My first track day since I broke my collarbone last September. First time on that track in 1 year time. It is a fast track for the SMC R but anyway the bike is truly a jack of all trades and handles it well. You may not break lap time records but you surely have fun!
We made a lot of mistakes in that run (it was our 2nd round for the day) but it was fun and the adrenaline was high! Looking forward to going back there and riding again :)

The bike is only as good as the rider. I was racing a 900 back in the 80s at Oran Park, and this enduro 360 passed me like I had stopped! He went on to win the race. It was so light he could throw it around everywhere. The sound of the moto reminded me. Great clip.

its not cat and mouse at all the bmw rider has half the skill of the super moto an only needs to trun his wrist and the race is over (but has no bottle for it)
1 third of the power and only 100lb lighter... not even a chance is hell ktm 120 mph and 200 mph of the bmw. this is just 2 blokes making a youtube video
never rode supermote, but looks like ridiculous fun. Interesting for me to see the different line followed by each bike.

Supermotos corner hard as fuck, especially on tight tracks. Thats why most of the top ten moto gymkhana finishers are on supermotos or NSR, which were designed by a motocross engineer

I race two and four wheels..... I run balls out like I'm on fire no matter what.......my opinion is they are both unsure and holding back. but let me tell you my ktm is a FN beast through the turns but my GSXR is a death machine, leaves the pocket like a wet dream (yes both are modded like a nerds iphone) should be an awesome race when these two are more comfortable..........GO FORTH AND DRAG LEATHER MY FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!

Not surprising, when the BMW got on it the sumo was left in the dust. The sumo almost biffed it trying to late brake past the bimmer on that last lap. The bimmer is also on stock suspension with probably slightly harder compound tires. On a tighter track the KTM would've had the advantage.

1st track day after 1 year off the track + last kart track I had broken my collar bone, so... I was riding easy. S1000R was his 2nd attempt at this race track, he didn't know lines

I don't care if the guy on the 1000cc rode badly and could have won it by a lap, the ktm just looks nicer. :D

The original motard is a motocross bike made to supermoto spec.. my buddy has a 690 it's a fat slag of a bike a 450f mx bike set up right would eat it!!
Jo Ski on a go kart yes but not on the road or on a bigger track.
Nice video but the guy on the BMW has definitely to learn about lines, entering and exiting corners, braking, etc... He should take some lessons instead of riding randomly like that. I am sure he would have much more fun once he is aware of all that theory. Cheers!
Can you ride long trips with a supermoto like ktm 690 or husky 701? About 2000km in two weeks i mean. From Finland to Monaco and back.
+Ossi Ossila You can do it but it's not the best bike for this. Many people change the stock seat of the Enduro so they could travel long distances without their butt getting squashed and also raise the steering wheel bar for less back pain. Anyway, if you want to do it you can, just stay out of highways.

Ossi Ossila I have done over 800 km in one day on my ktm690, and that was after I flew 2 hours south to pick it up and ride it home. keep in mind that was all paved roads and I regularly do 1600km iron butts on my sport touring bike. even off road it's easy to do 300+km a day on the 690
cool vid+ ktm guy is just a far better rider. bmw guy is sloppy about staying on the racing line and also brakes way to early
It was fun to watch. Thenk you. They lap around 1.44. At Serres this is a decent lap time nothing more. The fast laps are below 1.35. They do not know the track specially the buddy with the BMW. Yes with the supermoto I lap around 1.38-1.40 (not this particular ride). Can probably go to ~1.35 if I put some track tyres like Pirelli Supercorsa SC and do some more track days. With Superbike I'd lap ~1.30-32's but fast times start below 1.30 and below 1.25 it's racers territory. However with the 70 hp supermoto all the time I make in braking and corner speed so it is fun
It not depends on the tyres. A good rider can even ride with touringsports tyres much faster than this.
Of course we are no Pros and this is just for fun.
But you need a professional instructor.
The lines and the body position is partly bad and I think you trained it by yourself and learned it wrong..
You can ride faster and more relaxing with a better technique.
