Lots of negative comments. Relax guys. Its just for fun, a challenge, a record. Of course its meaningless. And music is more than that. Still fun to see people push weird challenges tho.
The problem is that they don't pass the fraud check. This isn't anywhere close to 30 notes per second, and it's embarrassing that a guitarist as acclaimed as MAB would attempt to pass his playing off as if he could.
@biscobisco1882 released an entire video showing their process for reaching that speed and measuring it. The maths seems to check out for me when I use a calculator. Can you explain how it is fraudulent?

Black wind fire and steel… I have been looking for that song for 30 years but I remembered the lyrics wrong and didn’t know the band name so I could never find it. I only heard it once in 1994 as soon as he said the name I thought that must be the song….. I just listened to it for the first time in 30 years just as good as remembered it thank you for solving a mystery for me wow
I think this solidifies MAB as the fastest. I have been taking his lessons for over 15yrs. I’m no “speed demon” (think Chris Impellitteri), but my playing has improved dramatically
At least you can retrieve your guitar from the dumpster, if the garbage truck hasn’t taken it already. I, on the other hand, cannot retrieve my guitar when it’s nothing but ashes in the fireplace. 🔥🎸😂😂
@biscobisco1882 To me !!!! There's more to expressing oneself on guitar than just playing super fast!!!! Playing extremely fast is just one facet to playing ROCK guitar!!!! Melody, Hand vibrato, phrasing, whammy playing, finger tapping, pinch harmonics, natural harmonics, chordal voicings, playing slow, leaving pauses now and then !!! Being creative and original on guitar!!!! 🙂😀😃😀🙂
Amazing, maybe it's too much, but still, It's amazing... The solo of Dying Fetus, the treachery will die with you is pretty fast for me already... Thx for sharing this...
They're not even breaking 20 notes per second, never mind 30. Just because a couple of old coots play in unison with a sequencer backing track and make a wild claim in the title of a video, doesn't mean they actually got anywhere near it. All you need to do is slow the clip down to 25% and then tap out each note using a bpm detector.
They should make a recording, zoom it in the DAW, and show the oscillogram. In that way, you can see each string pluck and count them. Now it's just a showing off
@TheDominator1347 Yep. I'd love to hear an individual track from each guy on their own without the sequencer and the other guy's track cluttering the mix and covering all the notes they missed.
Not even close bro, I could get about 12. Going to practice a lot more now! Wow unbelievable! As always thanks Max, See you on the next one. I'd be up to see who can play the slowest?😂
I love speed, but it reminds me of the old Amadeus movie, where they go "It's just too many notes"...😂. I guess with me getting older, I'm way more into melody than anything else.

I actually own that course and it's great. It's not MABs fault that my Lambo is missing the engine.
