Moving holds and animating still bodies with just a little bit of movement, can be a huge challenge! Our animation tends to look floaty, doll or too dead. In this video, I'll show you animation tips on how to master those moving holds. It doesn't matter if you do your 3D animation in Blender or in Maya, the software is irrelevant when it comes to this, cause I'll give you the basis on how to develop your eye as an artist and how to build your portfolio and your career.

I don't know why I watched this, I'm not even an animator. Good points though!
Love the tips, I can't until I'm more advanced and can try incorporating some of these subtleties. They're definitely really important for breathing life into your characters!
Also your nails look amazing!
Hahaha, you're always so kind, my friend! Glad you enjoyed the tips!
You'll be up and running in no time! I have so much faith in you!!
Aww, your nails are also awesome!
Cheers, mate!

OMG you are ONE of the most beautiful person here in youtube.
xD
Love it! True; body language is powerful and talks a lot!
I think even if I am not an animator if we draw or model a character in a certain position, despite being still, it can tell a lot!
Breathing~ Something I would never think about but makes a great difference and I feel when I notice it in movies, I love it-
Cheers, Cheers

I'll prefer your videos to all of other Animators, because you're really full of positive energy and that's really cool - it's like you're learning and also exited about which Ilse will teach to you !
haha aww, that's very sweet, thank you! When I'm editing, looking at myself, I'm like, oh god, I'm too energetic D:
hahaha So this is helpful! Thanks a lot!
@@IlseZamarripa I wish for you to be always energetic and dear Ilse I'm Amir someone who is motion graphic artist
Really, really good tips. Great video! Thanks. I never thought about breathing from the chest, and then the shoulders and head following in sequence. And the heart pumping up. That was new too. I'm experimenting with taking my 3d animation into real footage. What is challenging me at the moment is having two characters (one a live actor) in a scene and balancing having the animated character seem alive, while not taking all the attention away from the actor while she's talking.
So good and clear...love your attitude.
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Welcome to the Worldspace family!
this is a great tutorial and your personality makes it much more fun to watch, thank you
Thank you so much! I appreciate it :)
I wish i had taken better care of my teeth...you are vivacious, that must be a very useful quality in an animator ; )
Thanks for the tips Ilse! Loved the Energy and Positivity you bring to us, It reminds me of why I love animating and learning at the same time :)
Place a new keypose key a few frames ahead than go back to the original key frame pose you just copied and than tween machine that key 97% towards the new key you just placed and Shazam! Moving holds :)
Got to learn something new today. Thanks for this video 😊
Thank you.
Me ha encantado el vídeo Ilse, son pequeñas cosas pero marcan la diferencia en la animación sin duda! Gracias por compartir tus conocimientos con nosotros :)
