Nice job playing less notes, Ruby! Would have been better with 0 notes
(since I hate when people are actually rude I want to clarify this comment is satire ❤)
To paraphrase Ronan Keating, "He plays it best when he plays nothing at all."
still won't be as good as John Cage, but he's definitely capable
Ouch! Nice burn 🔥
Your turn Rudy 😁

you strike the perfect balance between goofy guitar shitposts and genuinely beautiful content. keep up the great work man
Its like a musty humus, smells bad but tastes good.
yes this one was quite goofy indeed
a very confusing balance, sometimes i dont know when hes being serious or when its a shitpost

The most heartwarming video. That's that everyday life I adore, when you can just sit and improvise, listening to your mood and experimenting with favourite licks and techniques. It feels very real. Not just "Oh, he's cool", more like "He loves music as much as I do. It feels like home". I wouldn't mind if it was longer. I love it.
Never let the terrible meme videos distract from the fact that this man can play guitar very well and is versatile.
He can play guitar?
Silly, George D
tf is a guitar
That's not a bass?
He possesses the proprieties of both goofiness and good taste
Fantastic improv my guy. I love your style and approach. Your dynamics are very pleasing as well(that’s hard to do).
I must agree. I have to, literally.
Now that you mentioned it and I started to specifically listen for it, that use of dynamics is really spot on. Soft when needed, louder when needed.
my teacher used to say "play something that people could potentially sing to", something that rersembles a melody. I think playing less notes also translates to a melodic solo or whatever it's called. The opposite of mindless bubbles
Yeah, mine asked me to sing what I was soloing, it gave for better, more cohesive melodies. Great exercise when you're new at improvising!
And cohesive, singable melodies are fine. But so are crazy, totally unsingable solos that are flurries of 16 notes, flurries of 5ths, 6ths, and 7ths. Listen to Guthrie Govan sometime, and tell me you can't (and shouldn't) do both. If we limited musical expression to, "Can we sing it?", we'd still be using single note bows and basic flutes of ancient times, hahahah
@@SamBrockmann both our anecdotes refer to teachers teaching improvisation to a beginner in the craft, Guthrie Govan is clearly not the best place to start with lol
@@ClaraDeLemon , I think you missed the point I was making then. Obviously you don't start with Guthrie Govan. But the point is, Guthrie is an example of a player who can do both the things I described.
@@SamBrockmann of course, I agree with you completely, it's just I think you were mistaken in assuming we consider all fast, jumbly solos as bad, instead of just hard to make and needing of care and attention
unironically very nice to listen to and it kind of takes you on a journey. it's nice, rufdy
Leaving that note there and not doing a fresh take just added +100% to your "coolness" levels Mr Rudy! You rock! 😁🤘
i love how real this video is to be honest.
You get a call, you look at your Phone
You play a note, that you seemingly didn't expect, you laugh
Awesome melody!
Plus the mid solo B-string tuning
very nice playing Rode Adobe!!
can't even write an ironic comment becuase this was really pleasant to listen to
Bro the dynamics were beautiful, so inspiring. Thanks for sharing Rudy.
This is a bomb for me at least! Love the style, the movement and ideas! Keep it up, Rudy!
Lovely playing and phrasing throughout, Rudy!
This is so good Rudy. So clean, soothing and melodic. I can listen to this and jazz all day.
Dude, your knowledge on the guitar fret makes your music so pleasant to listen to, Rudy, I hope you keep posting stuff, because that's very inspiring.
Thank you very much Rudy!
I have to deal with a lot of different kinds of stress at the moment and this helps the most to calm down before work.
Beautiful as always❤❤❤
This minimalistic technique is great - my ears didn't bleed as much as when you played before.
Someone once said - the song is ready when there's no notes anymore that can be removed. This one was a good one. Many of us lead players should remind ourselves that the lead guitar is actually supposed to 'sing' a melody or something that's supposed to attract the listener. most of us just wank off scales (including myself quite too often) :_)
I could listen to you improvise the whole day.
This is freaking beautiful!
this brought a tear to my eye rudy. ily.
That was very good, very smooth, thank you!!
your memes are shadowing your talent mate
Love it, Rudy. Great music 👌
I think that was beautiful, why is every guitarist so in a rush when they play, it’s not about how many notes you play but how much you make each note mean.
I like how the shockwaves you produce with your tool hit my eardrums :)
Godlike levels of feel, tact, respectfulness, and even honor.
That tuning correction mid-song cracked me up. Good job dude.
The space between notes is almost more important than the notes themselves 🙌
THIS is a professional musician. Just outstanding.
Beautiful sound with soft and low notes. Love your programmes. ❤✌🏽👍❤️🌹😘
Simple but effective - nice. Hope you're doing alright, man!
especially after what happened :'(

