Goodford Model Railway Showcase 6. DB Cargo 60066 Drax Powering Tomorrow TEA Tank

I filmed this a while ago so thought I’d share. A few clips of the Hornby Class 60, specifically 60066, in DB Cargo “Drax Powering Tomorrow” livery pulling 18 TEA tank wagons. The wagons are a mixture of the 100T TEA tanks from Cavalex and Revolution trains.
The loco is fitted with an ESU LokSound V5 DCC Sound Decoder with sounds from LegoManBiffo. There was some need to modify the Class 60 coupling to pull this many wagons, it is a known issue with these Hornby locos. A simple fix of filing down the V stops the coupling from sticking when traversing.
All wagons and the loco have been fitted with hunt standard couplings however I needed to superglue the Revolution Trains couplings slightly out of the NEM socket to ensure the buffers didn’t rub and pull the wagons off (tightest curve is around 3rd to 4th radius).

As usual gorgeous layout, gorgeous rolling stock, GORGEOUS camera angles, SUPERB video!!
I MUST finally return to buying and thus expanding my OO-gauge collection purchasing diesel locomotives and freight rolling stock (and of course way more passenger sets) like those gorgeous tanker cars. Great job!
