I see what you mean but you can't go wrong buying the Happy Planner Punch and discs because you could make ANY kind of book you wanted, you would just have to cut them, punch them and put rings on them. That's why I like this so much. When I started buying planners I didn't come across this one first so I bought 2 Heidi Swapp ones which I love but these Disc Bound ones are genius.
Thanks for sharing this idea. I did something similar with my Happy Planner and ARC notebooks for my acrylic stamps. But I hadn't considered it for my stickers. I think I'll give my stickers and sticky notes an organizing overhaul with this idea!
Love this idea! I'm now using a binder from the Dollar Spot at Target and my old Franklin Covey pages to organize. So glad to get some use out of an old purchase. Thanks!
Great info, I so need to set something up similar. I have a ton of HP stickers plus lots of stickers from scrapbooking days, that were always out of sight. TFS. Jan
I just found this video tonight looking for plan organizations. I got a bit lost a couple of times, but just scrolled back and watched again. I just got into the planner community in September moved 2017, after a little brain surgery (I am fine, just have som concentration issues and a bit of brain to mouth word issues) . The issues make it necessary for me to write EVERYTHING DOWN!! I started out with the ARC, but found that the Happy Planner gave me more room to write. I am NOT a sticker user much, but do like the beautiful colors. I have 4 of the MAMBI sticker books and was looking for a better system than stuck in my desk drawer. Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind!! I like to see a few videos, before I attack a new project to get all the good ideas together before I start, so I don't later say, " I had known that!" Lol. I enjoyed this video and got several new ideas from you and some of the comments, And as for you comment about giving credit where credit is due, I follow Heather at Kellofaplan, and she did a video on this and said she was the first one to use th disk version of a sticker book. I think it is great you want to credit her. I will be subscribing to see what else you come upwith!!
I made one of thses but instead of cutting up a planner, I just used the happy planner notebooks, they are around 2inches wide and already punched!! Under $5 too. So anyone wanting to do this, you dont need to cut up a planner.
So I don't get it...what do you use the stickers for now? What I understood you saying is you don't use a planner now? I'm so confused lol. Outside of that LOVE LOVE LOVE sticker books!!!!! Esp yours!
This is a great idea to also recycle our planner pages one the month is up! What a great idea. I love the Happy Planner because I need lots of room--I have large handwriting and have lots of notes due to my jobs. :) But I love this idea for the planner sticker management :D
I've been looking to rehaul my sticker organization and this has given me some inspiration. Thank you. So, kind of a funny aside, I had a dream recently that I had gathered together all my favorite RUclipsrs and in it I made a specific announcement that, "TheSassyPineapple and Vegan Organizer are here." :)
i don't use functional planning stickers, just cheap decorative stickers i find at DT, so it isn't something i'd use; but i still LOVE the idea of keeping those back pages that have a pic of all the stickers you have! I love binder rings! anyone that uses this idea for their happy planner stickers NEEDS to know to keep those back pages. pure genius! as i was watching, i was also a lil weirded out that the christmas stickers were before the fall/halloween stickers, and i thought to myself, "why doesn't she just rearrange them?" but now i see that maybe you leave them that way so that it matches the back page. it would still hurt my OCD a bit, but i think it'd hurt my OCD either way. :P
The Extender Rings made my pages rip and bend up. So instead of buying the extender rings I would rather just use my medium rings and make my own planner or sticker book because I have extra rings and the punch so I could make a totally different book entirely. I LOVE the way you used the dashboards for this because I don't get what they are for because all they are, are like dividers but smaller.
I shared this option for those who don't have a punch and as a way to repurpose the HP pages. I used my dashboards for sticky notes & lists that wouldn't fit on my pages. Because I love sticky notes. And lists. LOL
I have some stickers that are alot bigger and wider than the Dashboards so I guess I could either make more than one sticker book and find a divider or something for the front and back if I can find one. I just thought about this but I could take one of my own Happy Planners and put the stickers on the front and back of copy paper and use the Extender rings that are in my old planner.
