- This great song which was released in 1970 was the theme tune for the film and the series.. This one made it to number 1 in the UK charts.. This was a series that i always enjoyed myself which ran from 1972 to 1983, and the series was a spin off from the film that was released in 1970.. Thanks for watching... Carl

I remember watching MASH so many times in the 70s as a teen on the other side of the world but the words to this song never left me. Haunting as they are they actually have both meaning and paradox. This brings back so many memories both great and painful. At 65 plus now I'm passed caring but it reminds me of home a place I'll never return to. Thanks for posting this. An appreciative fan of the channel.

didn't realize how PRIVILEGED we were to travel and learn about what the future held for this country and the world.
This show is relevant today to the kids because they. have to learn to make happy moments to survive this upside down world they're living in.

this song brings back so many lovely memories I remember watching the very last episode of M*A*S*H

@@TheOldrecordclub I assume your from Great Britain. BTW my ancestors came from mainly Scotland, England and the Netherlands. They all arrived to the States before 1730. So my family has been here for almost 300 years, which makes my family young compared to your family being in the United Kingdom for probably 600 years or more. Again thanks all your videos over the years.
@@usmc-veteran7316 Yeah my family are mainly from the UK, but i have family in many parts of the world, my late mother was of Hungarian Roma decent, but her family came to the UK many years ago via Ireland from Hungary.. I'm speechless right now my uncle he used to watch Mash I think it was every Sunday night I was a little guy I was born in 1969. I remember sitting on his shoulders and we will act like we were in the movie theater and watch Walt Disney and mash and I remember this song but I never listened to the lyrics until today my uncle attempted suicide by asphyxiation. I was at least 11 years old when this happened now that I hear this song I realize my uncle was in so much pain I love you Uncle Odell❤

Yes indeed, I think one of greatest TV shows, ever.. Sadly, we are losing many of our great Veterans to Suicide of late..I think they are saying numbers of 80 per day??? Such a shame.. Great song this is, however.. Needs to play..I have put it up a few times, i think! I have 3 Disc Jockey Singles, actually! I play quite often, it is an important song, from quite an era, but even still today..Thanx for the

Well, this tune and fabulous video takes me right back to when I was an avid fan of the series 'Mash' .... such a great cast with Alan Alda, Mike Farrell and Loretta Swit, old hot lips lol!! Carl I didn't know you had another channel 2 where I listened and watched Kate Bush singing that great song "Runnin' up that hill" and that incredible dance. I can't believe i am still in the UK, and am just hoping this virus thing clears off real soon so i can go back to the Philippines.. Yeah i have been watching on TV all about president Trump, i know he's not popular with everyone, but i quite like him, i think he does his job well, his love for his country is quite obvious to me, and he really does put his country 1st, which in my eyes is what a leader should do, and our current prime minister Boris Johnson is a similar type of leader i think, and of course he has also had the virus..
