John Lawton - what a great voice this man had! Add to that the great Lee Kerslake on drums... great to see these two again on stage with one of my absolute Uriah Heep favorites! Thank you very much for uploading from Germany!
John Lawton is the most underrated hard rock singer I know, he should be more recognized. The same singers are always mentioned... just because they were members of more popular bands. This guy is amazing. He still sings in the same key as the old Uriah Heep songs. A very particular ability for singers of his age. Outstanding singer!!
Not too many bands can boast of Five fantastic albums in a row. Salisbury, Look at Yourself, Demons and Wizards, Magicians Birthday,, Sweet Freedom. All these albums were jam packed with gems. Yet no hall of Fame for them. Such an injustice. Love this song.

I posted on another video UH has lost 3 - yes 3 MAJOR members of their music history in less then a year. Lee Kerslake/Ken Hensley and now John Lawton. All major players in their heyday. Yes - David Byron will probably always be the best UN vocalist in most people’s eyes - including mine - but John Lawton was a very good replacement for a music icon like DB. Some of his work on the 3 UH albums he was part of is fantastic. Big shoes to fill - but certainly wore his own shoes. Just like Deep Purple - when David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes sang songs that were originally sung by Ian Gillan they just didn’t sound right. However, the songs they created by themselves were great. Same with John Lawton - singing the DB songs sounded awkward but his original songs were absolutely ass kicking!!’
Sadly Kenny Hensley was not impressed with J.Lawtons work at the time,however fences have been mended,after the demise of David Byron.Ken was searching for a Byron clone,he found out what we all know........there was,and only ever will be one D.Byron

Но сильнь|е песни - ето не значит сильнь|й ВОКАЛ . В плане вокала - у ЛОУТОНА голос гораздо ЖИРНЕЕ , ГЛУБЖЕ , и по тембру КРАСИВЕЕ . И альбомь| Лоутона вообще-то тоже очень даже хорошие . Одна SYMPATHY чего только стоит - вообще ШЕДЕВР . Голос Лоутона узнается среди МИЛЛИОНОВ певцов , Байрона же , если не вещи URIAH HEEP - то елементарно можна спутать с другими , так как тембров похожих очень много .
