Perfect soft boiled egg just how I like them. I did some hard boiled eggs and they were ok. They always say it's as easy as boiling an egg. But it's hard to get them just right. I will definitely try this way. It's also a good way to do it because the air fryer switches off when it's finished. One time I put them on to boil and forgot about them, when I remembered nearly all the water had gone. I had to set an alarm with Alexa next time I did them. I have just subscribed to your channel and will have to check out your other videos

Thanks good vid. There are several vids on you tube for air fryer soft boiled eggs but every single one misses an important point which will affect the cooking time the same way as it does in a pan. Are the eggs small medium or large. I only use large eggs for everything....cheers.
Just watched you boiling eggs in a Air fryer, just a quick question does it matter what power Air fryer we use reference to timings or is 8 minutes ok in a Ninja, I would love to try but scared they would explode and make a mess of my Air fryer 😊
HI Sarah it's a bit of try and see as all the air fryers are slightly different but you shouldn't have any problem with them exploding I have cooked them up to 14 mins without it happening but just be carfull and you should be fine 🙂
I was going to do the same but could not set 120 on my air fry so did it on 150 for 8 minutes. Took egg straight from fridge. Turned out well. I must admit I was fearing an explosion as first time trying it. No runny uncooked egg white I usually get when boiling on hob.
Does it matter how many eggs are in the fryer for that setting to work? Could the same setting work for 1 egg ? Did you add the eggs to cold water afterwards to stop the cooking more?
Hiya I haven't tryed one egg but i would say same setting I didn't put them in water as served straight away and they where fine thank you for viewing and commenting it all helps us keep the channel going
Nobody answered this - but one egg works well and so do 4 as it's only hot air and radiant heat firing down on the food. A neighbour of mine said she had to turn it half way through as the shell was scorching. Doesn't happen with mine. So I reckon her air fryer is hotter than 200c. A small to medium egg would be best at 7 mins 30 seconds otherwise the yolk is runny at the top and starting to harden at the bottom of the egg. If you wanted it hard boiled I would say 12 minutes. And for that yes dunk it in cold water before de-shelling it. Hope that's helpful from here in UK County Devon
My neighbour already tried this a year ago and said she had to turn the eggs at 4 mins as the shell were starting to scorch - which makes me think some air fryers have the platter rather close to the element so they effectively circulate hot air and grill (broil if you're American)! Mine didn't. A small to medium egg size takes about 7 and a half minutes to be just right soft boiled not watery and with no hard yolk at the bottom of the egg.
@@cookingtheeasyway-jv2kd I tried it this morning and it came out perfect ! Well I never! I've had an air fryer for 18 months, but never thought of cooking soft boiled eggs in it. I would have thought, if someone had suggested it, that the eggs would simply explode. But did you not have to use several eggs up first to get the right temperature and cooking time?
This morning i did an egg in the air fryer I did 8 minutes at 150c perhaps a minute longer next time for lunch I did 2 eggs hard boiled 12 minutes they were good
I tried this recipe, but I ended up with semi-hard-boiled eggs. I don't refrigerate my eggs, which probably made the difference, and my air fryer keeps on going for 30 seconds beyond the cooking time which again didn't help, so next time, I will try 200C at FOUR minutes instead for runny eggs.

Hi Andrew. Because of the efficiency of an electric air fryer; even though it takes longer, the cost of running the air fryer for 20 minutes is less than using a gas hob for 5 minutes.
I don't eat boiled eggs. Too hit and miss to get the doneness exactly right. Instead, I poach my egg in a poaching pod in a steamer for four minutes. By poaching you can test the doneness and leave it for another 10 seconds if necessary. If you don't have a poaching pod you can use a ramekin. Just make sure you smear a little butter on the inside before dropping the egg in.
@@SuperLittleTyke I have a microwave poacher which works really well, 60 seconds for soft boiled, 65 for hard boiled. On another note, I air poached six eggs finally. Did not like the rubberiness of the whites. Guess it's back to boiling for me.

