Every time you catch a swarm, rotate the traps around (switch their locations around so they spend similar amounts of time in each location) and note where you caught the bees, a summary of the weather leading up to and just after capture and what type of trap caught them. Try to keep the other parameters constant and if you catch 20-30 swarms, you should have a nice variety of data. This data will make next year more efficient for you. Try a variety of locations over the years and please do share this information. You could discover a new thing bees love :)

I'm a painter and I would suggest just puting some lacquer on your homemade boxes because bees love that stuff. Every time I lacquer bees swarm around like crazy
