    please do more videos like this . trying to see if uber freight is worth it

      Thanks George! I will do more of these soon! Uber Freight is pretty good to use and it’s free to you as owner operator. It’s not like the paid load boards.

    Best time to book a load in uber is 3-4 am Pacific time they bump the rate at that time... offers are basically to see if they are paying to much.... they usually will not take your offer if is more than $100.00 .

    • @guyinatruck
      @guyinatruck  5 лет назад

      I’ve noticed that myself. They will bump it up and bring it back down closer to business hours depending on how many people are watching the load and at what price. Good info and thanks for your comment !

    I drive lyft auto and make about $150/day but will be getting my cdl license in a week. Is uber freight worth it? Can i net over 500/day?

    • @guyinatruck
      @guyinatruck  5 лет назад +5

      Ivan G. Yes absolutely, you will have much larger overhead in trucking than you do currently on the ride share platform. Uber Freight isn’t the only platform to get loads though. Using other load boards like DAT Truckers Edge will allow you to generate more revenue. You should be able to gross 1000/day most of the time. So depending on your expenses you should be able to clear 600-800/day easily.

      I don’t believe you can. They only have 53’ Dry Van and Reefer from what I have seen. I think internet truckstop, dat truckers edge, and 123Loadboard will be your best bet for to find those loads.

      They changed a lot in the last update. You can’t do the watched loads anymore unfortunately you just have to keep looking at the available loads.

    Cool, yeah Uber definitely is a leader in app technology. Very cool feature and I like there is no haggling over detention pay. The app knows when you arrived. They value the driver also, whenever you have an issue it’s normally resolved in the drivers favor. I know this because I used to drive Uber Rideshare.

    • @guyinatruck
      @guyinatruck  5 лет назад

      EddieDrotar exactly! I agree it is very nice to not have to haggle with brokers who want us to move cheap freight! The app is very sophisticated, machine learning on a whole new level. Good rates too for the most part 👌

      You should at least have it in your tool box. My experience has been pretty good using them as a broker.

    • @kawa1755

      Not really all the customers who pay well sure as hell dont hire uber freight for loads. Your best bet is to find a small trucking company to go under and hope they take you in.

    How much can you make a day or a week.? Plz let me know thanks

    • @guyinatruck
      @guyinatruck  5 лет назад +1

      That’s a loaded question, you will have to figure out your operating costs to run the truck. I don’t use Uber freight enough to know what I could make weekly just running off their app. Some markets they have more consistent loads and I would assume you could do 1000/day.

      Charlie Dynamics LLC Uber freight has made some recent changes that I don’t like. I don’t think this option along with posting your truck is available anymore.

    Im owner operator, I dont have llc, is uber freight worth it?

    • @guyinatruck
      @guyinatruck  5 лет назад

      I would suggest getting an LLC for tax advantages and separating yourself from your business as it’s own entity. Uber Freight has been great as a supplemental load board to keep me moving. However, I would not buy a truck and base my business solely on Uber freight loads as that wouldn’t be very consistent in all areas and the rates fluctuate. I would use it more as a supplementary to a larger board or contract freight.

    • @guyinatruck
      @guyinatruck  5 лет назад

      I’m not sure I follow your question? Are you asking if you need your DOT and MC numbers on your equipment to pull a load for Uber Freight ? If so, yes absolutely you do.

    • @MagnumTheGamer
      @MagnumTheGamer 5 лет назад +1

      @@guyinatruck yea, I got a pickup truck and working on a trailer atm. Not sure if they did this with only 18 wheelers, or what

    • @guyinatruck
      @guyinatruck  5 лет назад

      I gotcha now. So currently they only have loads for Dry Van and Reefer trailers. As their customer base grows I’m sure as progressive as Uber is they’ll add various equipment type loads. But with your pickup and a trailer I’m sure you could find some hot shot loads on DAT Truckers Edge load board!