You should not keep eggs in the fridge unless you are American. When did you go into a store and find eggs in the fridge.
@@grahamjohnson4702 I put them in the fridge as I don't use them that often and they last longer.
@@dpleech1 not if you store them in the door as the constant opening of the door affects their temperature they should only be stored at the back of the fridge to avoid this.
Can boil quicker 6 min
HI Martin it wouldn't be in the air fryer then🙂
So...... your room temperature eggs in the UK....... are our refrigeratored eggs is Australia??😂😂will definitely try.....( hope I have not offended anyone)
Yes I think so Jane Thank you for viewing and commenting we do appreciate it 🙂🙂🙂
Should never refrigerator eggs only for baking
No in Aussie we don't refrigerate.
Are you kidding me?? Eggs are shelved in the refrigerated section in the supermarket ,along with salad leaves and all other green veg and fresh juice
Absolutely NO Idea WHY ... I Kept Imaging The Legendary Tom Jones To Doing This In Song !
That's not unusual 😂
Just noticed your blog and subscribed! Did you use room temperature eggs? Brilliant thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Hiya Michele yes i always use my eggs at room temperature,i don't keep them in the fridge apart from may be the batter when i make Yorkshire pudding i think the coldness gives them a bit more crisp,Thank you so much for subscribing watching and commenting it helps us so much to try and build the little channel please invite your friends and family if you can and keep us up to date how your cooking is going 🙂😀😀
After 4mins, Why didn't you toast the bread in the airfryer?
HI Antony as i had the toaster on,is there a reason you ask?
Just thought it saves putting another appliances on..
@@antonypacan5849 good shout but I think we already had something in so was out getting used anyway 🙂🙂
looked interesting...but what language is it in?...is there a one with subtitles?
That's strange as most of the other 70k viewers can understand me maybe it's you that has a problem maybe 🤔
That cats been eating a few, size of it
Love it haha she will love that she is a dog 😁😁😁
All I could hear is "Breakfast with Brian Johnson from AC/DC".
Aye whys that then
@@cookingtheeasyway-jv2kd your voice and accent sounds like Brian hahah!
@@UPL-xl1yz we must be from near the same place but not quite as Brian is a geordie
After 4 minutes the shell blew off and after 8 minutes it came out with a shell like rubber and hard boiled inside. Not a great success
That shouldn't be happening. Everyone's air fryers are different and you need to adjust the temperature and time.
Whopping accent you got there pal where you from?
@dc662 Thank you North east englam mate
Or I can do them in half the time in my egg machine
HI Fred exactly Fred you could but then you wouldn't be cooking them in a air fryer
An excellent tip but the pedant in me thinks they should be called, "soft baked eggs" 🧐
You could be Right ha thank you for viewing 😊 😉
Why though?
???
Ok it works but may as still them in boiling water for 4mins 🙂
HI Andrew both ways as easy as each other i would say 🙂🙂
@@SuperLittleTyke check our other videos the one about poached eggs same idea using a ramekin in the air fryer 🙂
@@SuperLittleTyke I have a microwave poacher which works really well, 60 seconds for soft boiled, 65 for hard boiled.
On another note, I air poached six eggs finally. Did not like the rubberiness of the whites. Guess it's back to boiling for me.
Eggs look fine but no chance of that spread on the toast...horrible.
🙂🙂
thas reet u nah
Not a clue what that means
Margaryna😢🤦🤦🙄
YEP YOU SPOT ON ALL WE HAD AT THE TIME
anything looked ok apart the toast -- didn't use proper butter,,, horrific
Everyone has a choice
What? I didn't understand a bloody word you said!
What a shame unfortunately I won't be apologising for my accent 🙂
Then LISTEN!
@@ALLANCHARLES-uu9cs 🙂🙂🙂
At least use proper butter…
Hi Minal why?
Why didn't you put the bread in the air fryer too? This makes no sense
HI Sitjar not sure how big your air fryer is but all that toast I was doing would never fit in the other draw of my air fryer, sorry you think it makes no sense but no way they would have fitted
Who puts bread in airfyer 😅
@@eakokelI have an oven style air fryer and toast works well in it