I'm sorry for all the comments but I'm new at this and I feel stupid for asking but what are you suppose to do with the page of stickers that have small dots, hearts, arrows, flower, flags, stars & arrows? I don't really like the decorated boxes, I would rather have them all be lined but anyways I do not have nothing to plan because I never go anywhere and I don't have any friends, I have no one to hang out with and I'm not exaggerating, I just hate leaving my house and only leave to go to the doctor. When I was younger you couldn't keep me in the house but I don't like to be around a bunch of people. So anyways I have OCD and that is why I purchased 7 different planners and now I feel dumb because I have nothing to plan and when I think about it, I get tense and freaked out and then I have a panic attack so I had to tell myself "that it's my book and I can do whatever I want with it" and so I'm just going to decorate all the pages with all my pretty stickers. I have birthdays to write down but that's it and I have the Pink Rose Horizontal one so there is alot of space to write weekly view and I LOVE that so I'm either going to use it like a diary, or about my day and write quotes in it and just decorate it. It's hard for me to make a decision but I finally made one. I just kind of feel stupid for getting these planners just to decorate them. I don't know. I'm sorry for going on and on about me and my problems because I know people don't want to hear about that especially people I don't know. I just really want to make a sticker book that looks like yours.
You use them to accentuate your planning. For instance, if you don't have an ombré heart checklist or a long vertical checklist, you can use the dots or even the arrows or asterisks to make your own checklist. Very useful if you don't have a kit for that week. Use the arrows to pinpoint exactly when you want to do something. Also, don't get overwhelmed. Just go with the flow and eventually you'll get the hang of it. :)
Niki, I love your idea of using your planner as a diary type thing. I also don't have a very busy life, but I love my planner. For your extra planners you could maybe use them for different themes. Like, if you like to cook, you could keep a log of recipes you tried and your review. Or reviews of favorite tv shows or movies you watch along with themed stickers. One could even be a planner for art projects or diy projects you'd like to try. Or you could decorate one based on weird holidays that no one pays attention to, like National Pancake Day or Earth Day. Maybe these ideas sound a little lame, but sometimes we just want an excuse to be creative, which is the point, after all. Anyone can set up reminders on a cell phone, but that's no fun. Good luck!
***** Why don't you come make me calm down and call me a freak to my face because it is not my fault that I have disorders, obviously you know nothing about. Does calling me a freak make you feel better?
I know this thread is ancient but omg I understand that situation completely. I have disorders and no social life and have been struggling with this exact issue! Its kind of a relief to know that someone else has experienced this
Thank you so much for showing your sticker organization! You did an amazing job!!! My problem with the stickers I have bought/accrued over the last year and a half is that they are all from Etsy. Some of the shops are moving toward making sticker sheets that fit in a personal size planner, some use sheets about the size of 1/2 sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" paper (but a bit smaller), and I have a few whole sheet pages. I don't know how to organize them into one permanent place. I've seen videos use the Happy Planner 1/2 pocket diagonal folders for their Etsy stickers. But, honestly, it still looks like an inefficient way to store and look for a particular page of stickers. Do you think my only option is the card stock + glue method? I'd appreciate any thoughts/ideas you might have! I watched your compare/contrast of the Happy Planner storage bag and the Orla Kiely (sp?) bag yesterday and loved it! I have the HP version and will definitely be adding the OK. So, thank you for that video! 😉
I LOVE my orla kiely's I have 2 different the larger one comparable to happy planner bag, but best quality you wouldn't believe. And the toiletry bag smaller I'm not 100% sure on name. But I can get and show if you want.
I appreciate that! :) My opinion is that I want my stickers super easy to see and use. Pulling them out of page protectors in a binder or photo album is no bueno for me - easy to see & flip but not easily accessible. (I feel I've tried it all). This is by far my favorite. You could use this same paper & glue method with a large (8-1/2x11) or small (5x8) 3 ring binder. I also am loathe to cut sheets apart because I like everything a uniform size with like things together, but you could consider that. I know! What a terrible problem we have! LOL
+TheSassyPineapple I know, two adults collecting stickers like kids!!! I have so many, but still buy more. Quite often, I try a "no buy stickers" month. It never happens!!! Thanks for your help/opInions about organizing them. I agree with you 100%. Love your videos! 😍
Hey, I want to make a book like that but I'm so indecisive and I HATE it. I don't want to mess up the ones that are 30 packs and I can't cut straight even with a paper trimmer. Did you measure the paper to fit the stickers exactly or did you measure them for the size of the dashboards? Did you leave any space at all? It doesn't look like it and yours looks so good. Please let me know. Sorry to keep bugging you. Niki
Yeah, I've been doing this so long that I'm not sentimental about my planners. If I am, I can just look in-between the two front & back sticker sheets haha.