That's actually gorgeous man !
Nice reverb on the cough, i really felt the emotion on that one
Very beautiful sound, my man
Wow this sounds beautiful bro
My fave so far
Beautiful improv Man
Have you ever analyzed how your ethnic background affects your note choices etc? I honestly wonder how much that effect diminishes the further one educates oneself on music theory, or does it just come more controlled? This could be asked for any background but from a west vs east POV it's interesting, even without discussing microtonality, specific nationalities with really distinct music.
The way I see it, learning music theory just teaches you to put a name to different sounds.
I think of it like a child with a box of 64 crayons. Would a child who learned the names of all the colors use them differently than a child who didn’t?
I don't think that you can noticably inherit your musical expression, I think it's almost totally built from all the music you've heard throughout your life. So basically it's ethnic in a cultural way, but most likely not in a genetic way.
You might say that the assumption itself is stupid that you could inherit the way you play music, but I think it's not for the same reason you inherit your attitude, personality and even traumas. So technically I'd say it's possible that you inherit music related things too but not so prominently.
I can only bring up my example - I'm Hungarian and we have very distinct folk music (it's absolutely more Eastern than Western), but as time progresses along with popular culture, people listen to folk music less with every generation. Ever since beat and rock music has been around, usually there is little to none influence from our folk music to the new music genres. On the other hand, for me personally I am in touch very much with traditional music, because I grew up listening to many of them (my father is a musician). So my conclusion is that if you were born an Arab in the USA but never listened to Arabic music during your childhood/life, nobody would tell about your musical world that you are an Arab.
It's weird, it's like I can feel what u were thinking while playing. Keep the dream alive my friend.
Love you Mr. Adobe!
Great playing man.
More like focusing on the more important notes to pronounce or invoke the chord's function or intention, awesome sound !
I enjoyed this one 👾
sounds beautiful brother
Beautiful
That was beautiful, homie.
I always love space in improvising.
Really love that run at 1:36
we love you rudy
pretty nice!🤩
Best Adobe Premier commercial I've ever seen. Good job, Ruby!
FYI I used a click counter and by clicking each time you picked I counted 478 notes. Now say thanks for my 100% watch time, you're welcome. ;)
Most pleasing
This song reminds me of old western movies where the lone weary traveller rides slowly towards the sunset :) awesome song!!!
great stuff
nice music Rudy, greetings from Brazil o/
Noticed the picking shift towards the bridge as mentioned in your short towards the end
I like that you have freestanding monitors AND nice headphones

Great job Ruble Aduble!
the Cminor scale is very romantic if done right, and Sir you have killed it. Big fan btw.
isnt i Aminor?
That was almost funny. Keep it up Rudy!
Well deserved sub.
Imagine you're a great guitarist, you play everyday somewhere, you do it for years and years, you become sick of everything, and then one night in this you're tired... That's where the soul of less notes playing comes. It's not something you decide because you have to, but because you need to.
Bravo!
You know you are a true blues player when you spend half of the time tuning the instrument
Smooth! 😎😎😎
Dreamy bluesy sound. Rudy you make a steel string sound like a classical guitar way cool🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥
1:05 - 1:10 Juz Hits My Heart ♥️, I Thought The Last One Was Good, This Is Even Better.
@Rudy_Ayoub., Well..., It Sounds Like, Something That Latches On To Your Heart , Picks Up Some Heart Fibres ( strings I guess) & Keeps Plucking It Again and Again.
Ahhhh..unchanging mid range one step tempo full track solo😌👏👏
Love that little lick at one 1:07

A couple of gatecrashers at the party, but they helped make it fun and so beautiful. Props to you for letting them stay!
