Land rover brand service and running cost is very high. Anyway all know tht Luxury cars have high service cost. But who is ready to spend money simply on car. Please don't go for jaguar or / land rover

Anna my humble suggestion or request maybe, AVOID GERMANS CARS, especially if you’re opting for used ones. There would be many reasons for the first owners to sell their car after 1 or 2 or also after 5 years! One reason with big dog buyers or cheapskates is they just rev up the engines that too on the city roads and mind you they aren’t RELIABLE AF, there would be problems with engine or gearbox malfunction, or problem with steering racks in the long run. If you want to use it for like 1year or max 2 years, it would feel good because after that the service would cost bomb ranging up to 3-4L. If you feel like not spending much and giving it outside, forget your investments, because for every 6 months you’ll be greeted with new malfunctioning on your center console screen! If your friend chaitanya takes his Audi for service, just go with him and enquire about all the cars there, like what’s the problem and all. Finally, if you’re willing to spend up to 4 L every year on your car, JUST GO FOR IT.

I own a 2020 520d and a 2021 GLC 220d. I love the 5 series for the highway but the GLC is the more practical option. I travel a lot especially to the mountains, so ground clearance is very important to me. But for highway the 5 series is a better handler and more fun, but the GLC is not far behind either. In India the roads aren’t predictable and we need to be prepared for any situation if we travel. So go for an SUV, you won’t regret it later.

Heard a lot of times that once you secure your family financially, you can spoil yourself little bit but would love to know how you were able to secure them this early in life and also how are you able to buy such luxury things such quickly ? I mean even if you take 80-90% on loan, you need to have some confidence that the future sriman will pay it off, right? Wanna know where does this confidence comes from ? 😅

If you want a whole driving experience, the F10 or Pre 2018 530D with the 6 cylinder engine is a VFM package for your driving needs. They have been holding their depreciated value for a while now and will continue to do so if BMW slashes the 30d option.
The X3 with the 30d option is another good pick but i’d say go for the Pre Facelift car again. While they’re used, they’re an amazing shout for what they are, Driving oriented cars.
Do also check out a used X4 or a Merc GLC43 AMG new. You’d get the best of both worlds in the Coupe SUV styling

I have been driving the f10 530d msport for the last few years I feel the ground clearance is pretty adequate for city driving
You can also look for g30 530d msport(pre lci) in the preowned car space with low kilometers but make sure you take it to the company for inspection before purchasing it to avoid unwanted expenses
I feel it’s better to go for a preowned beemer cause depression is very high for these vehicles
The one you drove was the g30 530i LCI msport
Also drive the 530d it’s way better than 530i power is low in the diesel but the torque in the diesel pins you to the seat
In India I feel it’s better to look for cars with higher torque than bhp because we can’t use them to their max potential

X3 Xdrive is good 👍🏻 you can go for that, I am using it for last 1 year. Family will like it because of space.
However my favourite is the 3 series. 328i XDrive. It is a drivers car.

A sedan always drives/feel better than a SUV. The more you sit closer to the ground the more you feel connected, simple physics. 5 series with 4 people and luggage you have to be careful on speed breaker, not just 5 series, almost all of these luxury sedans have this issue. If you plan to explore places and planning to take it everywhere, sadly SUV is the way to go. Volvos making Sedans with good GC but anyways it is not your choice.
530i>X5 imo, the current 5 series generation which is f90 is one of the best looking and performing 5 series. Imo keep the luxury car for driving pleasure and fun rides and leave the rest of the work to your kia 😁. Personally, I would take a luxury sedan over its suv counterpart anyday.
Dude like seriously ? You are the one who talks about things like finance and how to make smart investments and you really want to blow up so much money on a luxury car for which you really are not that interested in. You are getting carried away with your friends. You yourself told that you would get bored of the car in just about 6 months-1 year. Also considering the fact that you hardly use your car (mainly in the city) and that your seltos is just a year old, you really want to upgrade. Also you yourself cannot state the real reason why you want one, you just keep saying that you need to upgrade in life. Upgrade in life for what ? To show your friends and create a status symbol ? I've been following you for so long and I am really shocked how you've changed. You get influenced by the market and others way too easily. You are struggling to convince yourself on the reasons why you should buy one. Also even taking a 75% loan for a luxury car is equivalent to ruining your life. Take your wife for an example she really knows the difference between needs and wants. I did not mean to offend you by this. I'm just trying to bring to your notice on the things you're missing out.
How about the mercedes glc 300, I owned it for a couple of years super good ride especially for road trips and gives good gas mileage. You should also check out the genesis gv70 I own it now and I would say to choose that over the germans as its the best bang for your buck the features in that car beat out some of the features you get in a Mercedes. Not sure if the genesis is out in India yet

I recommend you buy a bigger flat on resale in your same luxurious aparna community instead of a car. Car gives joy only when ur outside, flat is where ull spend most of your time. So..but if u ever buy a car I recommend u go for kodiaq or x3 or glc or 3 series since only the front row is occupied most of the time and ground clearance shouldn't be an issue since u always use your car in city and never on highways, trips and off road
I own a 530d, the clearance is manageable. Though have to be careful on bad roads, the suspension travel is short in Msport models. If you aren’t much into sporty driving, I would suggest the SUV .

Personal experience with bmw 320d sedan
Blindly go for sedan for that energetic feel and studdy…
Ground clearance is not major consideration as I believe because we dont make any tours on luxury cars which is heavy bite on pockets

If you are buying black color bmw better get it wrapped in ppf. Black bmw is difficult to maintain.

You don't need a luxury car Sriman. You are just fascinated bcoz your frnds are buying luxury cars. What the point of advocating savings and investment if you buy stuff that you don't need.( Luxury car, ps5, apple Cloth are few examples)

You should also check for Jaguar XE and XF as well . They are also better in terms of sedans . Also check for F-pace. It's a spacious car and comes for around 73 lakhs .

Go with the 530i i suggest its a car of total comfort & sportiness combined. The X3 is too old and not tht intresting my frnds own both the cars the X3 sits idle mostly, the 530 goes out the most. Or else go for merc.

If u aren't planning on a v8 or least inline v6 then going for a luxury segment isn't advisable on my pov cuz u know u get all sorts of 4 cylinder engines even in seltos and other sorts of car in that segment too and if u want comfort nd adventure go for a fortuner or mg gloster or skoda superb or kodiaq.... they give u the comfort of bmw 3 series... just don't go for just the namesake with a 4 cylinder engine...

Don’t even think of buying a 5 series.I own a 530d m sport,from Vijayawada to Hyderabad ,the bottom literally scrapes 80% of speed breakers.If you’re gonna buy the 5 you need to have a secondary car.it’s not very usable.
I suggest bmw x6 too for high raised cars
Instead of 5 series u can consider M340i which is way more powerful than the 530i u have test driven
5 series is better with more luxury and power is enough for indian roads , m340i is useless