I feel the same about not being that sentimental about my planners/planner pages. I like things to be functional, colorful, and engaging but I also try to be realistic about how/what I'm trying to do with my planner and planning pages. Really enjoyed this video BTW. It popped up as a suggestion and I'm glad I found your channel now.
Wow! I love you stickers book, they look gorgeous. But what happened that you stopped using your happy planner? If it's something you don't want to share, I'll understand. I also want to know what is your method to buy all of these mambi stickers (since I'm not from US)_do you buy them 40%off in Michael's when they are released? How much are they?
I never, I repeat NEVER, pay full price. ;-) I have bought them all over time (the past 1-1/2 years) for at least 40% off. The Planner Basics come with either 5 or 6 sheets of stickers for $4.99 and the Value Packs are $19.99 for 30 pages. Still a bargain, but I have to use a coupon haha.
Oh yeah, I'm sorry but I meant to ask you about different stickers that aren't by Mambi, should I put them in my book because they are way smaller. I made all my pages based on the dashboards.
I want to try to make a sticker book but scared I will mess it up because I just got in the mail today my second Mambi 30 Sheet Pack of stickers and I love that they have a rubber band at the bottom to hold them together and If I rip them out then I won't be able to use it and I will be made if I can't make the sticker book and can't use the little band.
I just found & added the last Planner Basics pack, so I have 50 pages (100 sticker sheets front & back) + 2 sticky notes dashboards + 2 washi packs (6 pages each) + 2 clear dashboards on one set of discs = GRAND TOTAL of 56 pages on the discs (100 sticker sheets, 2 sticky notes pages, and 12 washi sheets sandwiched between 2 clear plastic dashboards). Whew! :D The cover is still not popping up, so this bad boy can hold a ton! (I added this info to the description ^^^ since it was unclear in my video. Thanks for the great question!)
+TheSassyPineapple ok I finished my first book today. I got all four of the thirty page value packs into the one book. I used card stock to place the sticker pages on (I don't have a happy planner, I gave away the remaining 6 months of my old Erin Condren or I probably could've used that) anyways that was 120 sheets of stickers so ... 60 pages, plus I have three dividers in it to keep the four packs separate and then also have a happy planner cover I cut down to fit the book as well. There's a teeny tiny bit of uplift on the cover because of all the pages, but not enough to be noticeable at all. I found that I was a bit annoyed with the season value pack like you were and rearranged it to start with spring, then summer, then fall and ended with winter. :) Next up is to do a book or two full of all my planner basics packs from the past two years. :)
Love it! My Hobby Lobby finally got the last of the newest Planner Basics pack and one more Value Pack over the weekend. Now I just need the last Value Pack and my collection is complete! (until November haha)
I'm sure you could. The regular HP only comes with 9 discs, so you could buy another pack and either add more holes or let the excess part of the page hang from the top & bottom.
Did you punch holes in them. I don't understand how to do it. Do you glue it to piece of planner paper so it will already be punched? Cuz I got the punch.
I don't know how you got this to stay without any wear and tear of the punched side (the left side from the front) of the paper. I tried this and first of all, the sticker pages kept peeling up from off the planner page aka the backing (I did the same thing you did!). All of my glue sticks are terrible so I need to remember to get either double sided tape or those glue/tape dispensers that you just roll on the page to apply! Second, of all, the wear of it got so bad, the holes wouldn't even hold the paper in the rings. So I ended up having to remove all the pages from the rings. Also to keep the integrity of the paper from going completely bad, I had to trim off the punched holes so now I have to start over! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
TheSassyPineapple Hey, you don't have to apologize, I watched your video like 6 times and seen that you did use a dashboard in the back, but I appreciate you responding and telling me.
