✨
I am experiencing the same thing... I have been trying to get into tech for the past year and I really feel like quitting and just take an admin role. Thank for your transparency.
As a revature trainee and non tech background the hob is frustrating (in a good mental way) for me but also great if I can just push myself more. Thanks and keep us updated.
Hello, are you taking the Revature training now?
I was also trying to transition into tech. I can somewhat relate to your story. After about 2 years, 1.5 of that was in a software engineering apprenticeship program, I finally made the decision about a month ago to just leave the tech field. I really struggled getting placed with a client and I struggled in interviews and whatever. Plus the anxiety and stress, etc. Now I’m in training for CDL and that’s definitely more my style anyways as I have many years experience in factories and warehouses.
The way I see it (and it seems you do too) is everything is temporary. We can always get back to tech if we choose to…but for now, we gotta work 🤷🏻♀️
Good luck, girl.
What is CDL?

Love your transparency. It’s so refreshing. Take some time and listen and feel what is for you boo ❤
thank you 💕
This was so real! I love your honesty. we’re all rooting for you sis! Life will happen as it should ❤
thank you 💕
Watched this and I got hurt, just started watching your videos today and I’ve been enjoying the smiles and the recordings you put together, I really hope you’re in a better place now, I’ll keep your notifications on and I’ll be here to celebrate you on your next video❤️
Tech is for you! I know it is unfortunate that things like this happen in the field. just know that the field is very vast and there opportunities for those who look for it. Don't give up! you will make it! It's okay to be sad about the situation.
I felt this. I working on transitioning to Digital Marketing and it’s been a ride. It’s been a year and feels like I’ve been learning, learning and learning and getting experienced but I’m not getting call backs for jobs. So now, I’m just going to focus on freelancing and try to go from there.
I believe that you will find your right path. ❤
Sam be with the revalued and skillstorm thing. I quit trying for tech a few days ago and it left me pretty devastated too. Hopefully better comes next.
I really wish you the best in your job search!
Im currently debating revature and skillstorm. So thankful to see this video now bc I wasn't aware of the non-competition clause. Im so heartbroken for you but appreciate you vulnerability through all of this. The depression monster is REAL but we will continue to drive through it. Im channeling your strength and endurance through this hellish time of trying to get an entry level position.

very much hellish. wishing you all the best on your journey! 💕
3 years ago i started learning to code. I went to a bootcamp. 8 months after completing my bootcamp i found a job with infosys which is a big tech company. I regret even joining them. I was fired after nearly 2 years on April 13, 2023. Working for them made me hate coding altogether. My drive and motivation plummetted. I was relieved that they fired me but now my future remains uncertain. I have no desire to find other programming jobs since they are extremely hard to get and i still suck at coding. Its scary to think about what you do in the past. You invest so much time and money to learn a skill only to find out that it might not be for you. I am currently looking at opportunities in UI/UX design but sadly i don't it is for me either :(
omg, i understand where you’re coming from. it really is scary to look back and see all you’ve invested into something only to realize it’s not for you. and then to look forward and try to decide where to go next. i truly feel like i’m just flailing about sometimes. i guess as long as we keep searching, we’ll find what we’re looking for. 🤍
Please don't give up!
Take care of your self and stay safe!
Hey, I'm in similar position. I'm currently in Skillstorm, and I'm barely passing.
I have a quiz on week 2 material, and I'm not completely sure if I can make it. Very discouraging for me because I gave up on being a developer about 5 years ago.
I thought I was ready after the long break, but I may consider other career options.
Being a developer has a lot of allure but there are many paths out there to choose from. I hope you've found what works for you. ✨
Do you mind sharing Recruiters that can help with job placement in these roles?!
i don’t have connections to any recruiters. but I try to make them during the application process! when applying to jobs, reach out to the recruiter or hiring manager on LinkedIn if you can find them. you can also try connecting with people in that company/role and see what insights they can give you. ✨
So how exactly does the non-compete agreement work? Does it even apply if you are furloughed or released by Revature? I've been banking on SkillStorm as my backup plan if Revature falls through, and now I'm not sure if that will be possible.
That would have to be discussed in more detail with someone at SkillStorm. I hope it all works out for you! ✨
I understand its hard becoming a engineer I completed a bootcamp and I’ve see people put in 600+ apps before they got their yes. It’s draining. Congratulations on your new job!
Hey I came across your videos and they are very informative! I know it seems like the world is crumbling around you and that there is no hope but do not give up! You got this! I don’t know if you are familiar with a coding bootcamp called Digital Crafts that can potentially be a good fit.
Just a calm word of advice as a believer in God myself, try to keep as much of your upcoming news to yourself - I know that is what your vids are about sharing your journey into tech and I'm sure one day you will get what you want but it's just too risky to share with people, sometimes even family (not like hubby or children) what your plans are with TOO much detail. Hope it all works out love
I kept hoping you would say you didn't give up and something good happened or you were at least not giving up because I need someone to tell me not to give up and it's so hard.
Don't give up I was discouraged a lot as well but i persevered and I got one.
It's been some time now. I hope you figured out what's best for you. Sending you love, Jay ✨
Are you allowed to apply jobs by yourself, not representing raveture or skills?
Keep your head up... sometimes a break is necessary to reassess what you really and realign yourself mentally emotionally.. take the time you need... and do the things that make you feel better
is it ok if you can tell me what was 4 video response questions, 1 coding practice and 2 logic-based games for skillstorm ?
I'm sorry that you didn't get the position that you wanted, but on the bright side it wasn't your lack of skill that caused you not to get it. The way I see it is that you are doing something right because you are able to land jobs. If you really believe tech is not for you that is fair. However, I see a woman with lots of potential and you will get the role you want eventually.
Best thing for you to do is to go God and ask what he wants you to do
I usually dont leave comments on youtube, but I came across your video. I thought I'll leave a comment because I am going through road blocks as well. I am honored that you shared your story and how courageous you are. Would love to connect on LinkedIn! Currently transitioning into UX design and I am currently from Atlanta. I've been told rejection is redirection. Don't give up but take breaks if needed! Subbing to keep in touch with your journey and let you inspire me as well!
thank you, tia! wishing you the best in your transition to design! 💕
Literally the same thing happened to me
With skillstorm cause i have dealt with revature. And now revature has furloughed most everybody. Over 150+ people. Its all a joke. Luckily i saw it all coming and had job set up already. Ill take the yr to hone my skills while working my background(science) and apply when im confident in my devops/coding skills.
its all over reddit their furloughing people. Was it done on one big zoom call?
@@hugovera1540 So how exactly does the non-compete agreement work? Does it even apply if you are furloughed or released by Revature?
Is this still happening? I’m set to start in January so I’m nervous about this being a possibility
