I’ve heard these stories 100x because I listen to basically everything Mat puts out. But, hearing his story about coming back from injury is something I really needed today. This is the first year I have ever really trained to run and I’ve made a ton of progress. I sprained my ankle this weekend during a Spartan race and I’m 2 months away from doing the Beast. I’ve been beating myself up about it the last couple days. But, now I am going to do what I can to come back and even if I hobble the whole time, I’m gonna hobble like nobody has ever seen. lol. Thanks for reminding me what’s important, Mat! Great interview!

Mat loves hearing himself tell the same stories over and over

Fraser was a hell of an athlete and competitor, I only wish that when he did these interviews he would tell or give more to the stories we have all heard time and time again.

It's interesting because TTT just put out a video with Travis and he said he is learning now down the line that not having the fun is what causes the biggest issues for him. It's one of those things are is intriguing. Would allowing yourself those minor joys or fun have ruined your chances or enhanced them? That is a tough question that I could see why Mat took the knuckle down side and focused. You don't want to sit back and think was it that 1 night out that had me at 2nd again or miss your spot at semifinals, etc.

Fraser has done at least 10 interviews just like this one. Why would you consider interesting to interview him again, already 4 years into retirement? I don't think he's relevant anymore and his athletes are not winning to many competitions either.

he’s not relevant, yet you’re talking about him…?

Fraser is still very relevant, just not as a competitor