I bought one for $1 at Dollar Tree. A picture of it is on my IG. It is half the size of a Happy Planner. I just didn't need that much space now that I am an empty nester - at least until December. :)
Ok, I understand organizing stickers..and making a sticker book....however I'm so confused as to the goal here ...i will keep watching and hopefully get clarity....from the title....sounds like a planner/sticker book in one....and why cut the planner paper? is that really necessary u could just punch the sticker sheet...
The stickers are for use in her current 'Happy Planner'. She is using old pages from an old planner to make a storage system for her stickers. So as she works in her new planner she can easily see and use her stickers.
There are lots of great ideas and tutorials out there. It really depends on what you like and your resources. You can always cut some down & add others to paper/cardstock to make them the same size. Personally, I prefer the ring punched and accordion files over the page protectors, file system, and photo albums.
Hi, thanks for your comment. I prefer the same as you and since I don't have a clue as to what to do with the dashboards, I have a reason for it now, to keep my stickers in it. I guess I could just cut the papers/inserts the same size as the dashboards and then tape my stickers on the paper back and front. And if some don't fit then I will just put them in my storage case and others will be smaller but I guess I can handle that. I have OCD so it's hard for me to make decisions and I HATE it. It drives me crazy because everything has to fit right and be perfect but I'm going to try it. Maybe it won't bother me if I keep the pages the same as the dashboards. We'll see. But thanks for replying.
TheSassyPineapple I agree, I think it's genius whoever thought this up. I'm 41 and I get excited because I can tear a page out and put it right back in. I love that because you could make any kind of book you wanted. What are accordion files? Is it like this folder thing that has three pockets that hang down from each other to keep stuff separated? Sorry I'm dumb and new to all this.
Just so you know I don't know where you got for $40 but mambi's are $25 I believe if you have ever paid full price, I have never paid more than $15 I believe. I have 2 regular size and one of the large. Just wanted you to know, I think you were overcharged because Michaels you can get with 50% off and hobby lobby 40%.
I'm trying to make one but mine looks junky and they are NOT straight, yours look like you could have bought it like that. I took a page out of my old Happy Planner and made it into a template then I marked a bunch of pages and cut them with a paper trimmer but mine are just not turning out like yours. I used double sided tape and that was a disaster so I used a glue stick and that seemed way better because you can position the pages better.
Gosh! Such a nice idea if only you could keep it under 5min... Almost ½ hour explaining your concern over 'binders'? Is there nothing else that 'really' 'bothers' you? Or 'worth' or are 'waste during' in this Earth? Sorry, couldn't follow to the end and not coming back...
Well gosh! Is there anything nice you can say? Do you normally talk to people this way? This is sad and unnecessary. You knew how long this video was before you started watching it.
Angela Fernanda Christensen Gama I wonder why someone would spend almost 30 mins listening to something they don't like. The picture are pretty clear. I move on when things are not of interest.
Hey! FYI : Michaels sells Happy Planner. I got my 9 puncher for less than $15 with a 55% of coupon! 👍🏻👏🏻🙌🏻
I have been giving my extra stickers to my local library. They are very happy to have them. They use them for their children's programs.
Thanks!
Thank you so, so much for sharing this in such wonderful detail, I just made two stickers books for myself! I love, love, love them!
It's been said before, but you can buy a Happy Planner 9 hole puncher at Michaels, and with a coupon can be quite cheap.
OMG what a great idea!! There are many pages that I haven't used...I will take this idea! Thank you for sharing
Great info, I so need to set something up similar. I have a ton of HP stickers plus lots of stickers from scrapbooking days, that were always out of sight. TFS. Jan

I was able to find a disc hole punch at a thrift store for just dollars. Yay!!
It’s the large heavy duty one but I just marked on there where it would be for the classic happy planner and the mini
I love your idea here! It looks so nice and organized but I would of liked to actually see you do a page! Thanks you for sharing!
Love that idea ❤😊

Ok, now I want these stickers just so I can make a book like yours!!! LOL
I totally get it. They literally make my happy! :D
Great idea to recycle your HP and organize the stickers. New subbie and fellow planner and crafter. Hugs :)

Thanks! Me too! And I know you get the sticker obsession. LOL
TheSassyPineapple
Oh, I so totally do!! :))
So you cut up the books that you worked on for a year just to store stickers to use again in another book you will cut up in the future?
