The tone you can get from these is insane. I absolutely love it! Also, mad props to Will for those crazy jumps I know that I can't do. Great stuff, guys! If you guys could release sheet music of what Will played, that would be really cool. If it's not copyrighted, I'd like to make an arrangement using the melody. Thanks for this vid, guys!

Oh man, that is so great! Isn’t it wonderful that thanks to Wessex we now have not only one but TWO compact, great sounding tubas to use in a variety of environments? Wow! I purchased a slightly used Wessex Tornister Tuba in C a couple of years ago primarily to use for jazz and I absolutely LOVE it! I’m certainly interested in the new jazz tuba… hmmm, I guess now I’m “Torn-mister!” What a great comparison video! Great job!

Bell foward design definitely has a bigger sound. Both are awesome horns. I know I love mine!

I think Howard Miyata was the person who loaned an upright model to a friend, who then brought it to a tuba quartet rehearsal in about 2016. Fun. Would love to see jazz version with a packable bell, though.

😂Why did everyone decide that this was a jazz tuba?
