Gm made an ohc version of the ls6. They put it up against the pushrod ls6 and the pushrod motor fucking destroyed it. That's why they still use it, because.it works.
I wonder were all the dislikes come from! I think that folks out there just don't appreciate the idea of a classic muscle with a modern drivetrain. This is one hell a beautiful machine. And btw Tony, greetings from Ukraine! Keep up the great work!

There are certain advantages to pushrod V8s like the LS versus DOHC engines, the foremost one being a higher output for its physical size than a DOHC motor, which achieves higher output for its displacement. They also tend to be a bit less complex, and a bit more robust.
So you think GM and Chrysler should jump on the bandwagon and give up pushrods?

ramairgto72 thats the LS2 out of a 04-06 gto which was an Australian GM produced car its a 5.7 liter 400+ engine