One man's trash is another man's treasure. Someone else might actually like them. People have different preferences.

I'm the same way with the Washi. I LOVE it but I forget that I have a whole box of it because I don't have it right beside me.
Yep, me too. I've moved some into my HP bag & that's what I use first because I can see it. #plannerproblems :D
Love this idea! How many pages can you get in one book?
+TheSassyPineapple Thankyou! I am tackling this project this evening! 😁
Next up is to do a book or two full of all my planner basics packs from the past two years. :)
Love it! My Hobby Lobby finally got the last of the newest Planner Basics pack and one more Value Pack over the weekend. Now I just need the last Value Pack and my collection is complete! (until November haha)
Amazing !
Nice video! I like it
Will somebody PLEASE do a video on how they made their sticker books. I bought mambi one but I can't get them on straight.
Can you put other tall sticker packages in these book? . It seems as if this would help with trying to store and organize them Thank you.
I'm sure you could. The regular HP only comes with 9 discs, so you could buy another pack and either add more holes or let the excess part of the page hang from the top & bottom.
Great idea! thanks for sharing😊👍🏽. The Video was really, really long though. I just skipped to the flip through to be honest.
you did a good job
Lollipoper42 washi tape the edge of the paper and repunch. It makes it sturdy
I made one:) TFS
Hi, sorry for all the different comments but I was wondering if you use a dashboard on the back? Is it the same color as the first one?
Yes, I apologize that was not more apparent. I have the blue transparent dashboards from the pack on the backs of each.
TheSassyPineapple Hey, you don't have to apologize, I watched your video like 6 times and seen that you did use a dashboard in the back, but I appreciate you responding and telling me.
Flip through the sticker book
Hi, what if some stickers are longer or wider or shorter?
i did this with mine but i didnt cut them down... well now i have a new project to rework XD
ok, I am confused. You use the stickers but do not use a planner? Wait ! What am I missing here?
P.S. So you won't use your family planner anymore, or you just switching it to something else?
I bought one for $1 at Dollar Tree. A picture of it is on my IG. It is half the size of a Happy Planner. I just didn't need that much space now that I am an empty nester - at least until December. :)
Where are the sticker from?
Ok, I understand organizing stickers..and making a sticker book....however I'm so confused as to the goal here ...i will keep watching and hopefully get clarity....from the title....sounds like a planner/sticker book in one....and why cut the planner paper? is that really necessary u could just punch the sticker sheet...
The stickers are for use in her current 'Happy Planner'. She is using old pages from an old planner to make a storage system for her stickers. So as she works in her new planner she can easily see and use her stickers.
she doesn't own the HP punch, and uses up old pages
Planner (planning time) or white space? Plan activities and responsibilities as needed. White space? --...rest, downtime, or make productive, somehow,
Where did you get your dashboard covers from?
Jaime Scott Michaels has them in a package of three dashboards. Sorry but I don't remember the cost.
I think with all of those stickers, you are pretty "invested" in your happy planner.
My stickers are ALL different sizes so what do you do about that?
Niki Reynolds It stretches out and has a pleated bottom, usually with an elastic closure.
TheSassyPineapple I'm sorry but what does?
Just so you know I don't know where you got for $40 but mambi's are $25 I believe if you have ever paid full price, I have never paid more than $15 I believe. I have 2 regular size and one of the large. Just wanted you to know, I think you were overcharged because Michaels you can get with 50% off and hobby lobby 40%.
I was quoting full prices of the 2 punches. I always buy on sale or use coupons. :)
I've never seen a Value Pack at my Hobby Lobby! What the what?????
I know! Mine is slow to get them & then they go fast. I had the best luck going toward the end of the week.
princesslane2009 the 2 hobby lobby told me they usually stock up every thursday afternoon so u might wanna try friday early morning, best luck 😉
thank you! Good looking out!
I can't believe you don't save your journals
it would have been nice if I could have heard you
Nice idea overall, but this video was waaay to long! Maybe keep it under 5 min next time.
Omg...
I'm sorry but very confusing
The picture and title...
What an arse
i did this with mine but i didnt cut them down... well now i have a new project to rework XD
