The C & D is an awesome "shortcut" from Annapolis to Lewes (I live across the bay in Cape May, NJ) and yes, the current there in the canal can be helpful (or your enemy).

Totally agree, the canal saved us so much time! Thankfully the current was only our enemy for an hour or two. 🙏🏼

Thank you!! Our insurance policy allows us to be anywhere North of Florida, but everyone’s policy is different.
